Ghana launched national rent assistance scheme.

What this means is, if you are qualified by the govt standard, the govt will pay for your rent and the charges are entirely flexible with a very flexible payback option

With the number of community road projects, entertainment centers and many development happening in Kumasi I can safely say the city is bracing up for their new status (an international airport city).
There are many projects underway

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPfvH1JdXOM
I will like to have Kumasi maintain her ancient historical status like cairo( egypt)we can always have a new city anywhere at the part of the country .

Kumasi should be more embroiled into typical historical city with the very modern artistic decoration in mind . We can always have a city where ancient values ties up with modern design .

Even london maintain some 400 years storey building same as many european country .

At least We're better than your certified shithole. As small as Ghana is, Ghana should be competing with European countries because of her gold, cocoa, oll etc. But look at that zoo today. A huge slumpolis grin cheesy

Your partner vaxx, said Borno state, which is in northern part of Nigeria is far developed than Kenya. cheesy if Borno is more developed than Kenya, what would you say for Ghana grin grin grin
Don't be stupid , If I mean borno is as developed as Nairobi ,it doesn't mean is as developed as Accra. Ghana is not a barren country , there is Enough food and water supply here . We don't struggle for fuel nor sleep in darkness . The remote part of Ghana enjoys all the necessary basic amenities that will be difficult to access in bornu .

Kumasi is your second best city. So I'm comparing it with Port Harcourt which is our 5th best city in Nigeria. Even if I compare it with Ibadan, Ibadan will still flush your kumasi and Port Harcourt will flush your tema, hands down.
who is driving such ignorance into your head. Tema is next to Accra in terms of city development in Ghana. Kumasi is an historical city like Benin and ibadan or say kano and maiduguri. Portharcourt is next to lagos and abuja in terms of city development . Where you get the fifth city is what I don't understand.

You have a childish understanding of how nigeria look like

To those who are comparing Kumasi and portharcourt . Kumasi is an ancient historical city. Compare it with ibadan or Benin City there are ancient Nigeria city or probably kano or maiduguri. Another ancient city in the northern Nigeria.

If at all you must compare portharcourt with any city in Ghana , then try Tema since but are harbour city and look srimilar in terms of economic development.

kigali cant even compare itself with cape coast talkless of accra nor Kumasi. . Kigali is just coming up gradually from genocide . It is a very new country but far less developed when comparing to some old standard country like Accra and the rest .

You know what, take out kigali from rwanda and the all part of rwanda look like a big village .

You have free fertilizers?
Your country is a superpower now. Even SA or Egypt can't have free fertilizer, but u have it! Big up big up
But smugglers are making a huge profit from it by diverting the product into another country making the fertilizer less available in the country . That is the problem we are facing now. Similar with oil subsidy in Nigeria.

But we're not putting a stop to it , we are rather introducing a stiff punishment for the offenders. Farmers must benefit directly from the Govt. Free fertilizers is only available for cocoa farmers not other farm product . We subsides for the rest .

it's funny the name of this thread is about Kenya and Nigeria...but when it's about Nigeria.. Ghanaians will find a way to smuggle themselves in..to get some relevance ...Nobody send Ghana...well except our lost black brothers looking for home and Ghanaians are asking them to come back...Ghana has always been a dust filled village...
Either you like it or not . Ghana being a small country has remain relevant ever since . Ghana produce the highest number of gold in africa and top 7 seven in the world , so economically we are important . What ever Nigeria has as source of revenue we also have it. So what.

we are now negotiating how to sell salt to you instead of you buying it from far away brazil for development of your crude oil .

The Nigerian Government disclosed that cross-border smugglers are to blame for the ongoing fuel scarcity stating they divert PMS meant for the Nigerian market.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) on Friday.

They reassured that there is enough PMS in Nigeria at over 1.6 billion litres as of 26th January 2023.

Diversion: The NMDPRA said smugglers are diverting PMS meant for the Nigerian market which contributes to scarcity, they said:

” The current distribution hitch is heightened by activities of cross-border smugglers, who divert PMS meant for the Nigerian market to neighbouring countries where PMS prices are significantly higher than Nigeria’s regulated price.

They added engagement has started with the Nigerian Customs Service to address the issues.

Sufficiency: The energy regulator also noted that Nigeria has enough PMS capacity to supply demand presently, saying:

“The NMDPRA wishes to reassure all Nigerians that there is PMS sufficiency of over 1.6 billion litres as of 26th January 2023 both on land and marine”

Arbitrage: They also blamed the price arbitrage between Nigeria and West African countries on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they said:

” The Price arbitrage between Nigeria and neighbouring countries has continued to grow due to inflation and the regional impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the global energy value chain including international freight rates and coastal vessels charter rates.”

The agency said it is working with NNPC to address certain measures including automation of products sales interface, rehabilitation of critical fuel distribution road network and modest adjustment in the cost of product transportation to cater for the impact of high diesel prices on transporters.
Ghana is an oil producing nation yet oil is not subsides here , we rather subsides Cocoa farm product and make fertilizer entirely free , education to the secondary level including boarding house free ars well.

Some of free fertilizer end up in burkina faso as well. Not until govt take a serious action against it . Smuggling fertilizer in Ghana is like smuggling Cocaine .almost the same punishment . Tough punishment for the offenders .

Tinubu once said , why should he have four cars and been paying for subsides petrol for neibouring cameroon and Benin republic.

imagine a Ghanaian talking fuel price with a Nigerian.
How much is a litre of fuel in ghana as compared to Nigeria..
idiot we are used with high fuel price , it is new in Nigeria . And so what .

Hopefully you know a Diesel in Nigeria is almost 800 naira which is almost the same price with that of Ghana. At least in Ghana we have brought out innovation, most of our taxis uses gas .

The answer to that is... fathers are addicts and junkies..
Mothers are hungry and looking for whom to buy them one cedis kenkey and fish..
The drug addict father saw a hungry girl with ulcer—starving.. he buys her one cedi kenkey and fish and in return, she offer him her stench emitting g.enitalia..
9 months later, some of these nuisance here were born, shipped to grandmother without properly breastfeeding them to grow brain like normal humans.

Another unfortunate news

I think instead of jailing them or repatration. We should rather tax them and they will increased the revenue pulse of the nation.

A total of 8 girls, who were trafficked into Ghana to engage in commercial sex have been rescued, 7 of them were repatriated to Nigeria. The perpetrators (all Nigerians) are on the run except 1 female, who was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment in hard labour

Fuel price would most likely increase further in Nigeria just like Diesel because Subsidy would be gradually removed.
I read it in BBC Pidgin news that it was politically motivated. Tinubu said so. He said it was part of the techniques his opponent are using to ensure he is not successful in the coming elections.

In Ghana we are used to buy fuel at high price . Nigerians are not used to it. So it may come as a suprise to many nigerians .
