See it is more than 7 to 8 times that kenya rebased its GDP. going back 2013 ..Ghana had a bigger GDP than kenya . I am sure when the 2020 digital census comes out and many hiding index that were bidding flush out . you will see the next figure. The rate at which Ghana economy shows it can overpass kenya so easily . it has already over pass Tanzania by IMF and world bank record...

personally, i will say nairobi has multinational corporations than Accra base on data but not developed based on opportunities of financial capacity.......

They want flashy areas ... and that is why goverment is piloting investment thru the marine drive project . it has already been commissioned and cleared . works will start soonest..... it just that what is the purpose of investment that is only meant for the rich . I think we can put it as the rate at which a country is developing not how developed a country is basing on cement consumption. and as a matter of facts that is not the only indicator for measuring development, their are a number of things; retail sector, HDI, skyscrapers, wealth,infrastructure(roads,buildings,social amenities...) ... e.t.c but someone can't just wake up and say Kenya is underdeveloped basing on cement consumption.. Ghana of all the countries !!! This is a joke indeed

The only factor of measuring development is HDI....that is all we have . development is about human social progress not neccasrily what we see but experience. And alas when you check this out Ghana did well above kenya ....

Cement consumption on another look is just a matter of dragging the amount of expenses going in a country .

Dangote is not a key authority in Ghana cement industry. he is just a player ....now goverment has even regulate its buisness more. stastically, the amount of cement he brought to Ghana has reduce unlike before, so most of its product are largely smuggled in . how can such a player knows the accurate figure. he can ballon it or downsized it for its own benefit ....

You shold simply ask where this money are going to. i am not gonna spoonfeed you by telling you how your budget is spend blindly. your last budget on education was consumed by salary . no building of schools, No rehabilitation of worn out project . and now you are piloting a new education model which the goverment claim it will received additional boost hence the current increament .

you dont need an entire survey to carry out a rebasing when sectorial surveys are available for the purpose you intend to carry out.
Institutions like CDD and Imani carry out surveys evey two years.

I highly doubt figure produce in Kenya. most of the body dashing out figure are basically goverment funded. there may be some corruption elsewhere as history shows kenya goverment is highly corrupt . I challenged them to produce any recognised independent research in Kenya that has validate goverment work and it is also acknowledgable...

Anyway 11 billion cedis is far more than 2 billion. what Ghana spends on school feeding which is in excess of 200 million cedis that is roughly above 40 million dollars. it will reduce your poverty level....


proactive country can allocate supplement budget if needs arises. Your country will damm crumble doing that
