I was just coming here to share my concern about the negative outcome with ACS too. I studies elect/elect ND and HND at Lagos State polytechnic.

Feedback is

Your Na􀤘onal Diploma in Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology from Lagos State
Polytechnic completed October 2007 has been assessed as not recognized and therefore does not
meet the requirements of the ACS as stated in the policy manual

" Your Higher Na􀤘onal Diploma in Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology from Lagos State
Polytechnic completed September 2010 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Advanced
Diploma with insufficient compu􀤘ng content and therefore does not meet the requirements of the
ACS as stated in the policy manual."

And for work experience, I uploaded random payslip for each year I worked with each organization. The feedback is: " Not Assessable Due to Insufficient Documenta􀤘on"

Sorry to hear about your negative outcome. I have a few question which might shed some light to your case.

1. Can you post a screenshot of your assessment result removing any personal details?
2. How many ICT units did you undertake as part of your degree? Can you list them including the unit code? Does it have at least 33% of ICT content? Or is the ICT content at least two thirds of your degree?

I always advise people who have engineering degree and want to apply for ACS assessment to also submit a course profile. This is because there are some courses which might include ICT content but not listed as ICT in your transcript, hence, ACS would miss this. You can always get a course profile from your university.

You can go for a review once you lay your hands on your course profile. I am almost certain that there is enough ICT content in an ELect/Elect degree from Covenant University.

PS: I have just google elect/elect courses at Covenant university and I can see a lot of your courses are related to ICT. However, because of their naming convention ACS might not know they are ICT courses. Hence, the reason why it is very important to provide a course profile along with your application. Please get your course profile and go for a review.

I'm Accessing for Network Administrator with ACS as that is the body listed for my skill class.

I have cumulative 12Years work experience across various sectors as at today.

When I used the point calculator, i had 75points.

ACS states that the assessment process takes approximately 8-10 weeks.

Kindly put some light to the Plan B, let me start looking it up while waiting for ACS's result.

I can't create EOI till the assessment result is out.

What occupation are you assessing with acs? How many years of work experience do you have as at today? What is your points score 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 or 100?

189 nomination was cool towards the end of last year and sometimes at the first quarter of this year. No one knows what it will become later this year. Because at those times I mentioned, 65 above got nomination on 189. But I must tell you IT occupations are super competitive and very hard to get nomination these days especially for Skill Level 1 IT occupations.
Some people like my self had to go through Trade recognition Australia to assess as ICT Technician nec 313199 even after waiting for 2yrs at 80pts as System analyst (skill level one occupation) between 2021/2023.
But the moment I opt for trade occupation, in just 7days I got nomination from NSW for 190 @ 85 points.

I am not trying to discourage you about 189, but to have plan B should the 189 becomes tough again. You can as well create EOI for all visa subclass one for each for each state.

There are a lot of Indians who has got beautiful IT work experience, studied here, got 90+ points but unfortunately, they are not getting invite on 189 or even 190. Some state are stringent with 190 while others do not. NSW and ACT are liberal with 190, but not SA, WA, and NT as well as QLD.

So, please work around creating EOI for 491 as well. This visa class is not bad. Some people who go about talking down on it simply do not have one.

Offer letters won't cut it. You will alternative documents that show evidence of pension and/or tax remittances. Also, you will need bank statements corroborating your salary payments.

In my case nobody confronted me cos you know how gowon estate is ...just like residential area..you don't expert vio or camera in there ...Right now I have removed my two plate number ..if they like let them.keep snapping unnumbered car ...that one I will contest it. They even increased insurance from 5k to 15k ...now I am gonna pay 15k plus 20k ...this country is making g things tough for her citizen especially lagos . I think getting another state's plate number is the trick out of the headache. Some of my friends already got Abuja plates

Just go to Ojodu office (if you are in Lagos) with your proof and you will get a clearance.

This morning I got a message from.vis that my car committed traffic offense . The fine me 20k and I was given 7 days to pay to avoid impoundment.

Granted my road worthiness expired and I was sent a reminder but the steering rag of the car is bad so I decided to park it at home pending repair . . I understand I had to fix it before going for roadworthiness .

The question I am asking ...do vis fine vehicles that are not being driven around ? The funny part is that the said the offense happened today while my car has been parked for more than two weeks now . .

How do I go about contesting this

I had the same experience late last year.

I was driving on a morning and was stopped by the VIS officials around Ikotun. He checked and said I have a pending fine (driving with expired vehicle license). I argued it. Then I decided to pick my phone from the car to call the contact I have at VIS office, only the did I realize i have forgotten my phone at the place I was coming from (Just about 5 buildings away).

I told the officer about my phone that he should please hold while I pick my phone then we can get the situation sorted. Next thing I saw was towing vehicle.

Long story short, they towed my vehicle.

After getting my phone, I called my contact, he checked and told me the date of the said offense. Lo and behold, the date was 2 days after I had renewed y vehicle licenses and I did not even drive out that day! How did traffic camera come to my house to snap my vehicle plate.

I had to go to Ojodu office to resolve the matter. Got a clearance paper (at no cost) and took it to the VIS office where my vehicle was towed to. But I still had to pay the towing fee. The whole day was wasted

The so called automated system is wack. I heard what they do is they have people who scan through the system to check vehicle licenses that are about to expire and they apply the fine to them.
