Idle Air control Valve...right?

How do I confirm its blocked or not ?

Is your iacv blocked..? Mechanics do that to cars.. It's in the throttle body of your car.

Currently there is no error code. Last error code was throttle body position sensor. The sensor was replaced and check engine light went off.

Temperature gauge reads normally. After warm up the temperature gauge needle stays a little close to middle.

starting the car in the morning (cold start), engine rpm should be at least over 1000 rpm to allow quick engine warm-up, before it settles to around 650-750 rpm(on most cars). yours not doing that could signal a problem with the idle control system or coolant temperature sensor not giving signal to ensure idle up of engine. please perform a scan to ascertain what the problem is and while at it , ensure your temperature gauge is reading properly.

Putting your gear to drive usually loads the engine and causes rpm drop, but should not cause noticeable vibration. scan vehicle and post results here sir.

1. When I start in the morning the engine idles at 0.5RPM, as such drags and vibration are felt. But when warm it goes up to 0.8RPM.

The usual behavior I expect is to have about 1.2RPM when cold and it lowers to 0.8 when warmed up.

2. When warmed up and I shift gear to drive, the RPM drops from 0.8 to 0.5.

Had to replace my Honda Accord 05 brain box cos of this AC discharge hose issue.

The box was drenched before I could suspect.

Thought it was car wash guys

Inspect camshaft position sensor and it's wiring. A cold start hard start. Check coolant temperature sensor as well.

As regards coolant temperature sensor, I observed when I start the temperature needle goes all the way up immediately even when the car is not warmed up. But will latter adjust to the normal position.

Could it be the sensor failure ?
If yes, can I assume that is probably what is causing cold start. How do I explain to my mechanic please.

In the morning or when engine is in cold state, My Honda accord 05 doesn't start at once. Will have to hold down the throttle pedal sometime for it to start. And when it does rpm pedal stays low at about 0.5. Then it take a long time to warm up after which ROM gets to about 0.8

Mentioned this to my mechanic (Kazeem) he said its the spark plugs. Even though he hasn't checked.

What could be the cause of this please so I don't start trial and error.

No, they are different, there is PSF for steering, though very few drivers know this.

experts in the house...is it transmission oil (ATF) that is to be used as power steering fluid?

I drive Honda Accord 2005.

Worked on the AC of recent cos it started blowing warm air and before then, the AC only pics/starts when the car is moving. It doesnt start at all when on a spot.

The AC guy did somethings and the RPM needle goes higher over 1RPM (The Engine revs higher) when I start the AC on a spot which wasnt so before. What could he have done please cos he keeps claiming that is how it's suposse to be.

Pls gurus in the house.
My HONDA EOD slips to false neutral while in traffic or any terrain that causes me to drive slowly. When I turn off the car and turn it up again the gear picks. It happens like 3 times daily. I scan the car and it these codes in the pics below.

Please which way forward. Can't afford a tranny replacement now oh and I don't want to give it out to a mechanic that will worsen the issue

I know that feeling. Its annoying.

I had exactly the same issue last month, my mechanic scanned the transmission, there was no error code. He mentioned that the injector head also has some control over the gear selection system, so he removed one from another Honda for a test. Lo and behold, it solved it.

will have to move the gear to Neutral or park, turn off Engine and start again, move the gear to D then it drives.

What could be the issue please.

NB: Gear moves and select normal. the challenge happens once a while when Idle and about to move. (Example - GoSlow)

Are you sure the remote control buttons are okay?

Does the [b]tiny blue ligh[/b]t on the remote come on when you press the buttons, if so, then there is an issue with the receptor sensor attached to the central lock that works the remote.

May have to bring down the vehicle.

Went to get a new key. Engine starts but the key doesn't remotely lock and unlock the door.

The guy who programmed the key said a sensor in the key is missing and as such the whole ignition needs to be replaced.

The guy said the remote sensor on the ignition is missen and the ignition has to be replaced for it to work.
