Meen, it was hard, that route is Loong. Calabar faaaar! And now, I feel old to be complaining.

And the strain comes from the too many start and stop because of checkpoint.

Nonetheless, it was great to see the roads and the changes, (Ughelli don develop expand) east west road was sweet to run cept I could not get to my favourite speed 140kph cos I was unstable, (heavily loaded) and one of my engine seating was partially broken (it was when I reached Calabar I saw this)

Any way, I thank The Lord for He made it very good and sweet for me.

Make sure you don't use official (government) number plates on your vehicle if you're driving through the South East.

Some miscreants along those paths are committing arson and murder in the name of fighting the FG. My friend lost his colleague simply because he drove a car with presidency number plates.

Whatever you choose avoid onitsha. Onitsha hold up will cost you more hours on the Trip.

How long should I have in mind from Portharcourt to Calabar, and someone here says I should prepare to eat 4 hours at Odukpani (7 years ago it took me 7 hours from Calabar to Warri.)

Umuahia road is under repairs. Odukpani calabar road alone na 4hrs journey.

for the south western roads, I dunno about it.

Ogbele O Odukpani is still bad? It's even because I heard it was under repairs which is why I allowed myself to fall for this opportunity.

No O. I am both a malabite and have Calabar roots, and it's been 7 years since I have been there last.

Bro, I drove from Lagos to Calabar last week....but.....guess what? I drove thru the longest route. I drove thru Akure, Kogi, Benue.....yeah, it's a long route but with lots of rest of mind. No Police harassment, just smooth drive. It's a 48 hours thing. But going thru the normal and shortest route? God forbid, those guys you see on the road are animals in human skin..

That's the kind of journey I like. I don't mind breaking it in 2 days just that I can see that this route will require pre-knowledge, hmm. I am going to enquire about it. Thank you.

@Veecruz do not try this if you're not Igbo. If you use this route and you jam UGM, sorry will be your name. Use warri-PH route instead

Start very very early from Lagos. Go through ore-Benin-onitsha-owerri-aba-ikot-calabar. The only bad road you’d encounter is from aba to calabar. It’s a one full day’s drive. Start by 5am arrive by 10pm latest.

Hi nairlanders, I need your help.

I started having cough seven days ago and I as well took some over the counter medications to sooth it (Erythromycin, Augmentin and a liquid one) . But it seems while I take the medications, the cough worsens especially at night. The cough is very dry and doesn't produce anything and it's mostly triggered by a funny sensation at the back of my throat.

I don't really experience any other symptom apart from loss of appetite.
I'm afraid of going to the hospital to avoid being kept in the isolation center for the suspicion/fear of covid.
Could this truly be Covid?
What should I do?
