This board is the worst thing that happened to Barcelona for a long time. As they stay on, brace yourselves for the new low that this legendary club will reach.

I feel good as a Barca fan that Neymar and his money minded entourage are leaving the club for the following reasons. Though he was not as bad as Figo who claimed that he is going to stay and ended up at RM when Perez won the elections. That is the only exception between him and Figo. Only if Neymar made clear that he wants to goto PSG for money or Balon d’OR or main man etc. the fans would have forgiven him. Now fans have started hating him and he will be the follower of Figo who knows you may see a pig head in Nou camp if there is a match between Barca and PSG in champions league.

Let’s hope for the best- Dembele, Seri or a similar controlling midfielder and also I hope we get PSG in every CL round of 16 to knock them out as long as Neymar plays for them.

One good thing is, the club evidently doesn’t want to negotiate anything with PSG and the clause is going to be paid fully. So the exit will be quick and less painful than having to hear rumors of player exchange and that holding up negotiations.

However Neymar destroyed our transfer activity and I’m actually worried about how our stupid board is going to spend all that money. The initial sounds- Dembele [MD] and Seri [from France] look encouraging, but that’s all they are. I’m hoping the board will spend that money wisely and take Valverde’s approval before making any signings. If we make smart moves, the club’s future is secured.

Also, I’m happy that the club won’t have to put up with Neymar’s money hungry father anymore. Apparently, the club spent nearly 200 Million on Neymar in 4 years- salary, transfer fee, “bonuses” to his dad, all those legal penalties etc. However what will eternally sting is that the club’s name was dragged through the mud by Sandro Rosell for this money hungry guy. It’s a wound that will stay always. Also Rosell sold Thiago Alcantara, Xavi’s readymade heir for this guy. Think about it….

Neymar is now the new Luis Figo for Barcelona. The Catalan media now hates him- Neymar: Show me the money! and I’m sure he will be roundly booed (or worse) when he returns to Camp Nou for a CL match.

MSN, the trio which has been destroying opponents for years, is no more. Neymar will continue his career at PSG. Will Barca take a turn for the worse or will he easily be replaced? Will Neymar continue to be exceptional at PSG? Could he guide them to UCL success? There are so many questions and so few answers; we'll just have to wait and see.

there's nothing wrong in neymar seeking a move to psg for the money or for any other thing. football is business. the only thing wrong about neymar is throwing tantrums and putting up a bad behavior in order to force a reaction from the club, giving him an alibi to force a move. that's so disappointing.

Lets just start with few significant transfers in the recent past to start with.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United to Real Madrid)- CR7 was undoubtedly the best player in the world at that moment and Real Madrid desperately needed someone who can challenge Messi.Not to forget the motivation to be the best in the world and forced a move himself though sir alex tried his best to keep him.That deal cost Real Madrid a staggering €90 Million and made him the most expensive player in the history.


Gareth Bale(Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid)-He had the same ambition as cristiano, to be the best in the world.This deal made him the most expensive player with €101 million being paid by Real Madrid.


Paul Pogba(Juventus to Manchester United)-The most expensive player currently cost Manchester United €105 million. He wanted to come back to United to help them challenge and make them a European powerhouse again.Eventually the motivation to be the best in the world.

All these deals had not just individual significance but global significance.Real needed them to be able to challenge Barca on all fronts,ManU needed pogba to help them rise the European ladder.All these legends have a bigger challenge and ambition when they moved to these clubs.

Now let’s take the case of Neymar. Currently he is already at a European Giant playing alongside Messi and Suarez.He is still 25 and has a lot of football left in him at the highest level.The French League is not as competitive as La Liga or Primier League.Nor does has a challenge in league apart from FC Monaco who are already selling their top talents who brought them the league.

If Neymar leaves Barcelona for PSG then it would be more for monetary gain then for anything else.

Will it be the same as CR7 Vs Messi or Pogba Vs Hazard? I don’t think so.And also it would defeat the purpose which is the Love for Football and nothing else.

PS: PSG need to pay an upward of €222 Million and most probably a hefty fine which FIFA Fair play rules will be incurring on them.
