When I see Messi fans jubilating with all manner of fantasy, calling him GOAT with so much adulation and encomiums, as if he single handedly won the world cup for Argentina, I concluded that these people are myopic and jobless. Afterall, one shishi will not enter your pocket out of the millions in Messi's account. Some even went ahead to drag CR7, who is far richer than Messi as if they're doing Messi a great honor and favor.

When I see these people, I just laugh. The actual football GOAT is no one but the indomitable "KING PELE", not Ronaldo or Messi.

Having taken d time from page1 to here n seeing other people's thoughts, I want to say that the major problem of the world is love. When we love genuinely, everything will change. "Change the way you think, change your life!"
Because of pure hate, some people supported Saudi Arabia,then Mexico, then Poland, then Australia,then Netherlands then Croatia all because of one person. Worst part some of them went to church today and even prayed for the downfall of another person. All because of Ronaldo some have hated this guy unjustly. Anything Leo does is being hated. Please let's shun hate n violence, if you're big you're big, ur time will come. Most people supporting France where not supporting them right from day one. This game is love v hate, love always conquers.
However, some comments are disgraceful. How can you say Argentina winning is fixed, HBD entered even d players staring at penalties (what if they lost? Those that lost do they have 2heads?).
May the best win! If Argentina wins we celebrate, if they don't we move. It's when you fail you learn better, it's when you lose, you fight better next time. Everything is on the line. God help Argentina,amen

I honestly don't want Messi to win the world cup not because I am Ronaldo fan but as a football lover who want things to be fair for everyone invloved.

To be candid, Messi is a fantastic player that grace the world with his mesmerising skills in football which I am honoured to witness. But for some glaring reasons which I highlighted below, he shouldn't win.

Since Argentina lost to Saudi Arabi in the opening match, they have been awarded penalty in all the matches played. This made Messi to score four penalty. Are they the only team?

Messi did an intentional handball which deserved a red card but wasn't given anything. I remember when Van Persie did the same thing in champions league final between Arsenal and Barcelona, he was given straight red.

Some people desperately want Messi to win and start bending rules to suite him. Not only that, they use media to put people's attention on Messi. That is the main reason Messi was named world best player seven times.

If I may recall, Wesley Sneidger deserved the award in 2010 for wining treble with Inter Milan and also featuring in world cup final but it was given to Messi who won no single major trophy. The same thing can be said about Robert Lewandoski.

Ronaldo Delima won all trophy but not a single champions league, that doesn't make him a legend. If Messi fails to win world cup, he will still be considered a legend.

So, I will love to watch a free and fair final.

I'll start by saying that if you get
a penalty every game it's not a bad thing it doesn't mean you are favoured there's VAR to review if it was unfair, as for Messi, it's not his fault he has scored penalties almost all matches, mind you he has missed one too. Secondly, Messi did an intentional handball which rightly deserved a yellow card, it is the referee who gives cards, the ref lost control of that game giving 15+ cards but he is to blame for not booking him. He was later booked for a different offense, if he was immune to being penalised, he wouldn't have been cautioned. Please go to FIFA n complain. Ballon d'or is by VOTES, if me wey no Sabi ball get nominated n voted for, if you like win UCL, world cup n everything, I will still Edge you. Finally, with or without world cup, Messi is a legend. We want a free n fair game of football. As much as I was Leo to win, it should be fair. Please leave hate n sentiments aside, cheers
