mr reidkrugger, oh boy ur blood dey boil gan ooo. did u say pained. ur words tickles. i have a feelin this is coming from somewhere, like some niggerz i roughed up way bak. it's aiit to wanna stage a comebak. i dnt just see it happenin. i can c dat u re really pissed off with all that lines just to say somtin. well, u will just have to wait n c if we really have somtin to show or not. till then read ur tutorials and b a good boy.

@ reidkrugger: 2 b frank, dat ur animation is in a way funny but it is just not it. every department of 3d on ur character is totally out of it. modeling zero, shading, lighting and rendering is zero. animation 2/10. for heaven sake i no dat the application u re using can offer more. it is obvious u need to read n drill harder cos u really ve a long way to go. we want to create standards remember and by ur animation, hmmnnn, if possible tear it down. dats my criticism

how many studios do u no where 1 guy uses maya n anoda 3ds max and anoda c4d and anoda blender and that they all work under the same production company.

wot am sayin is dat make ur research based on studios or groups. am sayin this because, atleast most studios or grp will be doin tangible project and with this u can really learn n c the whole picture of thins that are involved in the industry. most guys have gone astray. not becos of the app they re using but because they re little islands and they will neva do anytin tangible. my studio uses maya as its main 3d app in our production pipeline. any other 3d app cannot fit in into our pipeline from d level of animation upwards. but, at the level of modeling it is still very
possible to wrk with guys wit other 3d apps.

that's not d right question. the question u shud b askin is which studio, team or group of people can u learn from. this way u will have a foresight of wot u re jumpin into.

into a team. am sure u no wot a production pipeline is. i use autodesk maya n a frnd of mine used 3ds max n we re developin ways to make
our flow seamlessly.

melvi: The awesome thing about 2d animation is that u would not require a high end CPU with crazy specs.All u require are good drawing skills,a drawing software,some idea of how movement works(which will improve with practice) and a graphics tablet,especially Wacom tablets.Although one could use a cintiq which is good but it's expensive.Just start with Photoshop or Flash.They don't require high specs.A basic laptop with a good color screen should do but u have to have a lot of patience cause it takes time.

3D is divided into different categories.U have modeling,uvmapping,texturing,rigging(kinda technical,has to do with setting up constriants,driven keys,expressions,nodes e.t.c especially with setting up custom rigs),animation,lighting,rendering and post processing.It isn't easy to master all categories.Most ppl pick one category and work on improving their skills in that area.Most times,generalist usually have categories where they excel and are good at and areas where they are not so good.Thats why 3d animations done solo normally suffer from this.U might see a 3d animation work done with superb animation,rigging is great,models are okay but the lighting is not so good,or post processing wasn't done.
I think if studios are more available here and there are teams working on a project,the final output will look better and require lesser time because where one team member may not be good at,another might be good in.

yeah, studios u say. this is d key to it all, brainstormin, teamwork, division of labour and so on. solo aint good n it will neva b good. soon som 3d artist will rise n will get d respect of others n then d formation of thins will begin.

ladanski: @velociraptor its a short clip but will hav good render. Btw all, starting to learn computer animation does not require a ton of memory or an expensive software. There are free alternatives you can use to create your pipeline[model-texture-animate-render

landanski, i think the issue of high-end computers has got to do wit some serious rendering, face d fact, if u re going to do a good animation but with terrible quality in terms of clarity n quality den u mite not bother about high end computers. the reason y u need a good computer to do 3d animation will depend on d depth of ur project. so if u ve a normal system like dual-core 2gig ram with this one can play around with animation but for referring to the real deal u need a good workstation

the animation is basically about robots shooting one anoda n a car race animation, so we re talking about gun shots, object bangin on metals, robot with full metal parts moving on a metal floor n car chase animation. if u re good n u can generate or u ve a large collection of sounds u can wrk wit let's no ontime cos we re through with rendering n compositing all dats is left in d compositin is d sound.

@lenny5000: i can bet it with u ramsey noah will not even buy his own movie. listen to urself, we shoot movies in 10 days and ve good stories and u tink the western world is amazed. somebody pls slap me out of this nightmare. 4 ur info. figurine was not shot in 10days thats about the only director trying to set a standard in ur crazy world called nollywood. that word nollywood alone is so unoriginal.

@oyb: yeah, i wish to do 3d is not by force. if u cant get a good machine and maneuver ur way to get ur job rendered den dats is no excuse to do
wot i termed as inferior animation. the fact phcn is a beech and rendering is a dic and they will always screw each other. am currently on some project
too and believe me its not funny wen u tink of wot i ve spent on fuel but i gotta do it. so, its no use cryin over spilt milk nigeria will get beta hopefully but 4 now make use of d best of it. e.g a country where u can buy expensive softwares for as low as #150
