I think that there will be increased carrying of cash across Nigeria's borders to countries where FcY cash deposits is still allowed for sure.

I think the market is still trying to figure out how to effectively react to this decision and what effect it will have on the exchange rate in the parallel market. The next couple of weeks are going to be really interesting, following keenly.

While the USD has fallen in the parallel market, the Euro and GBP have appreciated somewhat around the same time, what is responsible for the shift from USD to the EUR/GBP if this hypothesis is true?

please anybody knows the minimum operating balance for dom acct. in Diamond bank, i know the opening balance is $100, i intend to open dom acct. with them because i can get two reference, i would have loved to open with fidelity because their minimum operating balance is about $20 but i can't get two reference. urgent pls.

You can also use the diamond referees to open your Fidelity bank account, only that it will take longer for the bank to verify the referees

It would seem that this thread has derailed from it's original objective which is "monitoring dollar rates". It's been a while since anyone posted any rates.

I got an offer today from my dealer in Abuja to Buy $12,000 off me at 239. I usually transfer from my account to his and then he pays me.

I have a counter offer from another dealer in VI Lagos for a cash exchange at 241.

Both offers were made at 10 am this morning. I have been monitoring this thread in the hope that I can get a rate at which to negotiate with both dealers for a better offer, unfortunately nothing has come up from here so far.
