eyeview:
As the PDP National convention draws near in Port harcourt,a lot of intrigues and political alignments have commenced with an eye on who will be the party's flag bearer at the 2019 presidential elections.
An opinion poll is on.
In your opinion, who do you think is the candidate that has the best chances of snatching the presidency from the ruling APC in 2019?
Please drop your opinion(well thought through).

OLADD:

No, compatriot. No rational thinking person would canvass for discontinuation of existing projects for new ones They must be complimentary. However, I find it unreconcilable for Fashola and Buhari not to introduce new initiatives that are different from the existing ones which they completely rubbished as a waste prior to the last election. By now, this govt should be focusing on alternative source(s) of power generation other than the gas and hydro powered ones. All the noises made in the rundown to the 2015 elections on electricity turnaround were mere hoax and election winning lies. That's my take.

What's this one saying...where are the funds to start another fresh plan?

When the existing plans were already discussed with international fund partners like in China and th govt didn't follow up. You think any partner will put money into a new one when the old one agreed wasn't implemented?

Sentiments apart..am happy Fasola continued. If someone had continued the OBJ one...tidy up the grey areas and probe if necessary, we wouldn't have lacked power this much.
Thank you.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Economics Loses To Politics As Buhari Takes Naira Stand – Bloomberg by vereniken: 11:56am On Apr 22, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
I don't know who is advising President Buhari but his insistence on not devaluing the Naira to reflect present reality is one decision he would live to regret. The false sense of value we are giving to the naira is not helping anybody neither is political consideration more important than the economy. The suffering we would experience through devalued naira won't be compared to the hopeless situation we are now. in fact, if the country is pragmatic enough, the devalued naira policy would turn to be a blessing.

Brilliant....china is second largest economy in the world..few years away from the US (on paper though)...Chinese investors will have a tidier way of doing business in Nigeria without fear of currency volatility

Tax the religious centers not the poor... this Foolish government will not learn.

Oga, if only you research more and think deeper....
Do you know the fad in lagos and some top cities right now? Well let me help you, they now employ foreigners such as Filipinos and they are paid in dollars...they are taxable and also...visit major private constructions across lagos and you will see sierra leoneans, togolese and beninoise...not nigerian...those are taxable as well....or they should be left alone to siphon our money to their countries?

PDP guyz needs to up their game.....shame though...
