The operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a 20-year-old man, Sylvester Chima, and three others for the kidnap and murder of one Miss Oluchi Nnodumele.

The State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, told Southern City News on Tuesday that the men of the Anti-kidnapping Unit of the Command arrested the suspects in Rivers State.

Galadanchi gave the names of the other suspects as Gift Igwe, 27, Solomon Godwin, 28, and Wosa Okachukwu, 23.

The CP said the suspects were arrested on August 29 in Rivers State in continuation of the manhunt for the abductors and killers of the 20-year-old Nnodumele, who hailed from Awo Idemili in the Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.

He said some suspects arrested earlier in connection with the murder of the girl revealed to the investigators that more suspects were at large.

Galadanchi said, “We have arrested additional four suspects in connection with the kidnap and murder of 20-year-old Miss Oluchi Nnodumele of Awo Idemili in the Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.

“The suspects were arrested on August 29 at their criminal hideout on Alawama Estate Road, Rivers State. They have already confessed to the kidnap and murder of Miss Oluchi Nnodumele, 20.

“During interrogation, the suspects mentioned names of their gang members who are now at large and equally confessed that they have four AK-47 rifles and four six rounds of English revolver pistol in possession of the fleeing gang leader.”

He added, “Let me assure Imo people, especially the family of the slain 20-year-old girl, that my command will not rest until we bring all those who have hands in the kidnap and subsequent killing of that innocent girl.

“Crime has no place in our country and to all those who murdered that girl, they can only run, but we will catch them. The investigating team has been mandated to fish out all of the suspects.

“As a command, we understand the agony the family of that slain girl is passing through and as a law enforcement agency, we will nab all the fleeing suspects, including the gang leader.

Galadanchi, who called on the people of the state to keep providing his Command with information, said the community policing strategies of the Inspector General of Police were the brain behind his achievements.

Vice President Kembo Mohadi claims he now fears for his life after he initiated divorce proceedings against his official wife Tambudzani Bhugadi Mohadi, whom he accused of sending threatening messages on his mobile phone.

On August 10 this year, Mohadi approached the Civil Court in Harare seeking a protection order against her and an order barring the Beitbridge Senator from selling property they bought as a couple before finalisation of their divorce matter. .

Part of Mohadi’s founding affidavit filed under case number DV1797/18 reads: “I have approached this honourable court seeking an order for protection order against the respondent in terms of the Domestic Violence Act.

More particularly, in that the respondent is a very abusive person and/or a person of a violent disposition such that I am now living in fear of my life. .

After the respondent [Tambudzani] got served with copy of the divorce summons, the respondent has escalated her violent tendencies against my person [Mohadi] and even calling me on my mobile phone while insulting me and threatening to tarnish my image, which has the potential to damage my political endeavours in view of my political office and as a member of the government.”

Mohadi claims Tambudzani is now influencing the children to insult and turn against him and they are also selling some matrimonial property with her blessing.

It was no other name than that of Togo international footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor who she said she may date very soon.

She described Adebayor as someone who is very rich and gorgeous and those are the things she is looking for her dream man now.
