Zooposki: Ok. A woman with great character(regardless of she can cook or not, take care of the house or not, etc) is what most men should also look out for. She can learn to do all those but a character she cannot. Nobody is telling you to marry broke and and ambition-less man. At least he should be able to provide for himself and buy you dinner if you go out but not footing your bills. The later is your family responsibility. |

Zooposki: Women should make sure they date men that can comfortably take care of them and any future children they have together. Don’t let any man broke shame you. Look for husband material, same way they look for wife material. It should be women should make sure they can pay for their upkeep and not transfer that the responsibility to a man you are dating. Nigeria is a poor country with millions of girls who want to live a soft life and depend on rich married men for upkeep. This attitude has become a culture amongst Nigerian women.
The average Nigerian woman is getting married to escape poverty not for love or to build a family |

Owerri zone has developed into two to three different cities due to concentration of all govt establishments in Imo state for only Owerri zone. Hear irisher from Owerri above telling us that modern development in Imo state was planned by the state for only Owerri senatorial district; this has been the primitive instinct of Owerri over Imo state since the state was created. I don't really five a fuq about what you do in Imo state because I have no say there but all we the Anambra people are saying is to back off our state! Amah70: Take break. We are not in the military era when states were created arbitrarily without consultations. Before creating Anambra State, parts of present Anambra south senatorial district belonged to Orlu Division. Even today, parts of Anambra south are in Orlu Dioceses. Some of you wear the name Anambra as if it's a golden crown, and in the process you show discrimination by Igbos against Igbos; the same Igbos who shared the same East Central State in the past. Don't worry, more informed leaders in Anambra south who don't see differences among Igbos, came together in 2005 and joined leaders from Imo West (Orlu) senatorial district and asked for Njaba state to be created as the 6th state in the Southeast. They are on it this time also. It's the same Njaba state proposal which is renamed Orlu state proposal today. Orlu was in the same divisional status like Awka and Abakaliki before the old East Central State was created. Even before the emergence of East Central State. Some of you who wear the name Anambra like it's a golden crown and talk "no part of Anambra must be taken to join any part of Orlu zone for a sixth state in the Southeast zone" are misguided. Anambra is a misrep by military dictators for Omambala. Omambala River does not pass through Anambra South. From Uzo-Uwani, Omambala River flows into the River Niger near Onitsha. Persons without inferiority complex don't attach any importance to this latter-day Anambra State is one and cannot have a part of Anambra south joined to Imo West Senatorial district for a 6th state in the SE. You are digging your own hole. Anambra people will not agree to carve their state out. Wake up and smell the coffee |
Politics › Re: Ihiala, Orumba, Ozubulu: Am I The Only One Thinking This About Orlu State? by viccy12(m): 6:34am On Jun 16, 2024 |
Amah70: The two Reps from Anambra south said they were not consulted, not that they rejected the proposal. You know what consultation in today's Nigeria's political parlance means. Lobby possibly with cash.
But when Mbadinuju from Anambra south was governor of Anambra state, he and then Imo state gov, Udenwa, spearheded the demand for creation of Njaba state then, the same Njaba state proposal called Orlu state this time. Another former military gov from Anambra south as well as traditional rulers from Anambra south also resolved for creation of Njaba state. Civilized way of saying we are not interested. |
Politics › Re: Ihiala, Orumba, Ozubulu: Am I The Only One Thinking This About Orlu State? by viccy12(m): 6:32am On Jun 16, 2024 |
onumadu: This is not true. At all. And that is because you have Nnewi North and South there too. You also have Ekwusigo LGA there too. You may talk about Ihiala (I need to confirm this first though), but even that is a stretch. And when talking about political/cultural things, please forget about the Catholic church districts. We are talking about POLITICAL leanings, and you need to show me political proofs to support your view. Most of them are also "Nri-Awka". As I mentioned already, their representative at the national assembly is already kicking and screaming NO to the idea. Until you get me politicians from the area supporting the idea, you are not landing any points. The while old Aguatta is culturally Nri-Awka. Only groups like Uli, Ihiala, etc are linguistically affiliated with Imo groups. But they will not still want to leave. Why: Anambra has developed an identity, a brand and pride. People want to be from Anambra. |

abuzz33: You cannot eliminate street trading by offering arenas. Nigeria has an infinite supply of traders ready to sell on the road if you let them. Street traders after all are looking for location, location, location. The more traffic the better.
Unregulated trading destroys profits and destroys investment. The UK has high streets where in high traffic locations you find sophisticated shops and high rents. In Nigeria, show me a sophisticated shoe shop. You can't because it's sold in barrows. Show me a sophisticated grocery store. You can't because it's sold on primitive tables in markets.
Until Nigeria understands the concert of regulated competition there will be low scale businesses that don't grow beyond two or three man shops. Small scale equals low innovation, low investment. We will not continue to live like animals just to accommodate street traders. A law banning street trading must be enacted and strictly adhered to. Everyone must not be a trader. Let them learn a skill. What fuckery |

onuman: Lol. In 2006, Rep. Ugochinyere who now put the Bill for Orlu state might be in Primary school or Junior Secondary school. Why do you think: in 2006, Njaba state (same as this Orlu state) was adopted by Ohaneze Nd'Igbo for creation as 6th state in the SE? in 2014, the same state was proposed? in 2024, the same state is proposed?
Answer: because considering the history of state creation in the SE, a 6th state in the SE zone must come from Anambra and Imo States, or from any of the two states. Why do you keep using words like "must" ? Who do you think you are talking to ? |

Anambra has nothing to do with Anam, it is a misspelling of Omanbala from the Hausa people who created it.
Oru people in Anambra know themselves and have been working to have a state of their own for years. Amaigbo people do Mmanwu (the real mmanwu that you're using to name your masquerades), do Okorosha, do Owu the same way Idemmiri, and Orumba do. What do they do in your town?
