News of a female Pastor Yvonne who died in a hotel went viral recently. The face of the pastor who lodged with him in hotel has been finally revealed.Pictured above is Pastor Psalm Okpe of Fresh Oil Ministry, who took Yvonne to a hotel in Benin where she passed a night with him without her husband's knowledge and died under controversial circumstances.
Her husband said from the CCTV footage he and his people watched, his wife Lodge in the same room with the pastor, but he had claimed that they were not together. The husband also alleged that the way the pastor was moving as captured by the CCTV showed he knew what led to his wife's death.
Sources say the pastor is in detention but some big pastors are asking the husband to drop the case.

Sports / Five Top US Women Footballers Sue For Better Pay by Vickose(m): 8:49pm On Mar 31, 2016
Five senior members of the World Cup-winning US football team have filed a lawsuit against the national federation for wage discrimination.

Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd, Megan Rapinoe, Becky Sauerbrunn and Hope Solo say they are paid less than half of what the male USA players receive.

"The numbers speak for themselves," said goalkeeper Solo in a statement.

The US Soccer Federation said it was disappointed, given the work it had done in building the women's game.

American women's football has dominated the international game in recent decades, with a string of titles.

"We are the best in the world, have three World Cup Championships, four Olympic Championships, and the USMNT [men's team] get paid more just to show up than we get paid to win major championships," said Solo.

Her team-mate Lloyd, who was named the best player at last year's World Cup, said they had been patient over the years in waiting for action to deliver fair pay.

Former Everton and LA Galaxy winger Landon Donovan - who won 157 caps for the US men's team - tweeted his support for the women's team's cause.

"#USWNT absolutely deserve to be treated fairly in all ways," he said.

"Important to remember that these issues are/can be collectively bargained."

The lawsuit against the US Soccer Federation was filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Thursday morning.

One of the lawyers representing the players, Jeffrey Kessler, said the women's game generated more income for US Soccer than the men's and it was time to address the "discriminatory and unfair treatment'' they have endured for years.

The five players were acting on behalf of all the players, he said.

There has been an ongoing legal battle between the federation and the players' union over collective bargaining.

A statement from US Soccer said it had not yet seen the complaint.

But it added: "We have been a world leader in women's soccer and are proud of the commitment we have made to building the women's game in the United States over the past 30 years."

Romance / 11 Things To Do Before Your Next Date That Will Make Him Crazy For You by Vickose(m): 10:08pm On Mar 28, 2016
He's picking you up in an hour, and you're almost ready. Going on a date sometimes feels like interviewing for a job position-you both secretly analyze each other all night. If you're going on a date with your boyfriend or spouse, you can still use these techniques to keep the dating spark alive. If you're going on a first-time date, make sure to do these things-he'll love it:

1. Style your hair with confidence

You can tie your hair back into a ponytail, or you can try that new braid you saw on Pinterest. Spend a few extra minutes on your hair-it's usually the first thing someone notices.

2. Perfume, perfume, perfume

OK, don't overload on perfume, but make sure your smell is noticeable. When a guy says, "Wow, you smell great," a woman's confidence is instantly boosted.

3. Put on those heels

Unless you're going to a sporting event or doing some type of physical activity, dress up a little! If you're a woman who doesn't want to wear heels, then don't-it's that simple. But if you're going to a nice restaurant, play or party, bring those heels out of the closet.

4. Shave your legs

If you're wearing long pants, you can skip this step. But shaving your legs doesn't just have to be for a man's benefit. You'll feel more confident and cleaner when you shave, shampoo and lotion.

5. Prep your purse

Make sure you have everything you need, even if you don't think you'll need it. Include a phone charger, band-aids, tampons and face powder. You never know what could happen, and you don't want to be left with a dead phone and no idea what to do.

6. Bring your wallet

He won't go crazy for your money, but if you bring your wallet as a backup, you'll look ready. If it's a first date, offer to buy dessert or something small. He'll most likely decline your money, but he may notice how cool you are at being willing to share.

7. Dance it out

Dancing before a date may boost your confidence and calm your nerves. Play some music while you're getting ready, and you'll automatically get more excited for your date.

8. Brush your teeth

Brushing your teeth before the date will make you feel fresher and make you look better too. Also, bring some mints or gum for your evening, especially if you're going to be eating garlic bread or hamburgers for dinner.

9. Brighten your eyes

Don't overload on the makeup, but adding a little sparkle or white eyeshadow to the edges of your eyes can make them pop. Find what colors work for you. Your date will be looking at your eyes all night, so make them memorable.

10. Add some sparkle

You don't have to be a girly-girl and throw on tons of glitter, but if you have something cute you've wanted to try, try it! You can even add sparkle in subtle ways with the jewelry you wear. Slip on that gold necklace, wear those bangles or put on some earrings.

11. Send cute texts

If you have his number, send him some casual texts before the date. Don't send too many and come across as creepy, but be excited enough in your texts to make him excited for the date too.

And don't forget about the post-date text (PDT). Women who send the PDT may give off a signal they want to go on another date. Even if the date was just OK, sending a thank-you text is a polite thing to do.

Dressing up or looking cute doesn't have to be solely for a man; you can do what you want just for you! These things may differ depending on the kind of date you're going on, but each of them will give you added confidence and preparation for your next date.

Politics / Re: Nigerians: You Live In A Paradise And Dont Even Know It! by Vickose(m): 12:15pm On Jan 20, 2016
jayfolarin:
I'v wanted to write this article for over 2 months but its discouraging thinking about the number of points i need to raise to support my claims! NIGERIANS WANT THE BEST THINGS BUT NEVER WANT TO PAY FOR IT!! HOW ON EARTH DO YOU WANT YOUR COUNTRY TO DEVELOP?!

Quick question; Imagine government fixes Nigeria's issues of electricity and internet with other basic amenities today, Who here would be willing to pay an annual rent of N1million for a single room (Not one bedroom flat oo) in a city like Ado-Ekiti and N3million for the most average single room (shared toilet and bathroom with at least one other person e.g face me, I face you houses) in a city like Lagos?! Note: This is just basic rent and is therefore without utility bills such as Electricity, Heating, Water, Garbage, Internet etc that averages about another N900,000 yearly.

I couldn't stop shaking my head at the gullibility of some Nigerians as i read the various comments on the N50 bank charges thread. That is what? 2cents charge on banking transactions that does not even include savings account that most of the commenters use oo! Even South Africa reportedly demands that you pay an equivalent of N500 for deposits into your own account (Savings or Current)! Where I live, you are demanded to pay an equivalent N4,200 in charges for deposit into another's account if you aren't a customer of the bank!

Nigeria has the lowest VAT tax in the world and i'm sure y'all will take to the streets in protests if this is ever increased! I pay N1,500 in charges for every ATM interbank withdrawal of an equivalent of N10,000 and you all couldn't stop screaming at the N65 naira (after 3rd transaction) that was introduced by the CBN last year! Haba Nigerians!! You want to live 'comfortably' like Americans and Europeans but aren't ready to pay the price! Who does that sh*t! One of the major reasons why you don't enjoy goodies is because because you haven't had to pay enough taxes. It is partly a reason why the government doesn't feel very responsible to the people as well. Oil is not anyone's property anyways.

I really can't remember the last time i visited an hospital but i'm mandated to pay an equivalent of N23,000 monthly for health insurance! Would you be willing to pay such amount for the sake of development in the health care sector in Nigeria?! I don't think so but you would be the first to take pictures for nairaland about the pitiable state of one hospital in your city!

You want the best Infrastructures in the world but have never paid taxes from your businesses! Some people would rather close up shop than pay the most basic tax to the government! How on earth do you expect any development if you aren't ready to help government with funds? Nigeria is not the only country with oil, we don't even have as much as Russia but expect to get everything for free because there's oil in the land! What would y'all have done if you didn't have anything but rocks and granite? you would expect the government officials to use their personal incomes to develop the country first and then see if you like it or not before you decide to pay?! I no pity your destiny!

Nowhere in the world is mobile internet data cheap, Nigerians automatically feel they are being ripped off by mobile operators who use the same infrastructure that's being deployed everywhere else! For a 2gb mobile internet data allowance from T-mobile, I pay N5,000 monthly, This is not even close to what Nigerians get from the mobile operators but they scream to the heavens still. Agreed, cable/ADSL, wired internet is cheaper but you cant blame this on the telecom industries, Government should make provisions for that! But again, how many persons would not scream 'Rip off' if you all are asked to pay a mandatory internet fee ranging in thousands of Naira every month

From food to clothings, transportation, even prostitutes (Girls in brothels here charge at least 12k for a quickie, Don't ask me how i know grin), Nigerians live on the cheap and want to keep up with the expensive! No! It doesn't work that way! You have to pay for developments that leads to a robust economy which in turn leads to higher standard of living (Job creation, Increment in Minimum wage, Good roads, healthcare facilities etc)..
