You don't have to be a medical personnel, pharmacist to be a health blogger.. But you must be someone in the science niche or a very good researcher..

Do you know how that there are thread like structures named cilia which push dirt upwards when we breathe in.... Bam I did not have to be a pharmacist to know that... I just had to be very resourceful

There is more I want to talk on this matter I mean if you look at most Nigeria blogger who are dying to for money and they go into pornography blogging or school gist or scholarship... How much millions are they making today? Adsense is continuoulsly tracking and blocking their accounts... Thats what blogging for money leads to.....

I think KikioTolu helps people in one way or the other. Am also a young budding writer and I have found it though in getting pages to post my content apart from Facebook. And with the open policy of KikioTolu everyone is free to post with us. I got this idea form top pages like all poetry,stories.xnxx.com which are all doing fine.

yourhealthattitude copies posts from other blog and posts them on his own.... he gives health advice.. He tells how to help yourself....
But who is the admin of yourhealthattitude is he a medical personnel. or a doctor in training, chemist, pharmacist.. Just who is he?

Before you give health advise you must understand what health really means... It took me months to understand the Health blogging atmosphere and am still understanding it..

Health blogs are not like tech, entertainment, fashion or inspirational blogs..

I am proud of it because I started out knowing zilch about blogging or websites or anything of the sort. If I did nothing, I would have zero page views. But I need real tips on how to get t steady traffic. The contents are there and they sure are interesting. But how do I get people to find it.

What a blog... Erm what are you hoping to achieve with this blog... Because trust me no one would wnat to come and read your blog if the post does not help them in one way or another not matter how interesting they are....

you are heading into great competition with an entertainment blog... But if that is what you like doing then no problem

You know the thing wrong with all of us bloggers is that we dont think about our readers....
I mean the greatest way to get traffic is to post meaning fully content that readers would want to share... and this will get you loads of traffic

But we dont do this

You can use nairaland to get traffic
Including twitter

Other ways include
Creating a contest on your blog
Creating a post in which you ask questions and winner take a price (recharge card)( it helps you keep your readers glued to your blog)
Paying people to share your content (like 100 recharge card for person who shares 5 times)

I am not a marketing expert and I have only been blogging for about two months.

On my blog http://www.segilolasalami.co.uk/blog/ I update the latest episode of my podcast show, I write useful tidbits, write recommendations for children's books with downloadable illustrations

One strategy that I have found to get people to read my content but not necessarily on my website is by submitting my blog feed http://www.segilolasalami.co.uk/feed/ to RSS directories. For me that is a win because these people may not have found my blog otherwise.

I also linked my feed to twitter, so immediately I post a new article it goes directly to my twitter page which is linked to my facebook page. Twitter has been the number one source of traffic for my blog, then facebook and even reddit.

Now I will admit that my blog itself only gets about a 100 pageviews per day but has an amazing bounce rate of 16%. As my blog is niche (compared to say celebrity gossip) I am happy with the figures. Obviously I would like to still grow it but I understand that it may take a bit of time.

What do you guys think?

100 pageviews a day is like not so good

According to a Google Adsense research out of 100 pageview you get only one person will click you ads meaning you wouldn't make much moeny

And you shouldn't be proud of 100 pageview... Do you know how many internet users there are in the world that your posts could have a great positive impact on their lives.

Fight hard to get to them

Set a goal everyday for yourself like me I set a goal as 500 pageviews minimum and I share my posts till I get those page views
