The gentleman above Kennyflyair has analysed it all but you can still find other differences between Redmi 8A and Redmi 9A:

8A comes with a 6.22" screen, an 8mp selfie camera with a 12mp rear camera which runs on android 9 pie out of the box.
it's bluetooth version is 4.2
If you're a Snapdragon fan this phone is for you as its powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439
with an 18watts fast charge capability



while the Redmi 9A has a screen size of 6.53", 5mp selfie camera with 13mp rear camera it runs on android 10 out of the box with its bluetooth 5.0 version
If you're a MediaTek fan the Redmi 9A is for you as it functions with
MediaTek Helio G25 chipset with a
10 watts fast charge capability.

It all depends on you to make a choice btw choosing a Snapdragon or MediaTek device as both chipsets have their pros.


As regarding the pricing it's a Xiaomi thing.. they did same for 8a vs 7a prices were lower then I guess it's just to promote the newer models

Although you're not talking to me, let me give you my opinion.

To me, redmi 8a is what I would choose. Reasons
1. 18 watt fast charging (9a Support 10w Max)
2. Usb C (9comes with micro usb)

NOTE that 9a has a fairly larger screen.

I would have said something about their processors but I don't know much about processors. 8a is snapdragon while 9a is mediatek.

Choose wisely. 18w is better than 10w charging. I didn't take this wattage stuff seriously until I got a 4000mah phone with 5watt charging...na die. 5 hours to full.

In the end it's your choice tho.

I currently use it. The app management is quite good. You can play pubg on extreme settings and cod on medium settings. Even asphalt 9 plays well

4. Turn on your phone
