Honestly as hard as it may seem, being self employed/being an entrepreneur seems to be the best. Tho it pays more when you are a focused, determined, persevered, risk taker.

But I know not all can do that. Some will be due to capital limitation. But you dont have to start big. I'm very sure if the person receiving 6k per month had started a mini business, e.g selling of stationeries/frozen stuffs, his/her gain will be more than that 6k in a month.

Or even learn a skill, like making of bags and shoes, making/selling of snacks. Catering services et all...

Even when I was serving, my PPA payed 10k. Not to say a full graduate. Saddening

Am sorry, but you seem to be missing it.My assumption is based on the fact that I'm not one of the students. We were only asked to state the arrangement and not specify the colours. I used the colour examples, so as to make anyone that reads understands.
The simple answer is: the 1st and 2nd were putting on sams colour.

Then again, you said the 2nd person couldn't have known the colour he/she had on. Why not? When the two people behind already stated their colours, what else?

Remember they were asked one after the other.... It's simple, but tricky

I disagree with your explanation. Look at the bolded, they were asked "what colour" that means they ought to be specific. What's the use of the puzzle if the 3rd student can't tell the exact colour he/she is putting on, but knows it's a duplicate. The question ain't solved that way. They were meant to be specific. And that's why the real answer is what I've explained earlier on. The 3rd and 4th students knows their colour, cos the two people in front of them are putting on same colour.

Wooow. Okay this seems tactical.

Let's assume the duplicate is a blue hat. The 1st and 2nd person, is putting on a blue hat while the 3rd and 4th puts on red and white.

With that the last student will know he/she is putting on a white hat, cos he can see all the students in front, and the 3rd student seeing that the 2 students in front are putting on blue, will automatically know he is putting on a red hat.
