POISONED LOVE- Episode 16-18

(E-book/Story)

Episode 16

On a Thursday evening.
“hello? Steven?” Sophia called on the phone.
She was at home.
“hey, love. Wats up?” Steven replied buoyantly.
“I’m not really fine”.
“what? What’s the problem?”
“remember the group test I told you we’d be
having tomorrow? Well, I’m really in a serious
mess. I don’t seem to understand the outlines”.
“Oh, that’s bad.”
“yeah, it’s really bad. And you promised helping
me out earlier today in school, but you failed to”.
“yeah, I know. I’m really sorry. I was kind of
busy.”
“I’m really confused, Steven. This test is
important”.
“uhm… I have an idea. I’m at home now. So, I
think you should come over so I can help you
out”.
There was a pause.
“hello? Sophia, are you there? Can you hear me?
Just meet me at home, okay? I’ll be waiting… ”
There was a Crack and the call ended.
Sophia remained muted, not knowing exactly
what to say.
‘did Steven just ask me to come over to his
house?’ she thought.
She had never been to his home before, although
she knew where he lived. It felt odd to her.
At that moment, Lily’s words rang in her head
like an alarm.
# he makes use of even the slightest
opportunity”.
She tried to wave it aside.
They’ve been dating for close to two months and
he’s never brought up such issue before.
But wasn’t that because she’s never been to his
house?
“please, Sophia,” she said to herself. “besides,
his parents might be home and there wouldn’t be
room for such nonsense”.
She knocked on the gate and was welcomed in
by the gateman. He was a short black man and
he had a uniform on.”
“hi, good evening”, Sophia greeted as she
adjusted the bag on her shoulders.
“welcome. How may I help you?”
“I’m just…”
“Sophia!” Steven called from behind as he
walked over to meet her.
“you came?” he asked and gave her a kiss.
They both walked into the house together,, first
approaching the sitting room.
Sophia was starring around the whole time. The
house was magnificent. It could almost be
compared to an estate.
And the sitting room? It was beyond description.
Someone might possibly think it belonged to a
famed politician.
“welcome to my humble abode”, Steven said,
spreading his arms apart.
“it’s… It’s beautiful”, Sophia recommended, still
taking her eyes around.
“uhm… By the way, where’re your parents?”
“my parents? They’ve been off to work”.
“work?” Sophia asked nervously. “So, who’s
home with you?”
“no one. Just me.
Come with me”, Steven replied and walked into a
part of the house, expecting Sophia to follow him
behind.
Sophia was confused. She couldn’t tell why she
felt uncomfortable with being just alone with
Steven.
Steven,, who had been ahead of her, stopped and
noticed she wasn’t following him behind.
“is there a problem?” he asked.
“uhm… No”.
He led her into a room which was probably his.
It was refurbished and well decorated.

Episode 17

‘Steven was really a spoilt brat’, she thought to
herself.
“So, what’re we talking about?” Steven asked as
he sat on the bed, leaving enough space for
Sophia to sit beside him.
Sophia settled down next to him and brought out
her books. He set off immediately to explaining
things to her and at a point, Sophia began to
feel at ease.
After a long while of explaining and elucidating,
Sophia and Steven finally decided to come to a
pause as they had both become exhausted.
“you look tired. Hold on”, Steven said and left the
room.
Sophia leaned her back against the wall of the
bed and sighed. Steven was really a nice fellow.
She felt lucky being with someone like him.
Shortly, he returned to the room with a tray
containing two glasses of juice and two little
plates of sliced cake.
He dropped them on the bed and gave one plate
to Sophia while he took one for himself.
“thanks”, Sophia said as she collected the plate
from him.
She took a little bite from it and discovered it
tasted good. After that, she sipped from one of
the glasses of juice.
“So, how’re you coping with the lessons? Hope
I’m being of help?” Steven asked, also biting at
his cake.
“well,, maybe. By the way, this tastes really
good”, Sophia replied.
“Oh, dear. Thank. I made it myself.
“hm. You can tell that to the gods.”
“I’m damn serious. I baked it myself”.
“not even in your wildest dreams”.
And they both laughed for a while.
They ate silently, but not for long.
“you’re beautiful, Sophia”, Steven said after a
short while, starring directly into her face.
They were sitting very close to each other.
“I know. It’s nothing new to me. So, don’t think
you can flatter me now.”
“Oh,, seriously?” Steven asked and laughed.
“come on, let me feed you”, he said as he
collected the plate of cake from her.
“I’m not a baby, Steven. I can do it”.
“just shut up for once. And who told you you’re
not a baby? Don’t you know you’re Steven’s
baby?”
“hm. Indeed”.
Steven cut a little slice of the cake and fed it to
Sophia. She ate happily.
And while she was eating, some particles stained
on her lips.
“you claim not to be a baby, yet, you still eat like
a baby ” Steven said as he used his hands to
clean it off her lips.
“come on, Steven. That’s because you’re feeding
me”, Sophia replied and paused.
She noticed Steven’s fingers were stucked to her
lips and his eyes kept starring at them.
“is… Is there something wrong?” she asked,
starring into his eyes which were starring at her
lips.
“no”, Steven replied and finally kissed her.
It was a snogging kiss.
Sophia could comprehend what was going on at
the moment. It took her quite sometime to
realize Steven was kissing her and they were
both on the bed.
Steven held her face tenderly and continued
kissing her. She was kissing him back.
She thought of putting a stop to it, but she felt
helpless. She kind of enjoyed it.
Then suddenly, some words flashed into her
head like someone recovering from amnesia.
First, Lily’s words:
‘ # Steven’s a playboy and that’s what he’ll always
be. He acts like he cares, but he doesn’t. He
makes use of even the slightest opportunity and
once he’s gotten into that special angle of yours,
you’ll mean nothing to him”.
Then secondly, Treasure’s words:
‘ # the truth is, I’m very scared for you. He’s
always been a playboy and that’s why I can’t
can’t tell if he’s changed or not’.
And finally, Oliver’s words:
‘ # Don’t think you’re sleeping on a bed of roses,
Sophia. He may act like he cares, but no matter
how hard he tries, he’ll always be a cheat’.
At that point, Steven was already on top of
Sophia and her T-shirt had already been
unbuttoned. Her chest had become exposed.
She pushed him away and jumped out of the
bed, turning her back against him.
“Sophia, what’s wrong?” Steven asked as he also
left the bed and walked up to her.
“Steven, stop.” she said with less enthusiasm.
Her words were just too weak. She was panting.
She starred at Steven who was now standing in
front of her with his T-shirt apart. He was looking
so cute – so sexy.
As she thought of the discouraging words, she
also remembered his words to her sometime
ago:
‘ # I know I’ve lived a bad life, but please, trust
me when I say I love you. I really do, Sophia’.
Steven held her by the waist and went for her
lips again. And this time around, she couldn’t
resist him.
It was 6 p.m.
Steven opened his eyes and found Sophia still
sleeping beside him, covered under his
bedsheets.
Awww! It had been a wonderful time.
He looked at her and smiled. She was really a
darling.
He looked at the wall clock and on discovering
the time was 6 p.m, he sprang out of bed.
“Sophia! Sophia! He jerked her out of sleep..
Sophia awakened with a yawn and was surprised
at Steven who was now putting on his trousers.
“please, dress up. You need to go home”, Steven
said in a hurry.
Sophia was stunned.
“b… but why?”
“please, Sophia. There’s no time. Just do as I
say”.
Sophia was confused. That felt strange. Why was
Steven in a hurry to get her home? Why did he
want her to leave all of a sudden?
She wore on her clothes and Steven led her into
his car. He was so much in a hurry.
Immediately he settled on the driver’s seat, he
scorched off on a high speed.
He parked in front of Sophia’s gate and awaited
her to get off the car. Sophia was worried. Why
was Steven suddenly acting strange?
“Sophia,, I’m so sorry I had to hasten things up.
Don’t worry, I’ll call you later”, he said and gave
her a peck.
Sophia starred at him in silence for a while. She
was out of words.
“bye”, she finally mumbled and left the car.
Steven drove back into his compound and found
his dad’s car parked outside.
That was a lucky escape, he thought.
He didn’t want to imagine what would have
happened if his dad had returned and had found
him on bed with Sophia. That would have been a
bombshell; a disaster!
He knew his dad was good at keeping his
threats. And he couldn’t explain it to Sophia
because it would have sounded childish.
He walked into the house and found his parents
in the sitting room. But, there was something
uncanny.
He also found the plates of cake and the glasses
of juice he had used with Sophia and they were
placed right in front of his dad.
Damn! He had forgotten to clear them up before
leaving.
“mom, dad, good…”
“hold your greetings, Steven”, Mr Damola
snapped in.
“where’re you coming from?” he asked.
“I… I went to check on something down the
street”.
“and what were these doing in your room?” he
asked, pointing to the plates and drinks.
Steven was silent.
“I’m asking a question!”
“I had a visitor”.
“and what visitor is that? Don’t even tell me it
was a male because I can’t imagine you having
cakes and drinks with your fellow guy in your
bedroom with your bed being so rumbled!”
Steven couldn’t say anything. He knew he had
been bursted.

“So, after all my warnings and instructions, you
still had to disrespect me, right? You shameless
son! You’ve decided to bring shame and disgrace
upon this family, right? Steven!
Just thank your God. Just thank your God I
didn’t come in time to meet both of you. Else, I
would have dealt with that stupid LovePeddler of
yours!”
“she’s not an LovePeddler, dad. So, mind the way you
refer to her.” Steven said in anger and his father
slapped him.
“ah! Oko mi! What’s the meaning of this?” Mrs
Damola shrieked.
“if you really don’t need me as a son, then why
don’t you just send me away?” Steven said
raucously and walked into his room.
His mother followed him behind.
“Steven!” she called as he threw himself on the
bed in anger.
“Steven, please don’t mind your dad. You know
how he is at times.” she tried consoling him as
she sat on the bed with him.
Steven threw his face away and was fuming with
anger.
“but, why did you go ahead to bring a lady into
the house after he warned you not to?”
“please, mom. I’ll want to be alone”.
“hm”, Mrs Damola sighed and kissed him on the
cheeks.
“have some rest. I’ll check up on you later” she
said and left.
Steven felt humiliated. Being slapped by his
father was really embarrassing.
Why was his dad even going against his
relationship with Sophia? What business did he
have with his love life?
He didn’t want to think about it because it
increased his anger.
He laid on the bed and slept off.
Sophia sat on her bed and found it difficult
falling asleep.
She thought of Steven.
Why was he acting strange? He was yet to call
her as he had promised.
Was everything okay?
Perhaps, he was busy and they would probably
meet in school the next day. She didn’t want to
Harbour any negative thoughts or feelings.
But, as she finally laid to sleep, she recalled
Lilly’s words again:
‘ # once he’s gotten into that special angle of
yours, right between your legs, you’ll mean
nothing to him’.

POISONED LOVE- Episode 13-15

(E-book/Story)

Episode 13

Sophia was exiting one of her lecture halls when
she ran into Lily.
Lily, as usual, was with her group of friends and
they stood in front of Sophia.
“hello, lovely. Nice morning”, Lily greeted with a
smile and a wave.
“hi”, was all Sophia could say at the moment as
she pondered over the strange ladies.
While Lily did the talking, her three friends just
kept themselves busy by chewing some bubble
gums.
“I guess we haven’t met before. And I also heard
you were the new tenant of Steven’s heart.
Anyway, I’m Michelle and it’s a pleasure meeting
you. Seriously, I was happy when I heard you
were Steven’s girlfriend. I can’t imagine the joy
you feel right now – the joy of being Steven’s
first lady for the meantime. You know, I’ve also
been there and I know exactly how it feels”.
“please,” Sophia said, sounding pissed off. “I
need to be on my way. I don’t really have time
for this”.
“hey, chill, okay? I don’t plan on Standing here all
day either. You know, I’m sure you must feel
very lucky, but like I said before, you’re just like
a tenant in Steven’s heart. Steven doesn’t fall in
love. The only thing he loves is just the body of
ladies.
“think about this; just this year, I was his
girlfriend. And this same year, he dumped me
and went for Michelle. And now, he’s dumped
Michelle and has chosen you. So, practically, in
less than a year, he has hooked up three
girlfriend! And here you are, feeling special”.
Sophia couldn’t take anymore of Michelle’s
words. She decided to turn around and change
direction since July wouldn’t let her go ahead.
“I’m just trying to give you a piece of advice,
Sophia.” Lily said to her back and Sophia paused
to listen to her, although she didn’t turn around.
“Steven is a playboy and that’s what he’ll always
be. He acts like he cares, but he doesn’t. He
makes use of even the slightest opportunity and
once he’s gotten into that special angle of yours,
right between your legs, you’ll mean nothing to
him”.
At that point, Treasure arrived. She had sighted
them from a distance and guessed Lily was
inconveniencing Sophia.
“Lily, what’s going on? “she asked huskily as she
stood beside Sophia.
” nothing serious; just having a friendly chat. By
the way, I think you need to impact more wisdom
into this friend of yours. What’re friends for?” Lily
replied, and sauntered away.
“Sophia, are you alright?” Treasure asked, worried
over the depression on Sophia’s face.
“I’m fine”, Sophia hushed as she walked over to
a staircase and sat on it with Treasure.
“that Lily is really something else. She was
talking about Steven, wasn’t she? She’s just
lucky she didn’t lay a finger on you”, Treasure
said with a repugnant look.
Sophia didn’t say anything immediately, probably
cogitating over Lily’s words.
They seemed to have hurt her.
“Sophia, don’t tell me that crazy bitch got into
you. You don’t have to give a thought to
anything she said”.
Sophia starred at Treasure and took her eyes
away.
But, what if Lily was right?
“Treasure,” she called softly. “do you think I’m
doing something wrong? By giving my heart to
Steven?”
Treasure sighed and bleaked.
“Sophia,” she said. “I really don’t know what to
say. The truth is, I’m very scared for you.
Although, I know what Steven did for you at the
party was extraordinary, but he’s always been a
playboy and that’s why I can’t tell if he’s
changed or not. Nobody knows what he’s got up
his sleeves.”
“but… He told me I was his first crush and he
needed me to guide him through. Do you think
it’s possible he might be lying?”
“hmm” Treasure sighed again. “maybe you should
give him a chance. But one thing I must warn
you, you need to be very careful”.
And Sophia let out a faint smile.
*
Steven and Sophia sat next to each other by the
beach, her head relaxed on his shoulders.
They enjoyed the activities going on at the
beach – the children playing, the dances going on
and so many other activities.
Steven had suggested they went there.
Sophia had tried as hard as possible to keep
enjoying the moment, but it seemed difficult for
her. The words of Lily kept driving in and she
couldn’t get it off her mind.
Could Steven ever betray her? Is she special to
him? Does she mean anything to him?
Confusing questions kept pouring on Sophia but
unfortunately, she couldn’t give any answer to
them.
“Sophia, are you alright?” Steven broke into her
thoughts. He was noticing how absent minded
she was.
“I’m fine “she sighed and replied.
Steven smiled and adjusted her head more
properly on his shoulder.
” Steven,” she called after a while. “do you really
love me?”
“of course, I do Sophia. Why do you even ask?”
he replied.
Sophia didn’t say any other thing as she took her
eyes back to the beach. There was a doubly pale
look on her face and Steven could notice it.
“Sophia, we really can’t go on like this. How do
you expect me to feel when you’re having
second thoughts about me? It surprises me to
know you’re questioning my love for you. Listen,
Sophia, I know I’ve lived a bad life, but please,
trust me when I say I love you. I really do,
Sophia”, Steven said with a depressed voice.
Sophia finally starred at him and smiled.
“I love you too, Steven” she said with a kiss.

Episode 14

“Michelle, you really need to get well soon”,
Patricia said as she had prepared a cup of
coffee for her.
The evening was cold and Patricia felt Michelle
needed a cup of milky coffee.
Michelle had been discharged from the hospital
and was at that time, sitting at the balcony of
her apartment. But, ever since she returned, she
had remained weak and expressionless and was
no different from a patient at the hospital.
She had remained silent, unable to eat. Patricia
was just passing some time with her, hoping to
make her lively.
“you need to get strong to get back to school”
Patricia continued. “you’ve been out for two
weeks now and you’ve really missed out on so
many stuff”.
Michelle remained silent as she kept starring into
space.
“Michelle,” Patricia called and sat close to her. “I
know it’s really painful. I mean, I can’t even
imagine how you feel. But as difficult as it may
be, you really need to forget about Steven the
same way he forgot about you. You need to
move on because Steven’s gone”.
“no, Patricia, he’s not!” Michelle said tearfully.
“he’s not!”
“Michelle, stop trying to punish yourself. Steven’s
a cheat and that’s what he’s always going to be.
You need to forget about him and have It in mind
that he’s gone”.
“stop saying that! He’s not! Steven’s not gone.
He’ll come back to me, one way or the other.
He’ll come back to me. He can’t just leave me”
Michelle said with tears rolling down her cheeks.
*
Mr Damola, Steven’s father, waited patiently in
the sitting room for Steven to arrive.
He was an able bodied yoruba man and was also
good looking. He always prefer dressing in large
yoruba attires.
His wife, Mrs Damola was standing next to
where he was seated, looking troubled.
Then shortly, the door opened and Steven walked
in. He felt a bit surprised when he saw his
parents sitting and standing that way in the
sitting room.
“mom, dad, good evening”, he greeted with his
eyes going round the room.
“welcome, omo okonin mi “, Mrs Damola replied
while her husband kept starring.
” Steven, do you want to tell me you’ve been in
school all these while? The day’s already dark
and you’re just coming home”, Mr Damola spoke
belligerenly.
“I… Had to spend some extra time with my
friends”, Steven replied, feeling surprised.
That was the first time in a long time his father
was questioning his whereabouts.
“by the way, that’s not really why I’m here. I’ve
been waiting for you to return because we have
a very pressing discussion. What happened
between you and Michelle?”
“come on, dad. I thought we’ve talked about this
already?”
“no, Steven, we haven’t and it’s going to be
now!”
“oko mi… “, Mrs Damola tried speaking.
“no, don’t oko mi me. Are you the only guy in the
world? Tell me Steven, are you the only guy in
the world? How much shame do you plan on
bringing into this family? Is it until you’ve finally
impregnated a lady, or perhaps, killed a lady out
of heartbreak that you’ll decide to have peace?
Why on earth must you go around sleeping with
ladies? Is that the way your mother trained you?”
“but, dad I… ”
“shut up, Steven! Shut up. I’ve heard and
endured enough of your nonsense. Michelle’s
father was a close business associate of mine,
but after learning what you did to his daughter,
making her end up in the hospital, he closed up
all his business contracts with me. Do you know
how much I’ve lost because of your stupidity?”
“Oko mi, please take it easy on him nah,” Mrs
Damola grumbled.
“listen to me, Steven” Mr Damola said and stood
up. “from now on, you’re not permitted to bring
any lady into this house. You can take them else
where and do all the rubbish you want to do with
them, but not in my house. The next time I see a
lady in my house, Olorun should just be around to
help you because you wouldn’t believe what I
would do to both of you”.
“I’m in love, dad “, Steven cut in.” I’m sorry I
might’ve wronged you, but I’ve finally fallen in
love. So, there’s no need for your threats”.
Mr Damola laughed and then turned angry again.
“you’re in love? Well, it doesn’t matter to me as
long as you don’t bring any of them into my
house. I’ve warned you, Steven; the day I’ll get
you with any lady 250 meters around my house,
I’ll skin you both alive”.
Steven had grown with furiage but he tried not to
loosen his temper.
“excuse me “, he said with a hard voice and
bounced out of the house.
” you’re just lucky you’re my only son”, Mr
Damola said to his back as he whacked the door.
“else, you would have known what it meant to be
an offspring of Damola”.
*
Sophia was in her bedroom, doing some reading
when a call came into her phone.
It was Steven.
She picked the call with ecstasy.
“hello?”
“Sophia, could you step out for sometime? I’m
right at your gate”.
Sophia flinched at the sadness in his voice.
“okay, I’ll be there”.
She hurried out of her bedroom and headed for
the gate. Her mother was already at home but
was probably busy in her room.
She wandered why Steven had come over to her
place that late at night. It was almost 8 p.m.
She opened the gate and met Steven standing
beside it.
They ran into each other’s arms.
“Steven, are you alright? You sounded different
on the phone “, Sophia asked, still wrapped in an
embrace.
” I just wanted to spend some time with you,
Sophia. Hope you don’t mind?”
“of course I don’t”.

Steven suggested they took a stroll and they did.
“sorry, I had to bother you”, he said as they
walked along. “I was scolded by my dad and he
just ended up ruining my evening”.
“Oh, what happened?”
“he’s angry over Michelle’s incidence. He was
really furious about it and it also made me
angry”.
“hm. So, baby Steven is sad because he was
scolded by his dad? That sounds interesting”,
Sophia jerked and they both laughed.
After walking for sometime, they came by a
woman selling some sauced meat and they
bought some for themselves.
They settled down by a pavement and munched
on it, chatting and nattering. Steven had
completely forgotten how angry he had been a
few minutes back.
“by the way, Steven,” Sophia said, still biting at
her sauced meat. “are you the only child of your
parents?”
“of course, I’m not. I’m just the only son and the
last. My three sisters base abroad. Two among
them are already married”.
“hm, so what’re you still doing here in Nigeria?”
“well, maybe it’s because my heart has been
waiting for the right companion to go with”.
Sophia looked at him and laughed.
She leaned her head on his shoulder and they
both starred into space.
“the weather is cold, isn’t it?” Steven asked after
a while.
“yeah. I think it’s going to rain soon”.
“uh-uh. Not soon; but right now”, Steven said as
he noticed a water drop on his head.
The water came in little drops and finally, it
started pouring in large quantities.
“Oh, my! I can’t believe I’m going to get wet!”
Sophia shrieked.
They both left the pavement and stood under a
shade.
The rain had become heavier.
“don’t tell me I’ll be standing here till the rain
stops?” Sophia groused.
“well, hope you’re not expecting me to turn into
an umbrella?”
“maybe you should turn into a raincoat”, Sophia
replied and pushed him into the rain.
She laughed as she saw him getting wet and
managed his way back into the shade.
“how dare you?” Steven said and also drew her
into the rain.
She struggled to get out of it, but he pushed her
father away from the shade, making both of
them fully exposed to the rain.
“you really have some guts, Steven. Just take a
look at me; I’m wet!” Sophia said in a high voice
as a result of the sound of the rain.
“well, that serves you right. At least, now we’re
even”.
Sophia punched him by the side of his stomach
and tried running away,, but he held her back.
She took some water from the floor and
sprinkled it on his face and tried running away
again, but Steven ran after her.
Her home was nearby and he was only able to
catch up with her at the entrance of her gate.
“you can’t run away from me, Lady Sophia”, he
said with his hands wrapped around her waist.
The rain has reduced to a drizzling pour.
“Oh, really?” Sophia said and laughed while
panting.
They laughed for sometime until they were finally
able to calm themselves down.
They stood together in a face to face position,
their foreheads touching each other’s.
“why do all our dates have to end up in a mess?”
Sophia asked.
“excuse me? This isn’t a date”.
“yeah, whatever”.
“well, the best part is, our dates always have to
end up in smiles”, Steven replied and kissed her.
She kissed him back, her hands over his
shoulder.
They continued kissing passionately for
sometime.
“goodnight. I love you, Sophia”.
“I love you too, handsome”, Sophia replied and
kissed him again.
And after that, they departed.

Episode 15

Michelle alighted her car and ran into Patricia
who had been waiting for her at the entrance of
the school.
She had to resume school only because her
parents had insisted she did so. She really
wished she didn’t have to go back there.
How on earth would she feel seeing Steven and
Sophia together?
“Michelle, I’m really glad you could make it.
Welcome back”, Patricia said to Michelle who
seemed sick and weak.
“remember, Michelle, you’re here to learn and
that’s it. You don’t have to give a damn to any
of those fools, okay?”
At that point, they were interrupted by the
presence of Lily and her three friends who stood
in front of them.
“Michelle!” Lily called happily. “I can’t believe
you’re here. Are you sure your heart is healthy
enough?”
“don’t you ever get tired of talking?” Patricia
snapped. “why don’t you just admit you’re just
angry because Steven left Michelle for someone
else and not for you?”
“I think it’s high time you closed that pothole of
yours”, Gwen retaliated. “I think that’s what she’s
good at – walking around like a bodyguard to a
loser”, Stacy said.
“you should be thinking of getting a permanent
man in your life, instead of fighting over your
friend’s ex”, Chioma added.
“hey, hey, cool down ladies”, Lily said to her
friends. “I alone can single – handedly handle this
piece of trash. But too bad, I don’t feel like
getting my hands dirty at this moment. And as
for you, Michelle, this is just the beginning of
your sorrows”.
Michelle didn’t realize when a tear dropped to
her cheek. She couldn’t even think of talking
back at Lily.
She just ran away and locked herself up in the
restroom.
She leaned on the closed door and wept.
“you’ll pay for this, Sophi”, she said bitterly and
continued weeping.
*
Sophia was reading outside the eatery, trying to
keep herself busy until Treasure was done with
her lectures.
She had a doughnut in her hands and ate at it
from time to time.
Shortly, Oliver walked up to her and joined her.
She felt surprised at his presence. It’s been very
long he approached her. She couldn’t understand
why he had been distancing himself for
sometime.
“hi”, she greeted and watched him sit next to
her.
“wats up?”
“I’m fine. Long time. Where’ve you been all these
while?”
Oliver smiled and starred away. Sophia could
notice he was still acting strangely quiet.
“how’ve you been? How’s Steven?”
“Steven?” Sophia was surprised. She wandered
why he was asking her of Steven.
“are you less busy? Do you mind if we had lunch
together?” he asked.
“O… Kay. I don’t mind”, Sophia replied and stood
up with him to go. But, at that point, Steven
came into their midst.
“Sophia,” he called and looked at Oliver. “hey,
dude. Wats up?”
“I’m cool”, Oliver replied simply.
“uhm… Sophia, could you come with me for a
second? There’s something I need to show you ”
Steven said as he held her arms and turned
around to leave with her.
Oliver was amazed and at same time, became
angry.
” I wasn’t exactly trying to snatch her away,
Steven”, he barked.
“what’re you talking about?” Steven asked, bemused.
“I really wonder what makes you feel you’re the
only one that has access to her. If really I
wanted to have her, I would do it in the right
way. I wouldn’t inconvenience others just to get
what I want”.
“Oliver, what’s gotten into you? I think I’ve
endured enough of your insults”.
“Oh, really? But, I wander, don’t you ever get
tired of jumping from one lady to the next? Did
your mother flirt around when she was about
giving birth to you?”
That was the height of it. Steven bounced on
him and punched him on the face. But, Oliver
also retaliated and they got involved in a fist
fight.
It was with the aid of Sophia getting into their
midst that the fight was able to halt.
“please, that’s enough,” she pleaded to both of
them, holding Steven.
She was surprised at Oliver’s attitude. “this is
just the worst you can do, Oliver. No matter what
you do, she’ll never be yours”, Steven barked at
him.
“don’t think you’re sleeping on a bed of roses,
Sophia. He may act like he cares, but no matter
how hard he tries, he’ll always be a cheat”, Oliver
said angrily and left.
Sophia and Steven sat next to each other. She
was trying to clean up the bruise close to his
mouth that was caused by his recent fight with
Oliver.
“you really shouldn’t have started up a fight with
him”, Sophia groused, while attending to his
bruises.
“I’m sorry if I got you angry, but you don’t have
to worry about me. I’m fine”, Steven replied.
“Sophia, regarding what Oliver said; I hope you
don’t take it seriously? I can never… ”
“Steven, please” she interrupted. “you don’t have
to worry about that. I’ve decided not to listen to
anything anyone says anymore. No matter what
they say, it’s never going to change how I feel
about you”.
Steven smiled beatifically.
“I love you, Sophia”, he said.
“I love you too”.
Their lips got interlocked into each others as
they started kissing passionately.
Although, there were students passing by,
stealing glances at them, but they didn’t seem to
care…

According to a CNN report, Google said it found another API bug last month, and the bug allowed third-party applications to view G+ users profile information, including those marked as private. Data exposed in this bug error includes email address, age, occupation, user's name and some other information entered on Google+. This bug affected 52.5 million Google+ users.

Google fixed the bug a week after it was discovered, though the company has said that it didn't find any evidence that suggests third-party apps took advantage of the bug.

"With the discovery of this new bug, we have decided to expedite the shut-down of all Google+ APIs; this will occur within the next 90 days," Google said in a blog post. "In addition, we have also decided to accelerate the sun setting of consumer Google+ from August 2019 to April 2019."

Google will shutdown all APIs for Google+ in the next 90 days, while Google+ services for consumers will be killed in April 2019.

POISONED LOVE- Episode 10-12

Episode 10

Sophia sat next to Treasure on a bench, both
pretending to be reading.
Although they both held opened books in their
hands with their eyes buried into it, but their
attention was definitely not there.
Sophia had been acting very strange and quiet
and Treasure couldn’t ascertain why.
She had been expecting Sophia to tell her all
about her date with Steven, but Sophia hadn’t
said a word about it. Instead, she acted silent
towards everything.
Sophia, on the other hand, couldn’t even notice
Treasure’s curiosity. All she could think about
was Steven.
She could recall the begrudge in his voice when
he had asked her if she still wanted him to stay
away.
She really liked him, but the only thing limiting
her approval was the fact that he was a playboy.
But, was it possible for Steven to play on her as
well? Was it?
What if she gave him a chance and he broke her
heart? What then would happen?
“Sophia!” Treasure broke into her thoughts,
almost raucously. “what exactly happened last
night?”
It took Sophia sometime to come back to reality
and comprehend Treasure’s question.
“I told you, Treasure. Nothing happened”, she
replied.
“and don’t tell me nothing. That’s impossible.
What happened between you two?”
Sophia sighed and closed her book.
“we just had dinner; he took me home and after
that, he asked me what my opinion was and I
told him it was same. I still wanted him to stay
away”.
Treasure starred at her with scrutiny and didn’t
feel satisfied.
“So, are you sure he won’t bother you again?”
she asked.
“I think so.
“by the way, Oliver invited me for his birthday
party”.

“Oliver? That wreckless I’ve been hearing about?
We’re not going”
“sorry, but I already assured him I’d be there”.
“and why would you? Do you know what that
party is going to look like? All the jerks would be
there.”
“I know, but I have to go. He’s already expecting
me”.
“Gosh! Sophia, you’re always making silly
decisions and informing me at the wrong time.
Well, can’t let you walk into a lion’s den alone.
I’ll be going with you”.
*
Steven was sitting around a corner in the school
premises,, keeping himself busy with a drink – or
so he made it seem.
No matter he tried doing, he couldn’t get Sophia
off his mind and that was what seemed to
puzzle him the more.
Why couldn’t he forget about her? He was a
playboy and there were thousands of ladies out
there just dying for his attention. If Sophia didn’t
want him, it shouldn’t be a problem for him.
Why was she special to him? Could it mean he
had fallen in love with her?
No matter how hard he tried, he felt incomplete
without her.
“Steven!” Michelle broke into his dull thoughts as
she walked up to him and took a seat. “I’ve been
looking allover for you. I can’t believe you’re even
in school today”.
Steven didn’t say anything but only continued
sipping from his drink.
“by the way,, we have something to talk about.
What’s going on between you and Sophia?” she
asked but Steven gave no reply still.
“Steven, I’m talking to you!”
“and haven’t we talked about this already?”
Steven said raucously. “I told you there’s nothing
going on between both of us. You’re so bent on
ruining my day” he concluded and walked away.
Michelle watched him in astonishment. She had
never expected Steven to speak to her in such
manner.
Sophia sat in front of the mirror, looking all
dressed up while her mother helped her in
brushing her hair.
“Sophia, I really don’t feel at ease with you going
over to this party. Remember last night; what if
something like that repeats itself?” Mrs Kate
asked, looking worried.
“mom,, I’ve told you not to worry about me. I’ll
be fine, I promise”, Sophia replied, starring at her
morose image.
Mrs Kate continued brushing her hair and when
she was done, she added some cream to it.
“mom,” Sophia called when her mother was
finally through with her hair. “can I ask you a
question?”
“of course, sweetie. What is it?” she asked as
she drew a chair closer to Sophia.
Sophia heaved a sigh before speaking up.
“do you think it’s possible for someone to
change? Like, someone who’s a player. Do you
think it’s possible for him to settle down with just
a single lady?”
“well, of course it’s possible. Anyone can
change, as long as they have a reason to”.
“but… How can you be sure if he loves you and
he’s not just trying to cheat on you like he does
to the others?”
“well, like you said, he’s a player and playboys
tend to treat all their ladies equally; no special
treatment. So, if he really loves you, then he’d do
something extra ordinary for you; something that
would create a clear difference between you and
the other ladies.”
Sophia meditated on her mother’s words for
sometime.
“okay. Thank you, mom” she said with a dutiful
smile.
“but why, Sophia? Are you experiencing such
challenge?”
“no, mom. I’m only trying to help out a friend”.
She applied the finishing touches to her makeup
and set out for the party.

Episode 11

The party, which was a magnificent beanfeast,
was pucing with life as music and colorful lights
filled the whole place.
It was taking place in an event center and
Sophia couldn’t imagine how much money was
spent in it.
As she walked into the enormous party floor, she
was able to find Treasure because Treasure had
told her she would be waiting for her at the
entrance.
“hi, girlfriend!” Treasure greeted happily as she
gave her a hug. “wow! You’re looking good”.
“thank you,” replied Sophia with a smile.
Treasure held two glasses of drinks in her hands
and she handed one over to Sophia.
“here, I saved a glass of wine for you. Although,
there are many more to be taken if you want to”.
They walked over to a table and sat on the
chairs surrounding it.
The whole place seemed crowdy, but at the
same time, lively and enjoyable.
Treasure noticed Sophia was roaming her eyes
around, as if searching for something or
someone.
“are you looking for someone?” she asked and
Sophia brought her eyes back to her.
“Oh, no. Not really”.
“hm.”
They remained silent for a while, enjoying the
music and the dances going on.
“Steven would be playing the keyboard tonight”,
Treasure spoke up.
“Steven?” Sophia asked, but for some reason,
she felt Happy hearing his name.
“yes. He’s a guru when it comes to the
keyboard. So, tonight, he’d be playing it on behalf
of his friend’s party. And when he’s done, he’d
be given a flower to give it to any girl of his
choice, as a sign of honoring her”.
“Oh,” was all Sophia could say.
She didn’t want to think of how she would feel
when he honors one of his cheap sloths.
“wow! Michelle, you’re looking exquisite.
Someone might mistake you for the celebrant”,
Patricia said to Michelle as they ran into each
other.
“Oh, dear, thanks”, Michelle replied, beaming with
smiles. “but, you know, this is almost like my
day. So, I need to look good”.
“Oh, really? Care to tell me how?”
“you know, Steven would be given an opportunity
to honor a lady of his choice. So, do you know
what it would be like to be chosen among all the
ladies in this vicinity? It will be more like I’m the
luckiest girl in the whole world!”
“luckiest girl?”
“of course, Patricia. Come on, 100% of the ladies
here, including you, are admiring Steven and I
know everyone wants a bit of him. So, do you
know what it would feel like to be chosen by him
in public?”
“but, how’re you so sure you’re the one he’s
going to choose?”
“and who else will it be? I’m Steven’s first lady
and I’m the only one he’s going to choose”.
“but…”
“please, Patricia, stop trying to ruin my night. By
the way, where’s Steven? I need to stay close to
my boyfriend”, Michelle replied and walked away
with a smile.
Cheers and applauds were heard as Steven
mounted the stage, headed for the keyboard.
Some ladies – who had also come with their
dates – could be seen jumping and cheering for
him. Some guys could be seen clapping and
jubilating.
Steven positioned himself to the keyboard and
did an interlude before speaking into the mike.
“I’m dedicating this to a beautiful moment.
Though, I was in pains, but I had felt so relived
because I was spending it close to someone
special. You can enjoy the melody of the song,
but I’m the only one who understands the lyrics”,
he said, starring at Sophia who was on the
second row.
He striked the keys and an unexplained melody
filled the air. And as he continued moving his
hands around the keyboard, his eyes were buried
in Sophia’s who was also starring at him.
He played it so perfectly that Sophia felt the
wind whispering a melody to her.
The whole place had become as calm as library
and only the soft sound of the keyboard could be
heard.
When he was done with his performance, Oliver
came up and embraced him as the crowd
continue cheering and clapping.
A nice bunch of flowers were brought up and
given to Steven who was asked to present it to
any lady of his choice.
Steven stood still for sometime feeling some of
the guests with suspense. Some of the ladies
there started making gestures at him, probably to
attract him to them.
He left the stage and started walking towards a
direction. It wasn’t Michelle’s direction; it was
somebody else’s.
It was Sophia’s!
He walked up to her and proffered the flowers
out to her.
“have it, Sophia,” he said. “I want them to be
yours.”
Sophia got on her feet in surprise as gasps and
mumbling could be heard among the crowd.
Many people had definitely expected him to give
the flowers to Michelle.
Sophia tried saying a word but couldn’t as she
kept starring at him in surprise. She had least
expected it from him.
“come on, Sophia. Have it “Steven said and fixed
the flowers into her hands.
” No! “Michelle screamed from where she was as
she hurried to meet Steven and Sophia.

“you treacherous bastard! How dare you?” she
said at the top of her voice and snatched the
flowers from Sophia, squeezed them and threw
them back at her which was followed by an
angry slap on Sophia’s face.
“how dare you! You shameless gold digger!
Haven’t I warned you to stay away from my
boyfriend?”
“Michelle, what’s wrong with you?” Steven asked,
trying to hold her back from hitting Sophia again.
“don’t you think I should be the one asking?
What’s wrong with you, Steven? How could you
do something this foolish? I should be the one
you’re not honoring, not her!”
“and what do you care whom I honor? I choose
to honor Sophia because she deserves it. She’s
the one my heart desires to honor”.
“how can you say that? What has this evil witch
given to you? “Michelle rasped and tried hitting
Sophia but instead, Steven pushed her to the
floor.
“stay away, Michelle. If you try to hurt her again,
I swear you’ll get it really rough from me”,
Steven said as he stood in front of Sophia.
The whole party had become disorganized as
clamoring and murmuring could be heard from
every corner.
Some of the guests even brought out their
phones and started taking some pictures and
videos.
Sophia couldn’t take it anymore as she was
almost in tears.
She ran out of the party and Steven followed her
behind.
She ran as far away and finally stopped by a
pool within the vicinity, whimper.
Immediately, she heard some footsteps from
behind and she knew it was Steven.
“Sophia! “Steven called as he stood behind her,
not knowing what else to say.
“what did you do that for, Steven? What was that
for?” Sophia asked with a tearful voice as she
turned around to look at him.
“I… I had to protect you “Steven replied and
moved closer to her. He tried holding her, but
she threw his hands away.
“stay at from me, Steven. I don’t want you
around”.
“what else do you want me to do to prove that I
love you?” Steven asked almost raucously. “what
else? Do you want me to go crawling around on
the streets? Tell me, and I’ll do it. Just tell me!”
Sophia turned around and sighed pathetically.
“but, you’re in love with Michelle “, she said
ruefully.
“no, Sophia, I’m not. Not until now, I never knew
I had no feelings for Michelle”.
He drew closer to her and held her from behind.
“you once asked me a question, Sophia. You
asked me what it took to have an honest love
life. I’ve been living a rough life, Sophia, and I
really want to change. I want to become a better
man and I was hoping you’d help me achieve
that.
I know this might sound crazy but, I don’t think
I’ve ever been in love before, like, a sincere love.
You’re my first crush, Sophia; My first love.
Won’t guide me through?”
Sophia was lost of words. She didn’t know what
to say or think. She didn’t even realize when
Steven turned her around and kissed her.
She was starring blankly at him, trying to
phantom if it were all a dream.
Could that be real? Was Steven really confessing
his love to her? But what if he was only trying to
play on her? Was that possible?
But, he had done something extraordinary for
her; just like her mother had said. Could he really
be in love with her?
He kissed her again and this time around, she
kissed him back.

POISONED LOVE- Episode 7-9

(E-book/Story)

Episode 7

Sophia had ran out of the garden and settled by
the roadside. Tears dripped down her cheeks for
a moment, but she quickly wiped them off.
Finally, she was done with Steven. He was now
out of her life forever. But she couldn’t tell why
she was beginning to feel regrets.
Well, why should she? Avoiding him was the best
thing to do and there should be no room for
regrets.
Steven wasn’t the right guy for her, she thought.
She started pacing along the road, hoping a cab
would drive by soon.
Just then, she started hearing gunshot from
seemingly everywhere and the whole place
turned crowdy and noisy with people running
hectar sectar.
A stone flew above her head and she said
panicked.
What was happening? Was it a riot?
She thought of running away but became
paranoid as to where to run to. She was
becoming transfixed with fear.
The whole corners seemed dangerous to run to.
Men with sticks and dangerous weapons could
be seen hitting each other. The gunshots were
becoming nearly constant.
Sophia was beginning to hyperventilate.
She heard her name from behind and saw Steven
running towards her.
God!
She felt so relieved; like, so relieved.
“Sophia, are… are you alright?” Steven asked at
the top of his voice, trying to get through the
noise of the crowd.
“y… Yes, I am”.
He took her hands and tried running away with
her, but was disrupted by the appearance of a
man with a weapon – a knife.
Steven stood in front of Sophia and tried getting
rid of the man.
He attacked them with the knife and Steven
managed to give him a kick.
They got involved in a fist fight and Steven
sustained a scratch on his arm from the knife.
He was later able to defeat the man and without
hesitation, he ran away with Sophia.
They ran back to the garden and hid behind a
safe corner – at least it was safe for the
meantime.
He moaned and sat on the floor, starring at his
injured arm.
The knife had cut across it and it was now
bleeding.
Sophia was appalled as she crouched beside him
and held his arm.
“I’m… I’m so sorry. Does it hurt?” she asked
fearfully and noticed her question was inane.
Why wouldn’t it hurt?
She brought out her handkerchief and tried
cleaning up the blood.
“Sophia, I’m fine. You don’t have to worry about
me” Steven said, noticing how perplexed she
was, but Sophia gave no reply.
The handkie had become bloodstained, but the
bleeding still continued.
She tore round the tip of her gown and tried
using it on the arm.
“Sophia, I said I’m fine…”
“no, you’re not!” Sophia cut in and forced her
hand away from Steven’s who was trying to
prevent her from using the cloth.
There was so much worry in her eyes;
accompanied with an uncanny concern.
A light smile ran across his cheeks, but was
shortly washed away by a string of pain from his
injury.
“I never knew you could be this caring” he said in
a flaccid voice.
Sophia starred at him and focused on what she
was doing.
She succeeded in controlling the bleeding and
after that, she loosened her hair scalf from her
hair and tied it around the arm.
At that point, she heaved a sigh of relief, like
something important had been done.
“thanks,” mumbled Steven and Sophia replied
with a nod and sat next to him on the floor.
They both remained silent for a while, gazing at
the dark, listening to the distant gunshots and
wailings and hoped it would come to an end
soon enough.

“don’t worry, we’ll be fine” Steven said and
placed his hand on her thighs, but quickly
withdrew it as he grunted in pain of stretching
the arm.
“I think you’re the one who needs more of that
encouragement” Sophia chuckled and replied.
“does it still hurt?” she asked after a short pause.
“well, what do you think? It wasn’t treated by a
qualified nurse or anything”.
“Oh, seriously?” Sophia replied and they both
laughed.
“but, thanks anyway. It made me feel better” he
added.
They jumped into a tranquil mood again, both
feeling nervous.
They felt like talking to each other but somehow,
they both felt shy and reluctant.
Soon, the noises reduced and seemed to have
died off.
Sophia and Steven got on their feet and peeped
outside. The whole place seemed calm and
quiet.
They headed for his car which was parked
outside the garden, but to their out most surprise,
the wind screen had been broken and damaged.
It was definitely a result of the riot.
Steven tried starting up the car, but couldn’t.
They were stuck.

Episode 8

They couldn’t reach anyone on phone either
because there was no network coverage at that
time.
“what do we do?” Sophia asked, looking worried.
“your home isn’t far away from here. I can take
you home” Steven replied and tried closing the
car door and in the process, stressed his injured
arm again.
He grunted in pain and leaned on the car while
Sophia hurried to him.
“Steven, are you alright?” she asked with fright
and held the arm.
“Oh, God! I think you need to see a doctor”.
Steven tried absorbing the pain for a while.
“your home isn’t far away”, he replied. “I think
it’d be best if we walked”.
“what? B… But, you can’t walk in this condition”.
“Sophia, it’s my arm that’s injured, not my legs”
he said and left the car.
“but, Steven, you might…”

“Sophia, I’m fine. Let’s go.”
He gave a quick full look at her and his eyes
caught the sight of her thighs which had become
fully exposed. It was as a result of the group
part she had torn from her gown.
Her hair had become shagged, but still… She
looked more beautiful.
“okay, fine. Let’s go” she broke into his thoughts
and they started on their way.
They got to a point where a car had driven by on
a high speed and Sophia gripped Steven’s hand
in fear.
“don’t worry, Sophia. We’ll be fine” Steven
reassured her.
They continued walking in silence, probably
because they didn’t want to arouse attention.
They just hoped they would be able to arrive
home safely.
They arrived at the gate of Sophia apartment
and stopped in front of it.
“okay, go in. I’m sure your mom must be pretty
worried”, Steven said to her.
“but, what about…”
“don’t worry about me. Please, Sophia. I’ll be
fine” Steven interrupted her and released her
hand so she could go in.
Oh, that was when they even realized they had
been holding hands the whole time.
“okay, then. Goodnight”, she said, doubtfully.
“goodnight. Bye”, Steven replied as he winked at
her and left.
Sophia stood still, starring at his back until he
was finally lost in the darkness.
*
She sat on her bed, putting on her pajamas. She
was feeling warm as a result of the warm
shower she had just taken.
She held an empty cup of coffee in her hand and
soon, her mother walked in with some drugs.
“how’re you feeling now, honey?” Mrs Kate asked
as she sat next to Sophia on the bed.
“I told you, mom. I’m fine. You don’t have to
worry about me” Sophia replied.
“fine. Just make sure you take these drugs
before going to bed, okay? Are you sure you
don’t need any other thing? Maybe, some food,
drink… ”
” mom, I’m fine. Thanks “.
“okay, goodnight”, Mrs Kate replied with a
parting kiss and left.
Sophia leaned against the wall of her bed and
sighed.
She recalled the day’s events and thought about
the negative part that could have happened.
She reached for her phone and purse and
brought out a piece of paper from it; a piece of
paper that contained a phone number.
As much as she might not want to, she couldn’t
help but think about Steven. She was so worried
about him.
She inserted the number into her phone and
before she dialled it, she hesitated.
Was it necessary for her to call!? wouldn’t that
look too intruding? And again, calling him would
also mean for him to have her contact.
Well, she couldn’t help it. She had to make sure
he was alright.
Besides, he had sustained the injury trying to
protect her.
Steven was also in his bedroom, his mother
sitting beside him, watching him take his
medications.
His mother had called for a doctor and his arm
had been properly treated and covered.
“thanks, mom” Steven said as he handed the
glass of water back to her.
“Steven, are you sure you don’t recognize any of
them? One of those rascals has to pay for this”,
Mrs Damola rasped.
“come on, mom. I’m fine now. It’s just a minor
injury”.
“they’re so lucky you’re not really in a bad state.
Else, I would have turned down the earth just to
fish them out and make sure they pay dearly
with their lives together with the rest of their
families”.
Steven bursted into laughter. He couldn’t help
but laugh at his mother’s threats.
“mom, you’re really so funny. You don’t have to
turn down the earth, okay? I’m fine”.
Mrs Damola played run his hair and smiled.
“okay. Get some sleep. Well see tomorrow,
okay?”
“goodnight, mom” Steven said his mother gave
him a peck and left.
Immediately she left, his phone awakened with a
ring.
It was a strange number.
He picked the call and was curious to know
whom was calling.
“hello?” it was a female voice.
Of course, he could recognize that voice from
anywhere; even from a thousand miles away.
He leaned on the wall of his bed and smiled,
nervously.
“Sophia?” he called, sounding surprised.
“uhm, hi. How’re you doing?” she asked.
“I’m fine. I’m good”.
“I uhm… Just wanted to know if you got home
safely”.
“yes, I did. I’m home”.
There was a short pause.
“So, how’s your arm?” Sophia asked.
“it’s perfectly fine now. All it needed was just a
proper treatment. I’m okay”.
“okay. So,, will you be strong enough to be in
school tomorrow?”
“of course,, I will. I’m not a weakling”.
“really?” Sophia chuckled. “okay, get some sleep.
I just wanted to make sure you were home.
Goodnight”.
“Sophia,” he called and paused. “thank you”.
Sophia delayed before giving a reply.
“bye,” she muttered and the call ended.
She felt so much relived after making the call.
She drew a pillow to herself and placed her head
on it.
She wished her life could be that perfect; that
loving. The last few hours she had spent with
Steven had seemed to be the best hours of the
year.
Although, she had been scared, but she could
remember the comfort she had felt at that
moment. She remembered that time they held
hands together.
She wished that never had to come an end.
Treasure’s words were almost driving in again,
but she waved them aside. She didn’t want to
think about them at that moment.
And as she finally slept off, she didn’t realize
there was a half smile on her face.

Episode 9

It was a bright day.
Sophia got off her mom’s car and before she
emerged into the school building, she cogitated
for a while.
She wandered what the day would have in store
for her. She just hoped nothing bad would ruin it.
She got into the school building and halfway, she
ran into Steven who was putting on a
headphone.
“Oh, hi Sophia” Steven greeted as he unplugged
his headphone.
“hi”, Sophia replied and sighed. His arm looked
better.
“were you able to retrieve your car?” she asked,
still standing in a face to face position with him.
“yes, I did. I was able to get it to a mechanic”.
“okay. It’s a good thing everything’s been
settled. I need to go” Sophia said and tried
walking away, but was stopped by Steven.
“uhm… Sophia,” he called. “about last night…”
“listen, Steven, that’s in the past. So, I suggest
we just forget about it” she replied and turned
around to go.
“So… Your opinion still stands?” Steven said to
her back. “you still want me to stay away?”
Sophia stood still, almost not knowing what to
say. She felt very sad.
But she had to do the necessary. Steven was a
cheat and she couldn’t let him play on her like
the others.
“yes, I do” she replied and left without turning
back to look at him.
As she walked away, she felt her blood drying up
from within.
She felt empty.
She didn’t even notice Treasure was coming in
front of her and she had almost brushed her
while walking away.
“Sophia! Are you alright?” Treasure asked,
surprised at her absent-mindedness.
“sorry, I’m fine” replied Sophia with less
enthusiasm.
“well, you don’t look fine to me. Do you feel
sick?”
“I’m okay, Treasure” Sophia said with a faint
smile.
“So, how was your date?” she asked.
“it was fine”.
“fine? Like, nothing happened?”
“yes, nothing”.
“hm. That sounds good”.
“Treasure, I’ll catch up with you later. I need to
check on something in the library” Sophia said
and left without waiting for a reply from
Treasure.
She walked dejectedly, looking like someone who
was lost in thoughts.
Perhaps, she was.
She couldn’t believe she had finally settled things
over with Steven. He was never going to pester
her again.
But, was that really what she wanted?
Two ladies appeared in front of her and blocked
her way. She was surprised.
She tried ignoring them by walking away but they
still followed her and stood firmly in front of her.
“hi”, Sophia said perfunctorily. “is there a
problem?”
“and give me one good reason why there
shouldn’t be” one of the ladies snapped.
It was Michelle.
“I heard you went out with my boyfriend
yesterday. And please, don’t tell me you have
no idea Steven’s my boyfriend “.
” Oh, “Sophia thought.
She quickly concluded it was Michelle.
“is that seriously the reason you stopped me? To
ask me about your boyfriend’s activities? Well,
don’t you think you’re questioning the wrong
person?”

“hey, listen to me. I’m not here for jokes, okay?
The only reason I’m not smashing your face right
now is only because I don’t want to ruin my new
nails. Just in case you’re one of all these cheap
sloths that can’t think of any other guy apart
from mine, then let this be a warning to you.
Stay away from Steven, because the next time I
approach you, it isn’t going to be a warning “.
Sophia scoffed and tried not to laugh.
“just take a look at you. Aren’t you ashamed?
Doing what a guy is supposed to do for you? If
Steven really loves you, then you shouldn’t be
going around, acting like his officer. You
shouldn’t be this scared…”
“hey, keep that trap of yours shut!” Patricia cut
in, pointing a finger at Sophia. “you have no right
to speak that way to my friend. She’s only trying
to protect her boyfriend from gold diggers like
you!”
“Oh, really?” Sophia asked with laughter in her
mouth. “well, why don’t you tell your friend to
ask her boyfriend to explain to her what exactly
he sees in me that makes him run after me?”
And with that, Sophia walked away.
“Patricia, who’s that brat?” Michelle asked with a
grin.
Sophia felt angry at Michelle’s indelicate
attitude. She wished she had slapped her in the
face while they were talking.
She got into the library and took the book she
wanted and when she was about leaving, she met
Oliver at the entrance.
“hi,, good morning” she greeted, but Oliver didn’t
give a reply immediately.
He seemed to turn taciturn when he saw her and
Sophia couldn’t understand why he looked that
way.
“hi,” he replied icily.
It was so unlike him. He was always so lively
whenever he was around Sophia and that was
why Sophia couldn’t understand his sudden
calmness.
“I need to hurry up to class. We’ll talk later”
Sophia said and tried walking away.
“uhm… Hold on,” Oliver called her back and
brought out an invitation card from his pocket.
“I’m having a birthday party tonight and I was
hoping you could be in attendance”.
“Sophia collected the card and starred at it.
Although she had been hearing rumors of his
birthday party for sometime, but she was
surprised he was just inviting her for her it.
“okay. I’ll be there”, she replied and left with it.

POISONED LOVE- Episode 1-3

(E-book/Story)

Episode 1

Every lady’s dream is to get married to a young,
charmingly handsome, educated and above all,
sparklingly wealthy guy.
Well, that was the kind of thing person Steven
was.
Everything a woman desired – or perhaps, almost
everything a woman desired – was found in
Steven. Yes, Steven, the son of a billionaire; the
King of hearts; the champion of Cariters
University.
He was this kind of guy that every lady felt
special just having to spend a minute with him.
He was this kind of guy that every lady was
ready to defile their dignity for, without a second
thought.
Yes, Steven; Steven Damola – also a spoilt brat.
He parked his SUV jeep in the school garage and
looked through his phone. There was a message;
a message from Cynthia.
It read:
“hello, Steven. I really did enjoy last night. I hope
that could happen again anytime soon. Please,
give me a call whenever you need me”.
Steven scoffed and smiled.
“of course, I will. Whenever I need you” he
thought to himself as he alighted from his jeep
with his designers school bag.
*
Along the eatery in Cariters, Michelle walked
along with her best friend, Patricia, laughing and
nattering.
But, they were finally interrupted by the presence
of Lily and her gang of friends – Stacy, Gwen and
Chinwe.
They stopped right in front of Michelle and
Patricia, making it difficult for them to you pass
on.
“you little bitch”, Lily rasped at Michelle. “I heard
you went over to Steven’s home yearsterday.
You really are so shameless, aren’t you?”
“is that what you’re burbling about?” Michelle
asked. “is that why you had to disrupt my way?”
She has paused and laughed and finally wore on
a frown.
” I know you’re just angry you weren’t the one
who had the opportunity of going over to his
house. Well, that’s because Steven would never
accept you into his bedroom.
“now, get out of my way”, Michelle said and
walked away with Patricia, brushing Lily’s
shoulders.
“Hah! That little bitch! She’s really getting on my
nerves. I might just squeeze her to death.”
“calm down, Lily,” Gwen said, placing her hand
on her shoulders. “we’ll look for a way to deal
with her.
*
Mrs Kate parked in front of Cariters University as
she awaited her daughter to get off the car.
“bye, Sophia” she said to her, her hand on her
laps.
“bye, mom”, Sophia replied with a smile and got
off the car.
She waited till her mother drove away before
waking into the school building.
It was magnificent.
That was her first day there in school and she
was really hoping she would have fun in it.
she was really hoping it could perhaps, be
compared to her previous school. It really pained
her a lot that she had to change from it, but
there was nothing she could do since her mom
was transferred by her company to the state.
They had to relocate.
Well, maybe it was going to be fun, because a
week after their arrival, she had made a friend –
Treasure – who was also a student of Cariters.
As a matter of fact, Treasure had been the one
who had recommended the school to her.
She stopped somewhere along the library and
wandered where Treasure might be. She also
wandered where she could find her first lecture
hall.
She finally thought of bringing out her phone to
call Treasure, but she was halted at the sight of
a guy she has seen.
“Damn!” she exclaimed silently.
Was that for real?
She saw him walking with some group of boys,
but he was extremely outstanding.
He had these eyes that displayed a romance
feeling. He had pink lips that longed for some
kissing. He had this dark curly hair that fitted his
fair complexion.
And when he laughed, smiled, Gosh! It was so
charming.
Sophia saw him walking away and felt a life time
opportunity walking away. She couldn’t help but
wonder if someone could be that cute.
“hello, Miss. Are you lost?” she heard a voice
behind her and quickly turned around to see who
it was.
It was a boy; also good looking, but couldn’t be
compared to the guy she had just seen.
“uh… No. I mean, yes. I’m looking for the GST
department”, she replied quickly.

Episode 2

“the GST department? What course are you
offering?” he asked.
“laboratory science”.
“it… seems you’re new here? I haven’t seen you
in any of our lectures before”.
“yes. I’m kind of new”.
“okay, then. I’m Oliver, and you?”
“I’m Sophia”
They exchanged a warm handshake.
“come with me. I’ll show you to the GST lecture
hall” Oliver said and Sophia walked along with
him.
He took the longest route to the GST department
because he wanted to spend some more time
with Sophia.
It seemed he enjoyed her company.
He led her to the GST department and stopped
at the entrance.
“okay, dear. See you later”, Oliver said as he
patted her shoulders and left.
Sophia looked at him and smiled.
She was about going into the hall when she
heard her name from behind. She turned around
and discover it was Treasure.
“Treasure!” she called happily and embraced her.
“it’s a good thing I finally met you”.
“I’ve also been looking for you. Welcome to
Cariters. Come on, we might be late for lectures”
Treasure replied and walked into the GST hall
with her.
The lecture lasted for two hours and at that
time, Treasure and Sophia were already
exhausted. They decided to have lunch together.
They were still existing the GST hall when Oliver
walked up to them, a napkin around his neck.
“hi, Sophia” he greeted excitedly and waved at
Treasure.
“hi,” Sophia replied.
Treasure was starring at them.
“uhm, how about we hang out for lunch?”
Sophia was tempted to agree but quickly had a
second thought about it.
“I’d really love to, but, I’m already booked with
my friend” she replied and adjusted the
textbooks she held in her hands.
“maybe next time” she added.
Oliver starred at her for a while without saying a
word.
She was beautiful. He admired her.
“okay, then. Next time” he replied and left with a
smile.
It seemed Treasure was just waiting for him to
leave so she could unleash her curiosity.
“when did you and Oliver become acquainted?”
she asked with a grim look.
“just today”, replied Sophia as they continued
walking. “he was the one who showed me to the
GST department.”
“hm. Well, you better be careful around him”.
“why? Is there something wrong with him? He
seems a nice person”.
“well, yes. He might look like a nice person, but
you know, there’s a saying that, birds of the
same feathers flocks together. He’s a friend of a
jerk”.
“a jerk? And who’s the jerk?”
“believe me, darling. You wouldn’t want to know
him”.
They walked into the eatery together and settled
down on a table.
They ordered for some light food and kept
themselves busy with it while going through their
lecture notes.
Shortly, Sophia saw him again – the unique
charming guy. The guy that had almost held her
breath in suspense when she first saw him.
He came into the eatery with some boys, Oliver
included, and settled down on a table that was
distant from theirs.
“Treasure,” Sophia called. “who’s that guy over
there? The one sitting next to Oliver?”
Treasure starred at him and flinched.
“who? The jerk?” she asked with a disgusted
look.
“wait, hold on. Don’t tell me he was the jerk you
were referring to? What on earth makes him a
jerk?”
“Oh, my Gosh! Girlfriend, don’t tell me you’ve
also contacted the virus?”
“virus? What virus?”
Sophia was still starring and smiling at him.
“the virus that every lady in this school contacts
about him.
“he’s a womanizer; a chronic one”.
“what?” Sophia shriek. “really? Does he have a
girlfriend?”
“girlfriend?” Treasure asked and scoffed. “take a
look around this eatery, Sophia. Just take a look
around. Every single lady in this eatery is
starring at him – every single lady. They’re all
starring at him and trying to entice him. As long
as you’re an admirer, you’re his girlfriend.
“I can fearlessly say he’s slept with more than
half of the ladies in this school”.
“what? Are you serious?”
“of c, I am. That’s the kind of person Steven is.
He’s indeed a charming guy, and that’s why he
flirts with every single lady that comes his way.
He uses them and dumps them.
“and you know, the worst part is, these ladies do
you realize he has other lovers, but they still take
delight in laying down their bodies for him. I just
don’t understand how girls could be so foolish.
They don’t mind if he cheats on them, just as
long as they get a bit of his attention”.
Sophia was a bit debilitated by Treasure’s story.
She felt bad that the guy she had admired was a
womanizer.
Well, she really wouldn’t blame him. He was
really very handsome.
“hm. So, tell me. Are you also an admirer?”
Sophia asked.
“of course, I’m not. Please, you know I already
have a date” Treasure replied sharply.
“you know”, she continued.” there’s this certain
lady,Lily. Steven had broken up with her a couple
of months ago after using her uncountably. She
had almost ran mad when it happened. It’s a
miracle she was able to return back here in
school.
“right now, the lady who seems to be on board is
Michelle. But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t flirt
around with the other ladies. When I say he has
a girlfriend on board, I mean he has someone he
uses for regular supply”.
“that’s too bad. I really thought he was a nice
fellow” Sophia said.
She suddenly felt sad and weak.
*
She was done with her lectures for the day and
walked along the road to get a cab. Her mom
had texted her earlier that she would be unable
to pick her up from school due to her tight
schedule at the office.
Treasure was still having an evening lecture and
she couldn’t wait for her.
She stopped by the roadside, hoping to catch a
cab soon because she really needed some rest.
Still waiting, an SUV jeep pulled up in front of her
and she wandered whom it might be.
The driver lowered his glasses and starred
through the window of his car.
It was Steven.

Episode 3

For a moment, Sophia’s heart blossomed. But,
the next moment, she recalled the words of
Treasure and she suddenly became bittered.
“hello, miss,” he said, his blue like eyes starring
into her bulgy eyes. “care for a ride?”
Sophia starred at him. Who would say no to
someone like that? Who wouldn’t want to spend
as little as a minute beside someone as cute as
that?
“are you okay?” he asked again, noticing the
depression on her face.
“thanks, but I… I don’t need a ride” Sophia
replied, starring below.
“and why wouldn’t you?” Steven asked as he
stepped down from his car and tried approaching
her.
“stay away from me” Sophia said and stopped
him before he got to where she was.
She walked some steps away from him and
shortly, a cab came along and she boarded it
without turning back to look at Steven who was
out of words.
*
Steven sat on his bed in his bedroom, his back
relaxed against the wall, while Michelle sat
beside him.
They were both watching a movie but his
attention was definitely not in it.
He kept thinking of the strange lady he had met
earlier. The strange lady that had ignored him
strangely.
That was the first time a lady had ever said ‘no’
to him. That was the first time a lady had
ignored him.
Who was she? And why was she acting strange?
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get it
off his mind. All he could think about was the
strange lady.
Every lady craved to be with him. But she? She
had ignored him like an invisible trash.
That felt like a slap to his face.
“Steven?” Michelle called as she touched his
face with her palm. She noticed he was absent
minded.
“are you alright? You look troubled”
Steve took her palms from his face and held
them softly.
“I’m fine”, he replied with a perfunctory smile.
They both remained silent for a while as kept
starring at him.
“Steven?” she called again, softly. “do you love
me?”
Steven looked at her and scoffed.
“and why the sudden question?” he asked,
perturbed.

“come on, Steven. Just give me a reply. I want
to know”.
“Michelle, you’re my girlfriend, right? Isn’t that
enough for you? Of course, I love you”
Michelle smiled and placed her hand on his
thighs.
“I love you very much, Steven. And I wouldn’t
want to share you with anyone else. Besides, I
can give you whatever you need” she said
ardently and started kissing him and after that,
they fell on the bed.
*
Sophia couldn’t fall asleep as she kept thinking
about Steven and what she did to him earlier.
She felt it wasn’t right.
She recalled the look on his face when she had
told him to stay away from her. She knew she
had really surprised him.
She felt bad for doing what she did. She felt bad
that she had ignored her crush, but there was
nothing she could do.
Treasury said he was a womanizer and enjoyed
playing on girls and perhaps, he was also trying
to play on her.
She decided to forget about him as she forced
herself to bed.
*
*
Steven parked his car in front of the school
garage as usual and was about heading to the
library when he sighted her – the strange lady.
Their eyes had ran into each other’s as they
both stood still, starring at themselves.
Steven’s thoughts seemed to be muted as he
couldn’t think of what next to do.
She starred at him for a while and finally walked
away.
Steven felt odd. He felt strange. A twinge of
disappointment ran into his veins.
“hey, dude. What’s up?” he heard a voice behind
him and discovered it was his friend – his best
friend – Oliver.
Steven brightened his face with a smile.
“I’m fine” he replied as they exchanged a nigger
handshake.
They walked into the school building and found a
place to sit.
“So, tell me, how’s the lacrosse team going?”
Oliver asked, beginning to notice an uncanny
attitude with his friend.
Steven brought out a drink from his bag, opened
it and sipped from it before giving a reply.
“it’s going fine”, he replied.
“hey, man. What’s the problem?”
“nothing. I’m fine”.
“are you sure? You don’t look fine to me”.
Steven left his seat and walked some steps
away, starring into space.
“yearsterday,” he started. “I ran into a lady and
offered her a ride home”, he paused and looked
at Oliver.
“but, she snubbed me!”
Oliver starred for a second and finally laughed.
“seriously?” he asked. “wow! Finally, my ever –
loving friend has found a lady that doesn’t think
he’s so charming”.
He laughed again.
“come on, dude. This isn’t funny. This is the first
time a lady has ever said no to me. This isn’t
right. I feel humiliated”.
He sipped from his drink and sighed.
“this isn’t right”, he bemoaned. “nobody says no
to me. Nobody’s above my grasp. And that’s
exactly what I’m going to prove to her”.

Celebrities / Bullies Almost Made Me Drop Out Of School – Cobhams Asuquo Recounts by vickywise737(m): 1:16pm On Dec 08, 2018
Nigerian musician, producer, and songwriter Cobhams Asuquo who was visually impaired from birth has revealed that bullies almost made him drop out of school.

Cobhams who grew up in a military barracks in Jos, Plateau State, disclosed that though his parents didn’t have much, however they gave him so much love. Here are excerpts from his interview with Eric Dumo;

You had your earliest childhood in a military barracks in Jos, Plateau State, what was that period of your life like?

That period was fun because I was able to do all the things most children around could do despite my visual impairment. I remember rolling tyres on the streets with the other children back in those days. I was very competitive. If any child did something around me, I found a way to do it better.

My parents didn’t have much but they gave me so much love. I would say I am a product of love. My visual impairment was never an issue of concern as a child.

Later, my father, who was in the army, was posted to Lagos, so we lived at the Ikeja Military Cantonment.

Were you able to start school as and when due or were there delays as a result of your situation?

I started primary school when I was 10 years old at the Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted Children in Lagos. I had learnt a lot of things from my brothers and sister before I started, so it was quite easy for me to fit in. I listened to a lot of radio programmes as a child, so this increased my understanding of a lot of things.

I attended a boarding primary school and for me, the environment and atmosphere were very different from what I had been used to at home. The shock was such that I wanted to drop out of school in primary two. The routine was quite a lot for a young boy like me who had been used to being woken up by his mother and asked what he wanted for breakfast.

Also, the head boy of the school then didn’t like me much because I spoke with an accent I picked up from watching television which they couldn’t understand. He and a few other boys did all they could to make life difficult for me. The situation got to me and I wanted to drop out of school at that point.

Fortunately for me, a lot of those boys passed out the following year, so things became much easier for me in school. As a matter of fact, I soon became a ringleader myself as time went by. It was an interesting period of my life.

For those who think that having a disability is the end of the world, what words do you have for such people?

I think such persons should take a look at my life. The fact that I am where I am today is testament to the fact that they can do 10 times more.

NYSC / NOUN Graduates Eligible For NYSC, Law School by vickywise737(m): 11:48am On Dec 08, 2018
Students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) can now heave a sigh of relief as President Muhammadu Buhari assents to the National Open University Amendment Act 2018.

The Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, disclosed this to State House correspondents on Friday in Abuja.

He said, “President Buhari has also assented to National Open University Amendment Act, which allows the National Open University to operate as all other universities, having the same power and functions and the same administrative structures.”

Prior to the presidential assent, graduates of the institution have decried the alleged discrimination to participate in the one-year national youth scheme, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The NYSC has, however, been issuing ‘Letter of Exclusion from National Service’ to graduates of the institution.

Also, NOUN graduates have lamented that they were not admitted into the Nigerian Law School upon completion of their degree programmes.

The President’s assent to the National Open University Amendment Act 2018 has now addressed the issues raised by the students of the institution.

This is just as the Act eliminates possible discrimination against programmes and products of the university.

“It has also allowed the establishment of some centres to be called study centres and given conditions for the establishment of such study centres,” Senator Enang revealed.

Politics / APC Moves To Punish Yari, Amosun, Okorocha, Akeredolu by vickywise737(m): 11:23am On Dec 07, 2018
The party leadership last month set up a reconciliation committee but majority of the governors refused to cooperate with members of the committee.
After exhausting all means to placate some critical stakeholders in the party who are aggrieved owing to the fall-out of its controversial primaries, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to wield the big stick on party members, especially state governors who are working against the interest of the party to achieve victory in 2019 general elections, Daily Independent has gathered.

On the cards to be punished, according to a credible source, are Governors Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Rochas Okorocha of Imo and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, among others.

The party leadership last month set up a reconciliation committee but majority of the governors refused to cooperate with members of the committee thereby foreclosing any chances of rapprochement.

Speaking with Daily Independent on Thursday, a member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) said Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the party will soon set up a disciplinary committee which will “look into the activities of some of the stakeholders especially some of the governors who are encouraging their supporters to join other parties.

“I think the party has had enough of the governors and actions will be taken against them. Through their actions and utterances, they have shown utmost contempt for President Muhammadu Buhari who has done everything humanly possible to resolve the issue. They have also disregarded other national leaders such as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and others.

“The party leadership will in the coming days set up a disciplinary committee which will look into the activities of this men and make recommendations to the party. There is a need to sanitise the party, remove the bad eggs and reposition it ahead of the 2019 general elections”, he said.

On what can be done to the dissidents, a source said they may be suspended, expelled or have their tickets withdrawn.

In Ogun, loyalists of Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun, have announced their defection from the APC to the Allied People’s Movement (APM). Adekunle Akinlade, Amosun’s preferred candidate, is the governorship candidate of the party.

The governor who is at daggers drawn with Oshiomhole over the outcome of the primaries said he will remain in the APC to contest the senatorial election in 2019 while ensuring the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The governor, who said that he would not support the governorship candidate of the APC, Dapo Abiodun, however, said aggrieved party members who defected to the APM have his blessings.

The same scenario also played out in Imo State where Uche Nwosu, the son-in-law to Governor Rochas Okorocha, has dumped the APC for the Action Alliance (AA).

Nwosu, who lost the APC ticket to Senator Hope Uzodinma blamed the loss on the party’s leadership.

Okorocha, who has also given Nwosu his blessings, is working to move his loyalists en masse from the APC to AA, sources in Imo Government House said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday 19 out of the 27 lawmakers of the Imo State House of Assembly joined AA, denouncing their memberships of APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The speaker of the state House of Assembly, Acho Ihim, who read the notice of defection signed by the lawmakers during plenary, equally announced that he had joined his colleagues in AA.

Reading the defection notice, Ihim said that the members elected on the platform of PDP have also joined AA.

According to him, the defection notice was dated November 7.

The former PDP lawmakers are Ken Agbim, Bruno Ukoha and Mike Iheanatu.

Apart from the speaker, the former APC lawmakers who joined AA are Ikechukwu Amuka, Authur Egwim, Uju Onwudiwe, Uche Ejiogu, Ngozi Obiefule, Lugard Osuji, Lloyd Chukwuemeka and Victor Onyewuchi.

Others are Chinedu Offor, Kennedy Ibe, Lawman Duruji, Max Odunze, Henry Ezediaro, and Obinna Egu.

In Ondo, loyalists of Governor Akeredolu such as Tunji Abayomi has also dumped the APC for AA.

Abayomi, who has the governor’s full backing, claimed to have won the senatorial ticket of the APC to contest the senatorial election to represent Ondo North Senatorial District at the National Assembly. He also alleged that the national leadership of the party gave the ticket to the serving senator, Ajayi Boroffice automatically at his expense.

Following these developments, the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) also advised the national leadership of the APC to withdraw the ticket of any party leader backing candidates in other political parties for the 2019 general elections.

BMO, said in a statement signed by its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke that such acts amount to anti-party activities that should not be encouraged.

Speaking to Daily Independent, Prof. Itse Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), said having immunity does not stop a governor from being disciplined.

“Of course, governors can be disciplined by the party. There is no immunity in party affairs. They can be suspended or expelled as the case may be depending on the level of their offences. Immunity is against the state bringing criminal charges against a sitting governor. The whole idea is to prevent a situation where a governor will be so distracted by civil or criminal charges. That has nothing to do with the party. The party can discipline a governor”, he said.

APC Aspirants In Court Working For Opposition – Oshiomhole

Meanwhile, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has claimed that some aspirants of the party who are currently in court over the last party primaries were actually working for opposition parties.

Oshiomhole made the claim on Thursday while addressing a consultative meeting of the APC NWC, governorship candidates, and state chairmen at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.

He observed that some aggrieved aspirants were seeking justice and asking the courts to declare them winners and candidates of APC in the forthcoming elections, and pointed out that those asking the court to declare that APC did not hold any primaries were working for the opposition.

He said: “I am aware that we have some instances with some people who have chosen to go to court and they are in two parts: those who are asking the court to declare them as winner.

“It is not easy to comment on such cases but where people are going to court that there was no primaries, such persons are not looking for solutions.

“Such persons are more or less agents of opposition because, based on their prayers, our party would have no candidates in such states.

“The implication is that the opposition is unopposed. So, we have to distinguish between those who are in court in pursuance of justice and in fairness and those working for the opposition.”

He also urged the candidates to play active role in the ongoing reconciliation by reaching out to aggrieved members and running inclusive campaigns that exclude no one.

The APC national chairman said the actions and inactions of the candidates would go a long way in either healing the wounds and reconciling the aggrieved members back to the mainstream or deepen the divisions.

He also cautioned the state chairmen to make the structures of the party available to all candidates.

“Your actions will help the process of reconciliations. It could also deepen division.

“For example, in constituting your campaign organisations, if you want to find out that those who want to be governor like you or who has what it takes to be a governor, or somehow the primaries did not favour, I think it is left for you to identify such persons and make conscious efforts in making them part of your campaign organisations.

“If possible, ask them to lead the campaign because when you find out, I think it will be helpful,” Oshiomhole said.

In his response, Governor Mohammed Isah Bello of Niger State said the party in the state had taken the bold step in refunding the cost of nomination forms to aggrieved aspirants in the state to quicken the healing and reconciliation process, and urged other governors to do the same.

He warned that the party was losing time in calling for urgent action in mobilising support in the state.

Bello said: “It is good that we are one united APC and together on one platform.

“I think we should start working together. We are already losing time even though it is not too late.

“We are going to come out in full force even though we cannot take things for granted.

“What is left now is for us to return to our states and start putting up formidable campaign structures to take off.

“Many have been asking when we are going to kick-start the campaign, which is an indication that people still love the party. They cannot wait to see us start.”

On his part, Governor Solomon Lalong of Plateau State urged all Abuja-based politicians in the party to return to their villages and campaign for party.

He said all politics is local. He said a situation where governors toiled to elect leaders only to be shoved aside by Abuja-based politicians would not augur well for the party.

Meanwhile, the APC consultative meeting, which had state chairmen and secretaries in attendance, passed a vote of confidence in the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Oshiomhole.

It also urged the candidates to run issue-based and inclusive campaigns, while frowning at attempts by some leaders of the party to polarize the APC in their domain.

A statement by Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC National Publicity Secretary, said the meeting, among other things, resolved that party leaders must campaign for all candidates of the party (presidential, governorship, and legislative positions).

“A situation where leaders engage in selective support by picking and choosing candidates to campaign for and support was declared anti-party,” the statement said.

Politics / Trouble As Court Orders EFCC, DSS, Police To Arrest Diezani Within 72 Hours by vickywise737(m): 1:47pm On Dec 05, 2018
The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, in Apo, Abuja, on Tuesday ordered the arrest of the immediate-past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is currently under investigation for corruption allegations in the United Kingdom.

EFCC’s acting spokesperson, Mr. Tony Orilade, said this in a statement on Tuesday.

Ruling on an ex parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Justice Valentine Ashi, gave the anti-graft agency, the Nigerian Police Force, and the Department of States Security Service and all other security agencies to arrest her within 72 hours.

“The Inspector General of Police, the Chairman of the EFCC, the Attorney General, the Department of State Services, are hereby ordered in the name of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria to apprehend and arrest the first defendant and produce her before this court for further directives within 72 hours”, the judge ordered.

The same judge had on Monday, on the request by the EFCC, granted leave permitting the anti-graft agency to arraign her and one of her associates, Olajide Omokore, on five counts of corruption allegations.

Both the order of arrest and the charges filed before the court are part of the moves to have the former minister extradited to Nigeria from the UK.

EFCC’s Acting Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, had recently said the commission was planning to extradite the ex-minister to Nigeria following the commission’s dissatisfaction with ýthe handling of the case by the UK government.

Earlier praying for Alison-Maduekwe’s arrest on Tuesday, EFCC’s lawyer, Msuur Denga, said the order of arrest was to enable the commission to apprehend and arraign her for the alleged financial crimes in Nigeria.

The EFCC said it had investigated the former minister along with Omokore, a former Chairman, Atlantic Energy Drilling Company, following a petition dated October 2, 2013, from the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, bordering on money laundering and official corruption.

EFCC added in a statement, “Investigations into the petition revealed that Madueke as supervising minister of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, was found to have engaged in illicit and monumental fraudulent dealings in oil transactions, which she entered into on behalf of the Federal Government.

“Madueke and Omokore, are also alleged to have accepted and given gifts in properties located at Penthouse 22, Block B, Admiralty Estate, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 21, Building 5, Block C, Banana Island, Lagos. They are to be arraigned on February 25, 2019 on a five-count for the offences, which are contrary to Sections 26(1) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.”

The EFCC had said Alison-Madueke left the country for the United Kingdom while investigations into the allegations against her were ongoing.

It said the former minister had since refused to honour EFCC’s invitation to return to the country to be prosecuted.

Sports / Man United Vs Arsenal: What Mourinho Said Ahead Of Wednesday's EPL Clash At Old by vickywise737(m): 11:31am On Dec 05, 2018
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho expects a difficult test against Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Mourinho suggested on Tuesday that his opponents may be fresher because they are playing in the Europa League.

Arsenal climbed to fourth after an impressive 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Mourinho was, however, quick to point out that the Gunners had been able to keep key players fresh for big games by rotating their squad in the Europa League.

“Yes it’s different and a difficult match for us. We’re going to play a good team in a good moment without accumulation of matches because they’re playing Europa League,” Mourinho told a news conference.

“When you play Europa League, you normally play with second choices and give good rest to the players.

“We have to play to the max and there is an accumulation of matches. Then you arrive in this moment in December and many teams pay the price of that.

“That is not the motivation you want as a team but to develop player’s fresher is a good way to do it,” added Mourinho, whose side have been playing in the Champions League.

United clawed their way back to draw 2-2 draw at Southampton in their last game but have not won in the league since beating Bournemouth 2-1 in November.

They are seventh with 22 points but Mourinho backed his side to leapfrog Everton and secure a top-six finish.

“United should never be in seventh place… the investment Everton made was phenomenal and obviously there was a great improvement in that team from last season.

“I don’t think Everton will be in front of United at the end of the season. There are six teams that should stay in the first six positions, season after season. Two are outside the top four. Last season, it was Arsenal and Chelsea.

“At the end of the season the top six will be done by the six teams we all know have that responsibility to finish in the top six,” Mourinho added.

Midfielder Ashley Young is suspended for the game while defenders Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are doubtful with injury problems.

Sports / EPL: Why Manchester United Won’t Support Mourinho To Sign More Players by vickywise737(m): 8:56pm On Dec 03, 2018
A former English professional football player and manager, Christopher Roy Sutton has claimed that Manchester United’s Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, will not give manager Jose Mourinho the desired fund to buy players in January.

Sutton said Woodward cannot let Mourinho spend big in January having spent close to £300 million already.

“With the transfer window opening in less than a month’s time, Manchester United face a huge decision,” Sutton told Daily Mail.

“Do they back Jose Mourinho with the funds to turn their season around? Given Mourinho’s track record at Old Trafford, I cannot see how Ed Woodward can trust him.

“Having already spent close to £300million, there is no guarantee Mourinho can get them out of this malaise with another spree.

Politics / Nigeria Gets Fresh $200 Million Loan by vickywise737(m): 8:25pm On Dec 03, 2018
The Nigerian government has been granted a sum of $200 million loan for the funding of the country’s Electrification Project (NEP).

African Development Bank Group Monday said it loaned $150 million for the project while the balance of $50 million was issued from the Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF), a US$2 billion facility sponsored by the People’s Bank of China.

“The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group has approved a US$150 million sovereign loan to the Federal Government of Nigeria to finance the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP),” AfDB said in a statement.

“The Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF), a US$2 billion facility sponsored by the People’s Bank of China and administered by the African Development Bank, has also approved a US$ 50 Million Loan to the Federal Government of Nigeria to co-finance the project.”

According to the finance institute, the joint financing is targetted at supporting the federal government efforts “to address critical energy access deficit in the country, and catalyze achievement of universal energy access by 2030 targets.”

In 2017, the World Bank approved a sum of $350 million loan to Nigeria for the development of rural electrification projects in the country.

About 80 million people in Nigeria have no access to electricity, while about 600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa do not have power supply in their various communities.

“By supporting the electrification of unconnected and underserved communities, NEP will contribute materially to their economic development,” said the managing director of the Rural Electrification Agency, Damilola Ogunbiyi.

“Access to reliable, affordable and clean electricity will result in savings for households and businesses, which can be deployed to other uses.”

The federal government has said it would by 2020, generate up to 3,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity with about 10,000 mini-grid projects to electrify communities in the country that are yet to get connected to the national grid.

In 2016, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said that the federal government was ready to invest up to $150 million in rural electrification projects.

Fashola disclosed that government plans to use 44 tertiary institutions and small hydro dams in the rural areas as anchors for the electrification Programme.

He explained that the money would be deployed towards providing Independent Power Plants, IPPs, to supply electricity to tertiary institutions and rural communities.

The minister also said that 37 out of the 44 tertiary institutions to be used for the project were universities, while the other seven were teaching hospitals.

Politics / Vote Atiku So We Can All Have Food To Eat, Goodluck Jonathan Tells Nigerians. by vickywise737(m): 7:04pm On Dec 03, 2018
Former president Goodluck Jonathan says only the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can feed Nigerians three times a day.

Jonathan asked Nigerians to vote Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate in 2019, “so that all of us will have food to eat”.

Speaking at the flag-off of the 2019 presidential election campaign by the PDP, Jonathan said the northwest is the most populous part of Nigeria, and it is the region’s time to show Nigeria the way.

“We have seen four presidents, from Obasanjo to our late brother, Yar’Adua, to myself, and to the current president. You have seen how the various presidents and the various parties have worked, and one thing that is very clear is that PDP is still the number one party,” Jonathan said.

“There is something that all of us need as human beings, everybody eats, everybody, every day must eat, and if you cannot eat well, then you are not happy.

“PDP is the only party that can make sure all of us eat very well, in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening”.

He told the mammoth crowd that they should endeavor not to vote wrong, else their children and grandchildren will not forgive them.

“Let us not make any mistakes, those of us that are adults, old enough to vote, if we vote wrongly, our children and grandchildren will not forgive us,” he added.

“Today, our country has a lot of challenges; look at all the presidential candidates, all of them are good people, but among all, we have seen that it is only Atiku that can deliver.

“If you have a soccer match, you go with your best 11, you don’t manage, if you have a wrestling or a boxing tournament, you go with your best, you don’t manage.

“Atiku is experienced enough; he has demonstrated clearly from his personal life and his business life that he has that capacity to bring this country to one, and make our economy grow, so that all of us will have food to eat.”

Politics / Just In: Atiku Returns To Nigeria From Uk, Did Not Enter Us (reasons) by vickywise737(m): 4:10pm On Dec 02, 2018
A group, Initiative To Save Democracy has said that it has credible information that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has returned to Nigeria after failing to secure assurances from the US Department of Justice that he will not be arrested if he sets his foot into the soil of the United State.

It will be recalled that on Saturday it was widely reported that the Waziri Adamawa secured a US visa and had travelled to the United Kingdom from where he will fly into the United states where he had not been able to step foot for more than 13 years.

But the group in a statement signed by its president, Akinloye James said Atiku had on Thursday travelled to the United Kingdom after securing a United States Visa from where he hopes to travel to the United State.

“His mission in the United Kingdom is to get the British Government to help him secure the assurances of the United States Department of Justice that he will not be arrested upon setting foot in US soil. But the British government is reported to have informed Abubakar that the US Department of Justice has made it clear that it cannot guarantee he will not be arrested.”

Atiku has refused to travel to the United States since the case of money laundering allegation involving him and a US congressman, Williams Jefferson came to limelight.

His counterpart in the United State, Williams Jefferson has already served jail term and made to refund part of the money traced to him for money laundering, but Atiku has since been walking free even though he has been unable to set foot in the US.

Having failed to secure the assurances of the British government and fearing that he may be arrested by the International Police (InterPol), Atiku quickly returned to Nigeria to forestall any possible arrest.

Paul Ibe, Head of the Atiku Media Office who has been speaking on behalf of the PDP presidential candidate prior to appointing a spokesman for his campaign tweeted a while ago that Atiku has since returned to Abuja.

“HE @atiku embarked on a private visit to the United Kingdom on Thursday shortly after the inauguration of his Presidential Campaign Council. He has since returned back to Abuja,” .

Politics / ''I Don't Control Boko Haram... I Cannot Take Responsibility For Chibok Girls' by vickywise737(m): 12:27pm On Dec 01, 2018
''I don't control Boko Haram... I cannot take responsibility for Chibok girls' abduction'' ex-president Goodluck Jonathan says

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that he cannot take responsibility for the abduction of the Chibok girls in April 2014 as he does not control the terrorist group.

Recall that Boko Haram members stormed the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, on April 14th 2014 and abducted over 200 girls.

Speaking in an interview with BBC on Friday November 30th, Jonathan said he did all that was expected of any responsible government to do immediately the girls were abducted.

"Immediately the Chibok [schoolgirls] issue came up, we expected Nigerians to be concerned. ‘How do we get these girls out?’ Within a couple of days, we saw people going to the US with Bring Back Our Girls placards. How? Why? And of course, Mrs Obama received one of those placards. I cannot take responsibility for that abduction. I don’t control Boko Haram. They are criminals.

"But as a president, of course you know it’s not the president that goes to the fields. You have security and intelligence officers that do the work. Let me admit that yes, maybe they do their best, but their best was not good enough for us to recover the girls. That I cannot say I am right or I am wrong. That does not mean I am trying to remove myself from any blame. Yes I may not be blamed for the action, but I could be blamed that my security and intelligence systems were not strong enough to be able to rescue the girls.

"If I as a politician, will tell the whole world that my political ambition fir any single office is not worth the blood of any Nigerian, how will I be happy that girls have been kidnapped? I’m not that kind of character."

Celebrities / Why My Dad Arrested Me – Davido Reveals, Shows Off His New Bentley After A Succe by vickywise737(m): 8:24am On Nov 30, 2018
Why My dad arrested me – Davido reveals, shows off his New Bentley after a successful 30BillionConcert (PHOTOS)

As soon as he pads into the smart lobby of a Leeds hotel, 25-year-old Nigerian pop star Davido — wearing Gucci slippers and a merch shirt from his 30 Billion world tour — is accosted by excited staff requesting selfies. One woman tells him: “I listen to your music every day!”

Davido, aka David Adedeji Adeleke, is slightly jet-lagged, but amiable. He’s arrived in Leeds to perform at the 2017 Mobo Awards, where he’ll also receive the Best African Act trophy. This isn’t Davido’s first UK trip; he’s previously packed out club shows here.

He has, however, reached a point where his success across Africa is translating into international recognition. Having signed a major label deal with Sony, his triumphant latest single “Fia” follows “If” and “Fall” (the latter tracks so far amassing 54.7m and 38m views respectively on YouTube).

David Adeleke has won Best African Act at the MTV EMAs, and in early 2018 his 30 Billion tour (which has already covered venues across the US, Spain, Djibouti, Ivory Coast and beyond) hits the UK.

“Funnily enough, this is the first time that I’ve won European awards,” says Davido, in sweetly raspy tones. “I realised that when I really focused on Africa and my culture, that’s when people started recognising me. I travel a lot, but I know the kind of environment I need to be in; I’d rather create the music at home, in Lagos. The travelling distracts me, because there’s so much going on.”

In the western music mainstream, the profile of young African talent is soaring. Of course, Africa’s vital influence on, and cross-pollination with, international music scenes, has been deep-rooted over decades; among countless examples are Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat movement and legendary 1970s Lagos hotspot The Shrine, which drew the likes of Paul McCartney to work in Nigeria.

The 21st century has seen collaborative projects such as Africa Express: launched by British musician Damon Albarn, it has connected artists from Mali, Congo, Senegal, the UK and the US. But recent years have also seen the mainstream focus on “afrobeats”: seemingly a catch-all term, yet very distinct from Fela’s polemical grooves.

Afrobeats sounds are fuelled by youth culture and catchy anthems, their vocals and rhythms laced with electronic effects. Some artists have been Brits reflecting their African heritage: take Fuse ODG, whose 2014 debut TINA (This Is New Africa) merged Ghanaian dance roots with western club production, or fellow Londoner J Hus, whose album Common Sense created a buzz this year.

Many others, such as Davido, are Nigerian talents whose success was established well before western attention: D’banj, say, who scored a 2012 hit with “Oliver Twist”, or Wizkid, who raised the roof at London’s Royal Albert Hall in September.

Afrobeats has also notably inspired work by international stars including Beyoncé and Drake. Why is it that the western mainstream has now experienced an awakening?

It’s the internet and social media,” replies Davido, with the assurance of someone who has Nigeria’s biggest Instagram account (5.5m followers). “I’m telling you, Nigerian people have a supportive force, and an amazing energy. Beyoncé and Kanye felt it on their visits, but Nigeria has always been very big on entertainment; when I was little, a big artist would come over to play every Christmas.

“Now the music industry in Nigeria is like a government ministry; it’s worth billions. There are so many artists in Nigeria that you might not have heard of, but trust me, they’re doing well.”

Davido has never played down his own wealthy background; his 2012 debut album was entitled Omo Baba Olowo (Yoruba for “Son of a rich man”).

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to a family of Nigerian entrepreneurs, and he returned to the US to study engineering; when Davido went Awol to pursue music instead, his father was decidedly unimpressed — and had him arrested upon his reappearance in Lagos.
Davido and His Official DJ, ECool

“My dad didn’t like me doing music!” laughs Davido. “If he saw my face on a billboard, he’d arrest everybody at that show! But when I made the song ‘Dami Duro’ [2011], it became the biggest track in Africa; it’s saying: ‘I’m the son of a rich man, you can’t stop me, and people love me.’ It now feels good for dad to see that music can take me this far.”

This multilingual pop wave is arguably pan-African, with artists and fans taking inspiration from countries around the continent; it highlights the rich disparity of African cultures — and the limitations of the “afrobeats” tag.

“In Nigeria, we all mix sounds together and collaborate; it’s natural,” says Davido. He prefers to call his own music “afrofusion”, with elements including hip-hop, Ghanaian high life, South African kwaito, and R&B. “It’s been generalised as afrobeats, but I have songs that sound like afropop, afrotrap . . . ”

Following the huge success of Davido‘s headline show, 30BillionConcert on the 27th of December 2018, which he announced he made half a 500 million Naira in profit, the superstar singer has acquired himself a new ride.

The FIA crooner shared a photo of his new Bentley on his Instagram page which he captioned: ❤️..God you have been too good to me!!

Celebrities / The ♡heartwarming♡ Story Of Paul Okoye And His Wife – How They Met, Age Differen by vickywise737(m): 8:13am On Nov 30, 2018
Most people know Paul Okoye as a member of a famous duo P-Square or as a solo artist RudeBoy a.k.a. King Rudy. However, the fact that he is also a wonderful father and husband often escapes media’s attention. Therefore, today we are going to talk about Paul Okoye wife and his adorable children. Check it out!

The story of Paul Okoye and wife

Paul Okoye (born November 18, 1981) met his future wife Anita Isama (born November 8, 1988) all the way back in 2004, when he was attending the University of Abuja. Even despite a significant age difference (Anita was only 16, when Paul was already 23), the two hit it off right away and became close friends.

In two years, their friendship had grown into something more, so Paul and Anita started dating. In her interview to NAIJ, Anita recalled that she was head over heels in love with Paul and that she knew him better than she knew herself. Anita also said that his growing popularity never affected her much, and that she always just took him for who he was.

It has always appeared as if these two were just made for each other. They enjoy spending their free time together by going on bike rides, relishing in the outdoors, playing beach volleyball or even just watching TV. The only things they could never agree on, were interior design, style and fashion, but those were of minor importance.

All that said, the couple did not seem to think about tying the knot up until the birth of their first child. On April 11, 2013, Anita gave birth to their son Andre in Atlanta, Georgia. It was probably what influenced Paul to make a move and finally propose to her.

Paul Okoye wedding

On March 22, 2014, Anita Isama officially became Anita Okoye. The two got traditionally married in Port Harcourt and legalised their union two years ago at the Ikoyi Registry.

You most likely know everything there is to know about Paul Okoye by now. However, you might not be aware of the fact that Anita is actually much more than just Paul Okoye’s wife. She has a degree in Law and an MBA, and she is an entrepreneur, author and philanthropist.

One of her ventures is called #TheCashewAppleProject, the goal of which is to uncover the hidden jewels of Africa. The project began with Anita’s book called The ABCs of Africa, which you can pre-order on Anita’s website (anitaokoye.com).

If you want to see what Paul and Anita are up to these days, you can follow them on Instagram (@rudeboypsquare and @anita_okoye respectively).

Now that we have talked so much about the happy couple, it only makes sense to talk about their beautiful children.

As we have mentioned before, the couple had their first child back in 2013. Today, little Andre is not so little anymore, as he is already four years old. Time flies!

If his parents’ pictures or Instagram are anything to go by, both of them love Andre very much and try to give him all the best things he could ever dream of.

One thing they could not give him for quite some time was siblings. Anita once shared her despair, when she valiantly tried to conceive but could not. However, God smiled upon her, and 2017 became the year that the Okoye family got a little bigger.

babies

On July 9, 2017, the world welcomed the two beautiful twins of Paul and Anita. They were born in a hospital abroad, but soon arrived to Nigeria to be properly introduced to their daddy and older brother. The twins are named Nadia and Nathan, and they are just the cutest babies in the world!

so cute

The two bundles of joy became famous even before they were born. Their mom (with the help of her friends) documented her journey of delivering the twins and shared it with her Instagram followers. In addition, the babies have their own hashtags and even an Instagram page!

You can often see posts of them or about them on their parents’ accounts with hashtags #doubledouble and #Nsquare. You can also check out their own Instagram account @nadiaandnathanokoye. It has not been updated much, but it still has almost two thousand followers.

These days, Paul and Anita have their hands full. After all, having two tiny babies and another one that is just slightly bigger is no small feat. Nevertheless, it looks like they are able to deal with everything almost effortlessly. Despite his music career, Paul Okoye always finds time to spend with his family and to help with kids and around the house.

All in all, Paul has been blessed with a beautiful caring wife and three adorable kids. In addition to being a talented musician, he is also a great father and a loving husband. We wish him and his family all the best, and may God watch over them.
