u can get it in Abuja. the only problem i had then was, when the phone is going to sleep mode, it blinks. (I changed rom, adjust brightness, all to no avail)I took it to Gionee Customer care centre, the Engineer, John , told me the screen is bad, faulty that the screen wasn't available then.I kept on calling him, until he finally told me the screen was available. since, i was still within their warranty period, the Engineer change the screen FREE OF CHARGE.I didn't pay a DIME. the phone is Looking New NOW. In fact, sb asked me then in the shop whether i want to sell the GIONEE M5.

How come there is no pay on delivery option on jumia?

Pls help me on my M5. Whenever the phone is automatically locked, I will not be able to access the screen as it will look like it has hanged and until I flash the line therein before I can have access to the screen again.

I have the latest software and don't know what might be causing this anomaly.

Hope ur internal storage is not full? Remove sd card and see if it will behave that way....... Is that how it has been behaving since u buy the phone? U might need to at the end back up ur files on a pc and factory reset it

Click that storage, then clicking click root folder, u will see two folders, one is named 0 and the second one is sdcard1,the sdcard1 is ur sd card, click it and, u will see a warning message, click yes, then it will take u to a folder where u can save ur uc files

You have to change ur ucbrowser download location to ur SD card by following this step-open uc, click on settings, click download settings, click default path, change it to sd card...

Alternatively, move ur videos from internal storage to sd card, then continue to download to internal storage then move again to sd card, continue to repeat the procedure.......... U are free to use either method

Sure the battery is cool, i didn't say otherwise, my point is that gionee wasn't truthful to the performance of the battery, it's not worth the hype

Hello all,I need some help.
I got this phone on the 12 of this month brand new from slot.
now am not a heavy user and only just use this phone to browse,read,listen to music and on rare occasion stream stuff for 2hrs max.
for some reason I just want to see how well my battery compared to some of you guys so I have been reading this thread from the beginning.
So I ran a test and use the phone for heavy downloads for one 1hr after charging fully and it dropped from 100 to 93 % is this normal behavior for the M5.
NB. my version is V6230
and just to conserve more battery my display is always on the lowest possible and I normally switch off one sim.

I really just want to know if I am I doing anything wrong.

To me, gionee scam us with the performance of the battery, they claim the battery can go for 4 days, this is a pure lie, all i experience with minimal usage is 48 hrs max, another thing is that they refuse to expose the mechanism of operation of the two batteries. Am disappointed!

please how does gionee m5 battery works, learnt it has two batteries, when does the second battery start working? Gionee said the phone can last for 4days with the dual battery. Someone should juxtapose this please

Your phone charger might be a slow charger or a fast one. If you charge your phones with fast chargers, you will definitely enjoy charging phones in this epileptic power nation.

Now here is a simple visual physics experiment that you can do even now to know whether your phone charger is a slow or fast charger.

Pick up that your charger now and look at the output power ratings; if you see 5V----1A or like this 5V----1000mA or anything less than that 1000mAh, then you shoulgld immediately know that you have a slow phone charger. But if you see 5V----2A or in this format 5V----2000mA or more, then you have a fast phone charger.

This is what i will say, stick to the input rating of your device, if the input asked for 5v, 1A,u will be doing your self more harm than good if you are looking for a fast way of charging it and u now use 5v,2A input to charge it. ... . Couldn't exhaust it coz i travelled out of 3g enabled town, 10gig is not enough for me on a good day.... U should have used your brain to work out the possible cause of this situation in the first place instead of asking a funny question!

Morning everyone, glo network is very slow here, wasn't able to exhaust the 1gig before 9pm,so my data expired with it, but it renewed itself with the 1k on my phone, now back on glo bis, thanks to you all
