NSCDC DEPLOYS 2,225 OPERATIVES TO BEEF UP SECURITY IN NASARAWA, AHEAD OF EASTER CELEBRATIONS

The Commandant Nasarawa State Command State of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps *Comdt. Ismaila Abdullahi* has ordered the deployment of Two thousand and Two Hundred and Fifteen (2,215) Officers and Men across various Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, worship centers, celebration venues, parks, recreational centers, and other strategic points, as part of efforts at ensuring the safety of lives and property during, before, and after the forthcoming Easter celebration.

The State Commandant of the NSCDC, *Ismaila Abdullahi* made the disclosure on Thursday 28th March, 2024 at the State Command Headquarters, in Lafia the State Capital while having a strategic meeting with the Command’s top management team,

Present at the meeting were the Area Commanders, and Divisional Officers, including Heads of Departments and Units, Heads of formation, and Tactical Teams Commanders, who came to review the already existing security framework and to set in motion plans for water- tight security during the Easter celebration.

According to the NSCDC Commandant, the personnel were drawn from the Rapid Response Squad, Counter Terrorism Unit, Disaster Management Unit, Investigation and Intelligence Department, Female Strike Force, and Anti-Vandals Squad.

“The personnel are expected to provide both overt and covert operations, round-the-clock surveillance, pin downs, and mobile visibility preventive patrol in all identified flashpoints and other strategic locations to neutralize and subdue any unforeseen circumstances during the festive season,” the NSCDC Boss said.

The State Commandant through an effective operational order for the operation directed all Area Commanders, DOs, Heads of Formation, and Tactical Commanders to deploy personnel and operational assets to areas of security interest within their respective areas of responsibility to avoid mischief makers showing their ugly faces and causing any form of mayhem for the law-abiding citizens.

“Consequently, officers and men deployed for this assignment are under strict instructions to be professional and courteous to law-abiding citizens but firm to suppress all criminal elements who might want to take advantage of the season to perpetuate their nefarious acts,” he advised.

Extending his felicitations to the residents and people of the state, especially the Christian faithful, *Comdt. Ismaila* called on members of the public to cooperate with NSCDC and other security agencies, as adequate security measures have been placed to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.

He said; “Members of the public are advised to go about their lawful business without apprehension of fear or molestation, be security conscious, law-abiding and when in distress take advantage of the command’s emergency Hot-Lines and report any suspicious movement in and around their vicinity to any security agency closest to them.

Sule Bawa MFR, Sarkin Gudi* and the biological father to His *Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule* the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, also the Chun Mada, *Chief Samson Gamu Yare, JP* and the Aren Eggon, *Hon. Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku OFR, (RTD)* at their Palace in Gudi, Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon respectively.

The State Commandant *Ismaila Abdullahi* seek for the royal fathers' blessing as he takes the mantle of leadership of the NSCDC in Nasarawa State. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command, apprehended one Godiya Ayuba 25 years M' from Agudu, in Obi local government area of Nasarawa State.

The suspects, Godiya Ayuba, visited his two cousin sisters in Revival Thunder International Secondary School in Obi local government area of Nasarawa State.

This was made known by the Command Public Relations Officer DSC Jerry Victor, at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital.

The Spokesman, said, the suspect visited two of his cousin sisters at the above-mentioned school in Obi LGA of the state, requesting them to indicate if there are any challenges thy are facing in school? They told him there is none except for the charcoal they have already told there father, whom he promised to bring by the weekend.

The suspect Godiya Ayuba insisted that he will provide them with the charcoal, but they should follow him to the town to get it for them, they told him that it is not allowed to go out of the school compound without the knowledge of the school authority, he gladly and nonchalantly requested for their permission from the teacher on duty who granted it to him since they have identified him as their cousin brother.

While going to the town, the suspect have to allow the youngest sister to go back to school indicating that the eldest will met her in school, that was when the suspect diverted the elder sister to an unknown location and forcefully had his way on her.

The suspect ride his motorcycle and left the victim, not knowing where she was, A good Samaritan came across her and took her the the nearby village, Tudun Adabu along Obi local government area of the state.

The victim narrated her ordeal to the her uncles where her father was informed and the suspect was arrested.

In the same vein, a suspect Habibi Mohammed 25yrs from Gombe State, but resides at Lafia east, in Lafia the State Capital defile a 4yrs of toddler, in Lafia east.

The 4 years old survivor (Name withheld), was seen crying profusely by a woman, when accosted, she narrated what the suspect, Habibi Mohammed so to her, when he was interrogated he confessed to the crime and was brought to the Command for further investigation.

The State Commandant *Ismaila Abdullahi* has condemn this act in it's totality, and decry the incessant rape and defilement cases in the state, he said the suspects will be charge to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution, this will serve as a deterrent to others.

The State Commandant *Ismaila Abdullahi* in his words I want to use this medium to plead with all parents and guardians to be wary of the movement of their children and wards, especially the girl child as they need more attention, in other not to give an iota of moment for the bad elements to perpetrate their evil intention, as the right of the Girl Child must be protected at all cost.

He urged the general public to be proactive in crime reporting, and also report any crime to NSCDC office or any security agency closest to them.

*CAR SNATCHING: TWO NABBED OTHERS ON THE RUN AS NSCDC BURST CAR SNATCHING SYNDICATE IN NASARAWA, RECOVER STOLEN VEHICLE*

The Commandant General’s Special intelligence Squad busted a gang of notorious car snatching syndicate terrorizing Lafia, Benue, Plateau, Kogi and Kaduna States in recent times. At about 1345hrs of Wednesday, 10th January, 2023, the Commandant General's Special Intelligence Squad (CG's SIS) in collaboration with NSCDC Kaduna state command, arrested two (2) suspects, in connection to a case of Armed Robbery, Burglary, Threat to life and Car Theft at Zaria, Kaduna State.

Parading the suspects at the Command’s Headquarters in Lafia, the State Capital, the State Commandant, Ismaila Abdullahi said, the robbery incidence was carried out by about Seven (7) man armed robbery gang, who broke into the house of one *Ajegena Ovey* and tied him up at about 2100hrs of Sunday, 24th December, 2023, at Bukan-Sidi area of Lafia, Nasarawa State, before taking away the car at gun point.
Operatives of the CG's SIS in collaboration with Kaduna state Command of the NSCDC arrested Ibrahim Mohammed and Augustine Deyi on the 29th December 2023 at about 1330hrs, along ABU Zaria road Kaduna state, in possession of the stolen car (HYUNDAI TUCSON JEEP) they were in Zaria to sell the car on behalf of their other cohorts still at large, when they were arrested after a tip-off.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command Headquarters received today 10th January, 2024 the newly redeployed State Commandant following the promotion of Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt,* to the enviable rank of Assistant Commandant General (ACG).

*Commandant Ismaila Abdullahi*, a seasoned Officer with vast experience, born in the early 60's in Okene, Kogi State. A graduate of Banking and Finance from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Business Administration and Masters in Business Administration from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.

Commandant *Ismaila Abdullahi* served in Kwara, Niger, Ebonyi and Oyo States as Uniform Accountant, he also served as the Commander In-charge of National Oil-Spill, Detection and Response Agency, (NOSDRA) Abuja.

Until his redeployment, he was the Commandant Water Resources under the directorate of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure National Headquarters Abuja.

The outgoing State Commandant, *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt,* has undoubtedly and unequivocally transformed the State Command to an enviable state, the Command without equivocation is matchless and without equal in the country, he has changed the public narrative and perception of NSCDC in Nasarawa State.

NSSRCC expresses confidence in capabilities of communities in supporting success of safe Schools project

The National Safe Schools Response Coordination Centre (NSSRCC), has expressed confidence in the capabilities and contributions of members of schools' communities, and called on them to assist in the protection of educational institutions sited in their domains.

Speaking at a press briefing at Doma town in Doma Local Government Headquarters, Nasarawa State, as part of activities preceding a sensitisation workshop for Strategic Stakeholders in the North-Central Geopolitical Zone on the activities of the National Safe Schools Response Coordination Centre and Safe Schools Programme in Nigeria, scheduled to hold this Thursday at the Government House, Lafia, Commander of the Centre, CSC Tersoo Shaapera PhD, described such collaboration by the public as crucial for the success of the Safe Schools implementation project.

In his words, "We must all unite against anything that will affect teaching and learning process in any school whether the ones in urban, semi-urban and rural areas.Our interest at the NSSRCC is to ensure the protection of schools in remotest villages, border communities and those in city centers."

He continued that, "with support and collaboration of all and sundry, I believe the goal is realizable. All we need to do is to demonstrate the willingness in support of what the Federal government has started as being strengthened by some state governments."

Also, the Commander on behalf of Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), appreciated the support of all security agencies in the implementation of the Safe Schools Project most especially the Nigerian Army and Department of State Services.

He explained that such collaborative efforts have enabled the Centre to foil many attempts to attack schools, reiterating that such synergy should be sustained by all state actors and other stakeholders to confront the menace.

Speaking earlier at the Palace of Andoma of Doma, the Nasarawa State Commandant of the Corps, Abbas Bappa Mohammed, said the NSCDC delegation was at the place to intimate the Royal Father of the press briefing/sensitisation workshop and seek his royal blessings and also to pay homage.

The Royal Father Alhaji (Dr) Ahmadu Aliyu Oga Onawo, OON, who also attended the briefing described the establishment of the centre in response to security as proactive and assured of his support and that of his subjects.

According to Andoma, the desire of every parent is to have their children safe in schools everywhere they are noting that when education is acquired by children, they will contribute to national development.

In an address of welcome, the Council's Chairman, Arc Ahmed Sarki Usman, appreciated a coordinated response of all security agencies in his council which resulted in the safe rescue of over 70 per cent of school pupils kidnapped on 20th January, 2023 but were safe rescued on 3rd February, 2023.

Usman who said he was overwhelmed by the gesture of NSCDC which has put up a Rapid Response in the area, pledged his council's support to the Corps.

The event was attended by members of the traditional institution, teachers, students, other security agencies, stakeholders and the media among others.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State have made a significant breakthrough in its efforts to combat motorcycle snatching activities in the state. The Command has successfully busted a motorcycle snatching syndicate and arrested six suspects involved in the criminal activities. Additionally, the NSCDC has also recovered the remains of a commercial motorcycle operator who fell victim to the activities of the syndicate.

While addressing newsmen at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital, the State *Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* who spoke through the Command's Public Relations Officer *DSC Jerry Victor,* said
the arrest of the six suspects marks a significant achievement for the NSCDC as this demonstrates the command's commitment to combating crime and enhancing security in the state. The syndicate's activities posed a serious threat to the safety and security of the residents, particularly motorcycle operators who were targeted by this criminal group.

The suspects Umar Jibrin Also Known as ‘Abacha’ m’ 27 year old an indigene of Bauchi state, residing at Ashige Lafia East Development Area of Nasarawa State, lured his victim Larauwa Sale to the outskirt of Lafia metropolis in mile Uku Jos road, drugged and left him to his fate and zoomed off with his motorcycle. He sold the motorcycle to Alh. Samaila and the rate of 200,000 naira. The chains of other buyers include Mr. Kanming Maigari, Mr. Bala Ishaka, Mr. Ali Adamu, Mr. Suleiman Ibrahim and Mr. Luka Chirowa who bought the deceased machine at different times, for 340,000, 350,000, 460,000, 520,000 and 530,000 naira respectively.

The recovery of the remains of the commercial motorcycle operator further underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgent need to address the issue of motorcycle snatching in Nasarawa State. It is a tragic reminder of the human cost of such criminal activities and highlights the importance of eradicating them.

In furtherance of continual war against any act of criminality, the Command was able to arrest one Hauwa Adamu 29yrs resident of Kukan Bissa, Lafia Nasarawa State for impersonation and rituals related offence.

She was arrested by the staff of Lafia East Primary Health Care in the labour room. She claimed that one Abubakar Isa 30yrs who is in our custoday residing at Kilema instructed her to fetch the blood of a pregnant woman during child birth, she disguise her self and went into the labour room, where she was apprehended by the nurse on duty.

The State Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt has condemned this monstrous, atrocious and dastardly act in it's totality urge residence to be more vigilant in, within and around their environment.

Investigation is ongoing, after which they will be transfer to the Ministry of Justice for necessary prosecution.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, recently made a significant achievement in the fight against cultism by arresting over 21 cultists in the different location in Lafia the State Capital. The operation, which was carried out by the gallant men of the Command, after credible information was received about their nefarious activities in the state, which lead to the dead of one Mr. Musa at Rimi-Uku Doma road in Lafia, on Sunday 12th November, 2023 by suspected cultist.
The State Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammad msgt, deployed men of the intelligence department across the nooks and crannies of Lafia metropolis with the sole purpose of smoking and fishing out these criminals, whose activities in recent times is worrisome as residents no longer sleep with their eyes close.
In his words, ‘Cultism has been a major concern in Nigeria, with its negative impact on the society, especially among young people. Cult groups often engage in various criminal activities, such as violence, robbery, drug trafficking, and even murder. These activities pose a serious threat to the safety and well-being of individuals and the communities, the NSCDC in Nasarawa State Command will not rest until these criminals are apprehended and face full wrath of the law, he said.
This recent arrests made by the gallant men of the NSCDC in Nasarawa State demonstrate our commitment to tackling this issue head-on. Through intelligence gathering and strategic operations, our men were able to identify and apprehend members of different cult groups in Lafia the state capital.
Nasarawa State is bordered by States that have cases of cultism and other social vises, which they find and easy path in trans-border crimes and criminality, the NSCDC will not allow this trend to continue, any body found wanting will face the wrath of the law no matter how highly place in the society.
This successful operation has been attributed to the dedication and professionalism of the officers involved. The arrested cultists are currently in custody and will face the full weight of the law. This will send a strong message to other cult groups and potential recruits that their activities will not be tolerated in the state. It also serves as a deterrent to those who might consider engaging in cult-related activities, the NSCDC Boss vowed.
In addition to the arrests, the NSCDC in Nasarawa State has also intensified its efforts to prevent and mitigate cult activities. We have increased our patrols in vulnerable areas, conducted awareness campaigns, and collaborated with other stakeholders, such as schools, religious and community leaders, to discourage involvement in cultism.
The NSCDC's efforts in combating cultism will not develop cold feet as the command is strategizing new methods to mitigate the reoccurrences of identified crimes, this will play a crucial role in maintaining peace and security in Nasarawa State. However, it is important to recognize that eradicating cultism requires a multi-faceted approach, he said.
The recent arrests made by the Command in Nasarawa State provide hope for a safer and more secure environment for the residents; arrested suspects will be charged to court and prosecuted accordingly. The quest to reduce crime and criminal activities in the state continues and the NSCDC will not relent in her efforts to stamp out cultism in Nasarawa state. In his words I want residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals that may threaten their security, he concluded.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command, apprehended Five serial rapists in Nasarawa Eggon and Awe Local government area of Nasarawa State.

The suspects, (1) Benjamin Taimako m' 19 years old SS3 Student who hail from Angwan Jarumai, behind Luka Hospital, raped and defile 7 years old victim (Name withheld), (2)Mallam Abdulwahab Bello Sambo m' an Islamic teacher with one of the Islamic School in Nasarawa Eggon raped and defile a 13 years old girl (Name withheld), and (3) John Ishaku 15 years old m' residing at Angwan Angibe, who raped and defile an 8 years old girl (name withheld), all from Nasarawa Eggon Local government of Nasarawa State.

In the same vein, the Command also arrested one Mohammed Abubakar Usman m' 19yrs Mechanic apprentice who hail from Angwan Galadima, Layin Alugudu, and one Umar Usman m' 20yrs Carpenter from Gidan Chiroma, Layin Chunkus all from Awe Local government area of Nasarawa State.

The suspect, Benjamin Taimako who admitted to have used some substance before the act for money rituals.

While addressing newsmen at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital, the State *Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* who spoke through the Command's Public Relations Officer *DSC Jerry Victor,* said, the Nasarawa Eggon Divisional Officer, SC Okpanachi Joseph arrested Benjamin Taimako, Abdulwahab Bello Sambo and John Ishaku in Nasarawa Eggon local government area of Nasarawa State after the matter was reported to the Divisional Office.

Furthermore, Mohammed Abubakar Usman and Umar Usman were apprehended after the victims reported the matter to their caretaker who inturn reported it to the Awe Divisional Office of the NSCDC.

The victims (names withheld) who are all 16yrs, narrated how the suspects came to their compound around 3am with flashlights, sticks and knife took them forcefully to an uncompleted building assaulted and raped them. Mohammed Abubakar Yahaya was wearing a camouflage military inner wear which he use to instill fear to his victim.

All victims, were taken to a government approved Hospital for general medical examinations.

The suspects attested to the crime and pleaded for mercy.

They will be charge to competent court of jurisdiction for prosecution.

The State Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* extolled the Men of Nasarawa Eggon and Awe Divisional Officers for a job well done, he charge other officers to emulate same.

Show utmost sincerity, kindness and professionalism in discharging of your mandate, he said.

The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, have rescue a 9yr old Esther Hassan at Feferuwa Village, Lafia East Development Area of the State.

The victim was seen wondering and puzzling around, and subsequently slept under a mango tree but was rescue from the area my the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Fefe-Ruwa Division, as the area has been a flash point for kidnappers and other crimes in the area.

While addressing press men at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital, the State Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt,* who spoke through the Public Relations Officer, *DSC Jerry Victor* said, the victim was brought to the department of Anti-Human trafficking of the command. He advice parents and guardians to be wary of the movement of their children and wards, so as not to give the unscrupulous elements chance to perpetrate their evil plan.

The victim, was who was very happy at the sight of her mother, has since reunited to her Parents, witnessed by Safiya and Afodia of the marketing department of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS).

Her Mother, Rukaiya Mu'azu expressed and extolled the State Commandant for rescuing her daughter.

In his words, 'The whereabout of your children and wards should be of great important and concern, at this perilous times, we should be guarded. As the Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Nasarawa State, will not leave any stone unturned to reduce crime to it's bearest minimum in the state.

The NSCDC Boss, adviced the criminals in the state to desist from crime as this will take them nowhere and of arrested will face the full wrath of the law.

The Commandant General's Special Intelligence Squad have arrested for suspects on the 14th August 2023, at about 1030hrs and a DAF trailer truck conveying large quantities of vandalized rail tracks concealed in scrap iron, along Lafia - Akwanga express road, in Sabon Pegi, Shabu Lafia North Development Area of Nasarawa State.

This was made possible after a reliable and credible intelligence received about the content of the said truck, undercovers was swiftly deployed and their activities were keenly monitored until they were intercepted.

The Commander of the Squad, *DCC Dandaura Apolos* said, this syndicate paraded and disguised themselves as scavengers and scrab dealers to perpetrate this heinous crime. The government have invested heavily in making this infrastructure work for the citizenry, but the bad eggs amongst us always sabotage the efforts of the government, as one of the core mandates of the Corps is to protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in the country, the squad will not relents in her efforts to fight to standstill the economic saboteurs in the country, he concluded.

While addressing pressmen at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital, the Commandant who spoke through the Public Relations Officer, *DSC Jerry Victor* said, the Command through the Lionheart of the Head of Legal Unit *ACC Ike F. Ugochukkwu esq,* have again secure the conviction of one Mohammed Awwalu Musa for three (3) years who vandalized railway rails worth over Forty five Million, Four Hundred Thousand (N45,400,000) at Moro village in Akwanga Local government area of the State.

This was after the Command have gain verdict in her favour for the forfeiture of a trailer and also a Blue/white Bus loaded with vandalized railways materials ruled in Federal High Court seated in Lafia. Also , the Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has in the past three (3) months Mediate and resolved over 115 various civil cases to the optimum satisfaction of the parties involved, thereby, decongesting the court rooms within the state, with 98 unresolved and 18 pending cases.

Addressing NewsMen at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the State Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt, who spoke through the Public Relations Officer DSC Jerry Victor, said the vandalized railway materials includes various components such as rails, sleepers, ballast, and other materials was intercepted by the gallant men of the Anti-Vandal and Intelligence Units in various locations within the State.

The NSCDC Boss, extolled the bravery and gallantry performance of the men of the command for this remarkable achievements over the years. In his words "Criminal elements who derive joy in sabotaging the efforts of the government will be not be spared". As the leading agency in protection of National Critical Assets and Infrastructure, the NSCDC will not relents in it's efforts to fish out government saboteurs in the country.

Receiving the items, the Regional District Manager of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), North Central District, with it headquarters in Kafanchan, Kaduna state, Mr. Austen Ashibekong, thanked the Commandant for showing unique prowess and impressive dexterity in service delivery. In his words “Nasarawa state can relatively be considered one of the most peaceful states in the federation, this is attributed to a combination of factors, but in no small measures, to the approach of the state government to security issues.”


The NSCDC boss states that, in order to support government’s effort to open up the state to the world, to attract investment, the NSCDC has been very active in, but not limited to the following areas of security management in the state.
Agriculture, Solid Minerals and most recently petroleum; the Agro Rangers are formed to take care of all disputes emanating from headers and farmers’ clash. To tackle the incessant case of kidnapping along Lafia-Akwanga-Keffi road, Pin-Down are located in some of the strategic areas along the major high ways.

The participants are drawn from thirty-five (35) Agencies in Nigeria as well as four (4) African countries, The Gambia, Niger, Chad and Rwanda.

The gallant men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State, has arrested over 12 suspects for various crimes in Lafia metropolis.

The Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* decried the incessant cases of child molestation, rape and defilement in the State, despite the various methods used by the Command to mitigate this ugly trend ravaging our society.

He mentioned that, different and stringent method and approach will be adopted to stamp out its reoccurrence.

It is the right of every girl child to be protected, the NSCDC Boss said.

The victim, (Name Witheld) 4yrs f' who hailed from Angwan Magaji along Emir Palace Lafia, was seen crying profusely with blood stain all over her, when accosted by her mother she narrated what happened.

The suspect, Ibrahim Hashimu 18yrs m' was immediately apprehended and brought to NSCDC office for questioning, he agreed committing the henious crime and pleaded for mercy.

In the same vein, 3 suspects Yakubu Ossan 55yrs m', Mustapha Ibrahim 24yrs m' a scrap Dealer and Hussain Yakubu 21yrs an Okada rider, were arrested by the men of the Anti-Vandal squad in collaboration with the men of the Nasarawa Eggon Division for vandalizing 33 kV high tension cable, in Mada Station, Nasarawa Eggon Local government area of Nasarawa State.

The prime suspect Yakubu Ossan, diverted the said cables when heavy rain destroyed over 10 poles, that were meant to be taken to the house of the District head for safe keeping, in Mada Station.

One Aisha Saidu 22yrs f' and her brother in-law (still atlarge) was arrested for Grievious Battery and Assaulting her step children in Lafia. Bruises were seen all over the victims who were rushed to a medical facility for medical attention.

Investigation is on-going after which the suspects will be charge to competent court of jurisdiction for prosecution.

The NSCDC Boss, called on the good people of Nasarawa State as well as parent and gudiance, to make the movement and whereabout of their children and wards especially the female gender there topmost priority.

Members of the public need to be vigilant and and be conscious of their environment, they should report any suspecious movement within and around there vicinity to any security agencies closer to them.

The Nasarawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abbas Bappa Muhammed, msgt, received with great shock, the news of attack on the Head of News, Breeze FM Lafia, Mr. Edwin Philip at Polling Unit 016, Chiroma Ward, in Lafia Local Government Council, during the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections by some personnel of the Nasarawa State command who were on a routine patrol and monitoring of election processes within the Lafia metropolis.

Commandant Bappa condemned this act in its totality, as it is not a true reflection of the character and attributes of the Command's personnel. He vowed to investigate the incident to fish out the perpetrators of the attack on the journalist.

He harped on the need for officers and men of the command to exhibit high standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, "Officers and men have been repeatedly briefed on the need for good public conduct at all times and especially during the election, therefore, anyone who violate this order will be liable to punishment.

The State Commandant had directed that the injured journalist be immediately given medical attention with a promise to settle all bills incurred in order to avoid any health complications.

He promised the media community that he will leave no stone unturned in unraveling those behind this shameful act.

The Command wishes to apologise to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Council and the general public, assuring that such an incidence will not repeat itself.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Nasarawa State Command has arrested five (5) suspects for engaging in homosexuality, in Doma and Lafia Local government areas of the state.

The suspects Mohammed Mutawakil 'm' 17yrs, Allu Patrick 'm' 28yrs, Muhammed Zanwa 'm' 28yrs, Ali Abubakar Abati 'm' 28yra and Shuaibu Yusuf 28yrs, were apprehended from different time and locations within Doma and Lafia Local government area of the state.

Upon interrogation they all admitted to have been indulging in this dastardly act for some years now before the law caught up with them in one of their hideout in Doma Local government area.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Nasarawa State Command, has arrested one Mallam Salisu Abubakar 35yrs for maltreating, Molesting and abusing his pupils in Sangaya Goni Maikanike Islamic school in Adogi, Lafia East Development Area of the state.

The State Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* while parading the suspect at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the Commandant who spoke through the Public Relations Officer of the Corps, *DSC Jerry Victor* frowned at the incident, in his words, it is disheartening to see people who are suppose to be role models to this children, ends up to be their nightmare, this barbaric act will not be allowed in Nasarawa State under my watch, he said.

This is a fore warning to all religious teachers, across the state, no one is above the law, if anyone is found wanting they should be ready to dance to the music of the law.


The NSCDC, in Nasarawa State will not and cannot developed cold feet and is ever ready to mitigate crime and criminality in the state.

The Victims Abudulhakimu Yibu 12yrs and Aliyu Sanusi 9yrs who hails from Maikwarya local government area of Katsina state, told their stories in tears and promised never to go back to the school again, we are treated like animals, we are sent to beg for food and if we are unlucky we will be flog with either rod or stick, they narrated.

The NSCDC boss, call on parents and guardians to take the education and health of their children and wards seriously, the well being of their children should be their top most priority. The Commandant General's Special Intelligence Squad has arrested two who specialize in Kidnapping, banditry and Cattle rustling terroriszing, Akiri, Azara Namu and Quan'pan, areas of Nasarawa, Taraba and Plateau States respectively.

The gallant men of the Special intelligence Squad, swung into action after receiving and verifying credible information about the activities of bandits, kidnapping and incessant cattle rustling in the aforementioned areas.

The suspect Abdullahi Laru Abubakar confessed to have called on his gang member simply identified as Umar, Duware and Ango (still at-large) all from Kwande area to rustle 10 cattle belonging to one Alhaji Sule Yamusa aka 'Alh. Amo', of Akiri area in Azara Development Area in Awe local government area of Nasarawa State, whom they succeeded to a Shimankar village in Quan'pan local government area of Plateau State. He said.

The second suspect
Danlami Ahmadu 40 years from Angwan Kurmi Kwande district of Quan'pan local government area of Plateau State was arrested for receiving four (4) rustled cattle from Duware one of the gang member. He confessed to have conveyed the cattle to Gidan Maiwa in Bauchi were he sold 2 for N440,000.

Investigation is ongoing when concluded they will be charge to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution, he concluded.

Following zero tolerant to crime and criminality in Nasarawa State, declared by the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Nasarawa State Command, *Comdt Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* in Lafia recently, the Command has arrested one Muhammed Hussaini 18yrs m' who reside at Shendam road, Lafia, for armed robbery.

While parading the suspect at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the State Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* who spoke through the Public Relations Officer *DSC Jerry Victor* said, the suspect, Mohammed Hussaini and his gang attacked some boys rearing cattle behind City Hall, in Lafia Nasarawa state with a locally fabricated pistol, but he fled the scene when he and his gang were overpowered by the boys, leaving his pistol.

The owner of the cattle reported the case to the Command Headquarters in Lafia on the 17th of August, 2022.

The suspect was on the wanted list of the intelligence, until he was arrested on Monday 26th September, 2022.

He will be handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Nasarawa State Command for further Investigation and prosecution, as he was on their wanted list too for a crime he committed sometimes ago.

The suspect have confessed to the crime and pleaded for leniency. He attributed it to the handy work of the devil.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command, has arrested three suspects for rape and defilement.

While parading the suspects at the State Headquarters of the NSCDC in Lafia, the State Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* who spoke through the Public Relations Officer *DSC Jerry Victor* said the suspects were arrested in different location in Lafia. The suspects Haruna Abdullahi 39yrs m' who hail from Tudun Kofa in Lafia and Dauda Muhammed 35yrs m' who hail from Dawakin local government area of Kano state but resides in Tudun Kofa, Lafia Nasarawa state, confessed to have raped Ramatu Dahiru, 13 year old at his house, in Tudun Kofa Lafia.

It is disheartening to know that the suspect Dauda Mohammed is a friend to the victim's father, he said.

The victim Ramatu Dahiru told news men that the friend to her father called her to his place, she went to him, thinking he wanted sending her on an errand, unknown to her he has a devilish plan awaits her.

In the same vein, the command paraded a 20year old Haruna Mohammed for raping, defiling and impregnating Sa'adatu Mohammed (Not real name) a 13 year old in Laying Kaji, Lafia Nasarawa State.

The suspect have confessed to have committed the act and promised to marry the underage girl.

The suspects will be charged to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution.

The suspects Ikiraman Surajo 20yrs m' an ex-convict and Mohammed Sani 21yrs m' were arrested with the stolen items, which includes but not limited to LG LCD Television set, Bedsheets, they confessed to the crime and attributed it to the handy work of the devil.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command, has arrested a fake soldier in Keffi-Wambai in Lafia Local government area of Nasarawa.

While parading the suspect at the State Headquarters of the NSCDC in Lafia, the State Commandant *Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt* who spoke through the Public Relations Officer *DSC Jerry Victor* said the suspect was arrested based on the tip-off made available by the member of the public and a victim to the suspect.

He said the suspect was arrested by the gallant men of the Command on the 9th September, 2022 at about 1700hrs in Keffi- Wambai, the suspect who is an indigene of Bakin Ayini, in Kokona local government area of Nasarawa State, was caught with various items that belongs to the military, these items include: No1 Dress, 1 set of Camouflage, P-Cap Tie, Military inner vest, surfiscated and poisonous Jack-knife and a motorcycle he allegedly stole from one of his victim.

The suspect, confessed that some of the items were sold to him by one LCPL Gabriel serving in Maiduguri, Borno State and LCPL Daniel serving in Calabar, Cross-River state who he claimed are serving military personnel.

The suspect, Moses Ayaka 32yrs confessed to have defrauded over 22 individual amounting to N440,000.

He has pleaded for leniency as he attribute this to the hand work of the devil.

The suspect will be charge to competent court of jurisdiction for prosecution after investigation is concluded. He said.

He call on the good people of Nasarawa State to be security concious, and report any suspected movement in and around their vicinity, to any Security agencies closer to them, he concluded.
