*_NSCDC ARRESTS 47 SUSPECTED FOREIGN NATIONALS IN NASARAWA STATE_*

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, under the amiable leadership of *_Commandant Brah Samson Umoru_* has arrested 47 suspected foreign nationals, comprising 15 females and 32 males, in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The suspects, who claimed to be from Mali, were found in a building in the Kudnawi II area, of Orange Market.

The arrest was made possible after a tip-off about the suspected foreigners living within the vicinity, immediately action was taken and investigation was launched, which led to the arrest of the individuals. The suspects confessed to entering Nigeria through Ghana and had been living in the area for almost a month, claiming to be involved in network marketing known as Qnet.

The NSCDC worked with the Nigeria Forest Security Services, vigilante groups, community leaders, and market associations to facilitate the arrest and transfer of the suspects.

The individuals were later handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS), and subsequently to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for profiling and further action.

The NSCDC remains committed to ensuring the security and safety of lives and property in Nasarawa State and will continue to work with other security agencies to address issues of foreign nationals engaging in unauthorized activities.

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, *Commandant Brah Samson Umoru,* has inaugurated 300 operatives of the Agro Rangers and Commandant's Crack Squad, at the Command Headquarters, in Lafia, the State Capital.

In his address during the inauguration ceremony, *Commandant Brah* emphasized that the establishment of the squads is a strategic step aimed at boosting the Command’s operational capacity to effectively tackle security challenges in the state. He noted that the Agro Rangers will focus on protecting farmers, herders, farmlands, and the entire agricultural value chain, thereby contributing to food security and rural safety, while the Crack Squad will serve as a rapid response unit.

He charged the newly inaugurated personnel to exhibit discipline, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

In a deliberate effort to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and deepen operational synergy among security agencies in Nasarawa State, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa state Command, *Commandant Brah Samson Umoru,* on Tuesday, paid separate courtesy visits to the Commissioner of Police, *CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed,* the Commanding Officer, 22 Quick Response Wing, Nigerian Airforce, *Wing Commander MA Idris* and the State Director, Department of State Services (DSS), *Usman Ibrahim Biu, fsi, DIS* in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

Brah Samson Umoru,_* was among dignitaries who graced the swearing-in ceremony performed by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, *_Engr. Abdullahi A. In a determined effort to bolster compliance with mining rules and regulations across Nasarawa State, the Solid Minerals and Development Unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, convened a high-level strategic meeting with the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nasarawa State Chapter.

The Department of Private Guard Companies (PGCs) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, today convened its second quarter strategic meeting with the _Association of Licensed Private Guard Companies of Nigeria, Nasarawa State Chapter._

The meeting was held at the State Command Headquarters in Lafia.

Parading suspects for various crimes at the Command Headquarters in Lafia the state capital, the Commandant who spoke thought the Command's Public Relation Officer *DSC Jerry Victor* stated that four (4) notorious Motorcycle syndicate were arrested by the gallant men of the NSCDC, Nasarawa State Command as the suspect lured their victims to a secluded area along Wakwa Road in Lafia the state capital and snatched his motorcycle using long plated knife as their weapon to scare their victim.

The suspects: Abdulmumuni Musa 20yrs 'M' from Kwandere Lafia North Development Area, Abdul Umar 18yrs from Lungun Wambai Lafia, Isa Yakubu 28yrs from Yam Zone, and Musa Abdullahi 22yrs, the gang leader who have confessed to have killed his victim in a separate operation.

The NSCDC will in a crack operations continue disrupting motorcycle syndicates and their illegal activities, ensuring the safety of motorcycle owners in the state.

Three (3) suspects were arrested for burglary and theft, highlighting the Command's efforts to combat property crime and protect citizens' belongings.

The suspects; Abdulhamid Hussain 20yrs, Yusuf Mohammed 19yrs and Adamu Usman 24yrs all from Tudun Kwashi village in Lafia the state Capital, the suspects have confessed to have broken into the house of one Hamza Ahmed and stole the total sum of One Million Ninety Thousand Naira only, (1,090,000).


One individual Dahiru Salisu 40yrs from Katsina state but resides in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area of the state, was taken into custody for attempting to kidnap a Pastor (Name withheld ), and fraudulently collected the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira from his victim (200,000). This is demonstrating the Command's proactive approach to preventing and investigating serious crimes.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command, has arrested four suspects for burglary, theft, and possession of illicit drugs.

The suspects; Amad Abubakar, 24yrs, Stephen Ikechukwu Onochi 30yrs, Ibrahim Ismaila 24yrs and Rabiu Haruna 26yrs.

Parading the suspects at the Command’s Headquarters in Lafia, the state Capital the Commandant, *MK Ingawa* who spoke through the Command’s Public Relations Officer *DSC Jerry Victor* said, the suspects, were arrested by the gallant men of Ruga Madaki 1 Division of the NSCDC on night patrol, on 9th December, 2024, at about 2300hrs.

The suspects were found in possession of stolen goods, including Two Phones, stun gun, over 20 parcels of wrapped cannabis sativa (Indian Hemp), 2 pair of scissors, chemical embedded drug also known as Ice, Bunch of Keys, Torch Light and other illicit drugs.

According to the spokesman, the suspects were arrested following a tip-off from a concerned citizen. The Corps has warned that it will not tolerate any form of criminal activity in the state and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that those who engage in such activities are brought to justice.

*Comdt., MK Ingawa* has also appealed to members of the public to continue to provide useful information that can aid in the arrest and prosecution of criminals.

In another development, the Command under the amiable leadership of *Comdt., MK Ingawa* has arrested one Dahiru Isiaka 19yrs male from Ungwan Gayam in Lafia LGA of the state for Bulglary and theft. The suspect burgled an electronic shop along Doma road in Lafia and carted away a bundle of “Lagos style” cable, a bundle of 2.5mm cable and other valuables.

Again, one Habu Dogo 51yrs male, was arrested for Raping and impregnating his 16 years old niece, in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.

Investigations are ongoing, after which the sudpects will be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction for possible prosecution.

The State Commandant *MK Ingawa* said the NSCDC in its uncompromising status will not, and will never relent in her efforts of eradicating crimes and criminality in the state. He gave a stern warning to the criminal element to repent to a new leave or relocate from the state. He urged the public to be security conscious and report any suspected movements or activities to the nearest security agency.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command today honored Deputy Commandant Jeremiah Daniel Oteikwu with a pulling out parade, marking the end of his illustrious career in the service. This ceremonial event celebrates his dedication and commitment to serving the nation.
The parade, held at the NSCDC Nasarawa State Command Headquarters in Lafia the State Capital, featured a series of activities, including a ceremonial parade, tribute, and recognition of Deputy Commandant Oteikwu's contributions to the NSCDC. In his farewell address the Commandant NSCDC Nasarawa Satet *Commandant MK Ingawa,* ably represented by the 2/ic of the Command, *Deputy Commandant John Joseph Efere JP* extolled the bravery, commitment and exemplary leadership celebrant. He said, “This marks the end of an illustrious career, and we are proud to celebrate *Deputy Commandant Jeremiah Daniel Oteikwu’s* remarkable journey”. As we bid you farewell we also remember your unwavering commitment, unshakeable courage, and selfless service. In a grand ceremony, *Commandant Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa* of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command, alongside Commissioner of Police *Umar Shehu Nadada,* and other Heads of Security agencies decorated 228 promoted NSCDC officers in Nasarawa state.

This milestone marks a significant achievement for the Corps and demonstrates its commitment to recognizing excellence and dedication among its personnel.

*Commandant Ingawa* in his welcoming speech, emphasized the importance of hard work, loyalty, and discipline in achieving success within the Corps. He urged the promoted officers to continue demonstrating exceptional leadership and professionalism in their duties. The Commandant also reiterated the NSCDC's mission to safeguard lives, properties, and critical infrastructure across Nasarawa State.

In his words, this Decoration of 228 Promoted Officers is a testament of the Corps' dedication to recognizing and rewarding outstanding service amongst it's personnel.

12 Assistant Commandant of Corps, were promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandant of Corps, 18 Chief Superintendent of Corps were promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps. Others are 21 Superintendent to Chief Superintendent, 43 Deputy Superintendents to Superintendent, 51 Assistant Superintendent of Corps I to Deputy Superintendent, 57 Assistant Superintendent of Corps II and 26 Inspector of Corps to Assistant Superintendent of Corps II.
