Seven people are reported to have been killed in a military plane crash in Egypt after the aircraft suffered a “technical failure.”



The aircraft involved is understood to have been a reconnaissance plane, an aircraft involved in military operations, Sky News Arabia reports.



American peacekeepers are alleged to have been onboard the flight, but this has not been confirmed by authorities.



The crash is said to have taken place in South Sinai.



Sky News Arabia tweeted: “Our correspondent in Cairo: American peacekeepers were wounded in South Sinai, after a reconnaissance plane fell due to a technical failure.”

Barcelona legend, Samuel Eto’o has been hospitalized with a minor head injury after being involved in a car crash in his native Cameroon.



The 39-year old was traveling home from a family wedding celebration when his car is reported to have been struck by a public bus on the Nkongsamba-Douala Road on Sunday morning, November 8.



He reportedly suffered a head injury and was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.



Cameroonian journalist Martin Camus tweeted a picture of Eto’o’s damaged vehicle alongside the caption: “The crushed car Samuel Eto’o was in.

“I can confirm that he is fine, we spoke again. Doctors taking care of additional examinations.”

The Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, on Sunday paid a sympathy visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu, at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos.

Gambari was accompanied on the trip to the ex-Lagos governor’s residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, by some ministers from the South-West part of the country.

The president’s chief of staff and the ministers had earlier held a meeting with governors of the six South-West states and traditional rulers on the security situation in the region following the mayhem that trailed last month #EndSARSprotests in many parts of the country.

Lagos State police officers rescued a woman and her kids when they found them stranded in the middle of the night.



According to the Lagos State Police Command, the woman was seen around Funso Williams Avenue at about 1:15 am on Friday, November 6.



Her battery was flat so the officers helped jump-start the vehicle and followed her to be sure she was OK. Along the way, the petrol in her car finished and the officers said they assisted her with petrol before escorting her to a safe spot.

A Nigerian man has narrated how he stopped the police from freeing a suspected pedophile because the mother of the child was unable to ‘pay money to register the case’.

The campaign of United States President, Donald Trump, said on Wednesday it had asked a court to suspend the counting of votes in the pivotal state of Michigan, where his Democratic Party rival, Joe Biden, holds a thin lead.

Jigawa State Governor, Muhammad Badaru, on Wednesday presented the 2021 budget proposal of N156.58 billion for the state’s House of Assembly.

The budget was tagged: “Budget of Sustained Economic Growth and Social Transformation-Meeting the Next Level Agenda II.”

Badaru said the budget was higher than the 2020 Original and Revised Budgets by 2.4 percent and 29 percent respectively.

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, on Wednesday directed security agencies to be ruthless with bandits terrorizing the state.

Operatives attached to Ketu Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested five suspected traffic robbers.



Spokesperson of the command, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday, October 13, said machineries have been set in motion to go after traffic robbers who harass and rob innocent Lagosians in the traffic within the state.

A Nigerian man has been jailed for 40 years in the UK for murdering a mother-of-nine and her nephew in north London in September 2016.



28-year-old Obinna Ezeoke was sentenced on Thursday, October 1, 2020.



Obina Ezeoke was convicted in September 2020 after an unprecedented five trials in four years for shooting dead 53-year-old Annie Ekofo and her 21-year-old nephew, psychology student Bervil Ekofo.at their home in East Finchley.



According to prosecutors, Obinna, said to be a drug dealer, crept into Mrs Ekofo’s home just after dawn with intent to kill a target of gang revenge.



On hearing a noise in the house, Bervil, a student and nephew staying with Mrs Ekofo, went to investigate and was shot at close range.

A woman who was accused of slashing her step daughter’s face with razor blade in Warri, Delta State, shared her own side of the story on Thursday, October 1.



It was gathered that the incident happened few days ago at N0 10 Okoro Close in Ugborikoko, Warri South. The step mother is said to be married to the victim’s father for many years without a child.

Stray bullet has killed a middle-aged man, Atanda Idowu Moses inside his shop at Oja Odan in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.



It was learnt that the incident happened during a clash between men of the Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun Area Command and some hoodlums suspected to be smugglers on Saturday.

A man was left with a broken head after police officers reportedly broke into his home in Abraka, Delta, to arrest him.



The 27-year-old man named Kelvin Ilom, was arrested by a team allegedly led by Corporal Godspower, activist Harrison Gwamnishu reports. According to Gwamnishu, the man was beaten by the officers beause he asked to see a warrant for his arrest.
