The term ‘Medicinal Marijuana’ refers to using the unprocessed plant in its entirety to treat a disease or symptom. Today, the drug isn’t recognized as a medicine by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but the FDA has approved two medications that contain cannabinoid chemicals. THC and CBD are two cannabinoids of medical interest. THC increases appetite, reduces nausea, and decreases pain inflammation and muscle control control problems. CBD doesn’t affect the mind or behavior.

Perak Mufti Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria said that men can always have sexual intercourse with their spouses even if the latter do not agree, saying that a Muslim woman has “no right” to reject her husband’s demand.

“So there’s no such thing as rape in marriage. This is made by European people, why should we follow?” he told Malay Mail Online when contacted yesterday as he cited the hadith or reported teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
Harussani claimed that Europe itself did not regard women highly before creating the concept of marital rape after the 18th century when Europeans came into contact with the Muslims and were attempting to improve Islamic laws.
According to Harussani, a woman’s agreement to marry will be sought when her father gives her away to a man in marriage. Subsequently, she can only refuse her husband sex if she is menstruating, sick, or has just given birth, he said.
“Once she got married, the dowry is paid, she can’t refuse unless when she’s [on her] period,” he said, saying that the Quran clearly states that it will be “haram” or forbidden to have a sexual intercourse with a woman who is menstruating.
Independent Muslim preacher Wan Ji Wan Hussin said that rape is defined in Islam as an act between two unmarried individuals.
“That term (marital rape) is not accurate in the practice of Islam because rape in Islam is defined as forced sexual intercourse outside of marriage,” he told Malay Mail Online when contacted yesterday.
While stating that husbands cannot force their wives to have sex, he said the key issue is not about getting consent, but revolves around how men can show love and create a romantic atmosphere to change their spouses’ minds to willingly agree to sexual intercourse.
“That means if the husband does not seek consent, it cannot be considered rape, but that action is considered not polite (beradab) in Islam,” he said, adding that it would not be considered “haram” or sinful, but would be “ makruh ” or frowned upon by Islam.
Wan Ji said women have the right to refuse sex when they are either sick, menstruating or old, insisting that men having sex in such cases are considered sinful.
During the fasting month for Muslims, both men and women are not allowed to have sexual intercourse and wives must reject such requests by their husbands, he said.
Women may opt to either turn down their husbands’ requests or cancel their fast during optional and additional fasting days, he said, adding that women can even refuse sexual intercourse if they are in a bad mood or were exhausted from work.
Both Harussani and Wan Ji said that using violence to force a wife to have sexual intercourse would be clearly criminal, with the former saying that the wife can call the police or a religious judge as it would be an offence in both the civil and Shariah legal systems.
Wan Ji said the use of actual violence would fall under the “ qisas ” system of Islamic offences that would allow retributive punishments, explaining that the threat to harm a wife would not be an offence but would be considered a sin as it could affect her emotions.
In Malaysia, marital rape is not a legal offence, but a husband may be prosecuted and imprisoned up to five years for forcing his wife to have sex by threatening violence or by harming her.

Pornhub Is Raising $3.4 Million to Film the First Sex Tape in Space

Like YouTube before it, the NSFW streaming-video behemoth Pornhub is edging toward the original content arena. For Pornhub, it means crowdfunding $3.4 million to send two porn stars into space to learn about the solar system and explore new worlds.

The colossal video site announced Wednesday it's raising money for the first sex tape filmed in space. About $2 million will go toward room on a commercial spaceflight and the six months of training necessary to turn actors Eva Lovia and Johnny Sin into temporary astronauts.
"The training is going to be rigorous," Lovia told Mic via email. "Johnny and I have to be physically prepared for take-off and landing, be well-versed in the proper safety precautions, master science and space technology information, undergo gravity simulations, etc. It's extensive, it's long and it's going to be a complete undertaking."

According to the Indiegogo campaign overview, the mission — beyond creating porn — is to do its part in researching the aspects of life in space that might not be observed by a crew of traditional astronauts.
"Pornhub," the campaign page says, "is teaming up with top-ranking adult studio Digital Playground in joining the ranks of [Neil] Armstrong and [Russian cosmonaut Yuri] Gagarin by pioneering a one of a kind mission to defy gravity, make history, and push the boundaries of intergalactic 'Sexploration.'"

An Iraqi law that forces children of Christian converts to be legally recognized as Muslims will lead to Christianity’s extinction, says Bishop Rabban al-Qas.
Al-Qas, the senior Catholic Bishop in the Dohuk area of Iraqi Kurdistan, has spoken out against the Iraqi parliament’s rejection of an amendment to a law that forces children who have one parent who converted from Islam to be automatically considered a Muslim upon birth.
The Bishop asserts that the law discriminates against Christians and other religious minorities and doesn’t give the child the ability to eventually choose his or her own faith. The changing of one’s religious affiliation can be a difficult task considering accusations of apostasy, a serious offense under Islamic law, are generally hurled around when someone converts.
Christian legislators proposed an amendment to the law that would have given children the ability to choose their religious affiliation once they reach the age of 18, which prevents them from automatically being labeled as a Muslim against their will.
Although the measure received backing from members of a number of political parties and religious groups, the measure failed miserably when it came time for a vote. Only 51 members voted in favor of the amendment, while 137 members voted against it.
Al-Qas recently spoke with Asia News and explained that the parliament’s failure to amend the law will have serious “repercussions in Kurdistan,” which has not yet been affected by the legislation.
“Once it was possible to change religion at the age of 18,” al-Qas explained. “Now that is outlawed. This is a serious decision by the government in Baghdad behind which one finds fanatical groups and extremist groups that did their utmost to ensure that parliament would reject the amendment.”
With the rise of the barbaric Islamic State terrorist organization having driven hundreds of thousands of Iraqi Christians and other religious minorities from their homes and out of the country, al-Qas feels that the law that imposes Islam on children of converts only further promotes the idea that non-Muslims are not welcome in Iraq.
“We are facing a genocide in a country that knows only death and liberticidal laws,” al-Qas asserted, adding that there is “neither freedom nor respect” in Iraq.
Al-Qas, who along with his priests provide humanitarian support to Christian refugees from Mosul who have been pushed out of their homes by IS, added that the law only encourages the remaining Christians to leave the country. He said the law will accelerate the process of Christianity’s extinction from the biblical region.
“It is not just a political project. There are also traces of an Islam that wants to eliminate minorities — a faith that prevents you from coming back or change if you are Muslim. If you change your religion, it will be forever. Such a mentality has nothing that is human,” al-Qas asserted. “Not only have they taken homes and property from Christians, but now they also want to take their willpower, hope, freedom of religion and freedom to choose for the future.”
Earlier in the week, Canon Andrew White, who was the only Anglican vicar in Iraq before he fled the country after his life was threatened by IS, told Christian Today that the persecution being faced by Iraqi Christians today is the worst ordeal Christians in Iraq have ever had to endure.

Humans began speaking 50,000-100,000 years ago, and the “oral tradition” has molded societies for millennia.
That is a lot of time to perfect our influencing skills, but somehow all but the most accomplished still struggle at influencing the masses with their speech.
There are, of course, a fair few notable examples. Socrates, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and Winston Churchill to name but a few.
They captivated their audiences with their every word. They had the most intangible of personality traits: charisma.
It didn’t matter how many people they were speaking to; their speeches were such that you felt that they were addressed to every single individual.
Their effortless style was underpinned by a finely-tuned (and barely perceptible) technique that allowed them to put their audience under their spell.
Their every movement acted in tandem with their words and every appearance was a multi-dimensional feast for the senses of the audience.
In my view, there are four aspects of every charismatic speaker. With lots of practice and a bit of initial self-confidence, any one of us can become one.

They create an emotional connection.
The perception of the audience is all that matters. It doesn’t matter how many times you have practiced the speech on front of the mirror or what your colleagues think of the message. Unless you create an emotional connection with your audience, the message will fall short.
The audience is naturally sympathetic — they are there to learn, to be inspired, or to join you on your journey. They are open to building a relationship with you, so it is vital that you connect with them from the moment you enter the room.
A warm smile is usually a good place to start!
The best speakers use the emotional range of their voice to take the audience on a journey with them. When they express joy, surprise, pride, concern, fear, hope or any other emotion, they seek to elicit the same emotional response from their listeners.
They perfect the mechanics of speech.
Speaking well is about pacing your words and ideas, being expressive with your tone at the right moments, and learning to breathe properly to have the power to deliver your message.
Allowing your audience to pause at the right moments in any speech is crucial. The best orators vary the pace of their speech and give the audience time to digest their ideas while anticipating what might be next.
Few people can listen and think at the same time. The power of truly impactful speaking comes from your silences.
The tone of your voice has subtleties you don’t even realize. Being able to control your voice and insert the right hints of emotion at the right times will ensure that your audience is in no doubt as to your message. When your body language is congruent with your speech, you will naturally find the right tone.
When you speak, you require a greater volume of air to deliver your message. How many times have you heard people trail off at the end of the sentence when they should actually be emphasizing their point? It is often the case that the most important words and concepts come at the end of sentences. Breathe deeply with your diaphragm and you will have the “puff” to deliver those lines with aplomb.
The speaker's body matches his or her words.
When there is a disconnect between what someone is saying and how he or she is saying it, we automatically feel uncomfortable.
When positive language meets defensive body language, alarm bells start to ring — is the speaker being sincere? When passionate language is accompanied by a static pose, we wonder if the speaker is truly that excited.
When you speak to an audience, move when your language compels you to move. Use gestures to accentuate your language rather than draw attention from it. Give your audience hints as to how they will be feeling with your facial expressions, and they will soon get onto your wavelength.

In essence, your project topic and the material you produce should be captivating. It should have the magical power to draw people’s interest, and achieve good grades for you.
Your ability to come up with an interesting and good research project topic is your first step in building an 'A' in Research Methodology. Fantastic research papers in Nigeria do not fall from heaven. They come about as a result of serious brainstorming mixed with great fun. Anyways in my little experience as an independent researcher, I do not entirely agree that developing a project topic should be too tasking. I rather see it as fun. When you are about to write a research project, the first skill you should have in order to get the best out of your project is your fun skills-What interest you? Throughout your stay in lecture rooms from semester one to the end, you should be able to identify that very topic or course you enjoy so much.
If you are a final year student in Nigeria, and you are eager to develop an outstanding research topic you should at least follow these few steps.
1. Think of a research area that is of great interest to you.
2. Brainstorm on possible subjects, titles and topics that could come out of the research area.
3. Narrow down the topic to a specific issue.
4. Look for trending issues in Nigeria.
5. Ensure there is adequate material for the study.
6. Take a time out to structure your topic properly.
Get a Research Area
The first step in developing outstanding research topics is by identifying a research area that interests you. Successful researchers align their work to their research area or interest. By doing this, you become an expert in your chosen research area, and your previous research papers become foundation for future research studies. Look for Trending issues
One secret about outstanding researchers is that they are always solving current issues on ground. When new issues such as bank recapitalization in Nigeria and fuel subsidy arise, research topics and materials on them sell like pure water. When you present a research topic on a current issue that needs urgent attention in a country like Nigeria, your supervisor is happy with you. When defending it, you are assured of a good grade because, you are not only presenting a unique work, but you are also solving an urgent problem and building literature for that issue as well.
However, when developing research topics to suite trending issues in your country, you must be very careful. Writing on very current issues can get you hanging. Availability of materials to support your literature review-both theoretical and empirical review becomes a big challenge. If you're going to learn anything, you need two kinds of prior knowledge:
• Knowledge about the subject at hand, like math, history, or programming
• Knowledge about how learning actually works
The bad news: Our education system kind of skips one of them, which is problematic, given that your ability to learn is such a huge predictor of success in life, from achieving in academics to getting ahead at work. It all requires mastering skill after skill.

Force yourself to recall.

It's simple, though not easy, to take advantage of this: Force yourself to recall a fact. Flashcards are a great ally in this, since they force you to supply answers.
Don't fall for fluency.
When you're reading something and it feels easy, what you're experiencing is fluency .
It'll only get you in trouble.
Example: Say, for instance, you're at the airport and you're trying to remember which gate your flight to Chicago is waiting for you at. You look at the terminal monitors — it's B44. You think to yourself, Oh, B44, that's easy . Then you walk away, idly check your phone, and instantly forget where you're going.
The alternative: You read the gate number. Then you turn away from the monitor and ask yourself, What's the gate? If you can recall that it's B44, you're good to go.
Connect the new thing to the old things.
"The more you can explain about the way your new learning relates to prior knowledge," the " Make It Stick " authors write, "the stronger your grasp of the new learning will be, and the more connections you create that will help you remember it later."
