do you mean we are automatically on the waiting queue if you uploaded some documents even without the Sponsorship letter or blocked account? i do not think so, someone posted on WhatsApp group, she uploaded her SL, then the website says you are now in the waiting queue, without that if you uploaded other documents i think you are not in the queue yet, i stand to be corrected, thou under the documents section i saw discard application request, does that mean someone is in their waiting list? @Hannania Hannania: You do this to beat time. This way you join the waiting list. When they ask you to send for preliminary review, you have to add your BA or SL else they worn check other documents |

someone said if you haven't upload block account you are not yet on the waiting queue PhilexOG: Yeah I know that. But you are still in the queue at that point waiting for your documents review. I have uploaded everything except the block account proof and heath insurance, I’m waiting to move to the document review stage before I would then do those ones. Atleast that’s what I understand from this thread |

Aa skilled applicant, do we also need to prove employment details? Hannania: If you're using a point based system, you'll be asked to bring proof of employment from your employer |

hi, did you click the document section? you did not upload any document yet? i think when you register immediately you can upload PhilexOG: Hi Sorry out of curiosity, when you say you are in the stage of submitting supporting documents, does it mean the embassy has contacted you ? Or you are just uploading the documents prior to getting contacted ?
when did you register on the portal. I’m asking because I want to get a rough idea of what the timeline for mine would be. I registered sometime mid February and I’m yet to be contacted. |

Click on it, it will load a page that shows if it complies, that is what they wanna see, you can save as pdf and upload it to your document section Daniel2802: Okay, so I should just screenshot the Anabin page that lists my degree just like this and upload on the online portal right? |
Travel › Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by victorygiven: 4:52pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
your degree is listed is enough not important to be listed under your university Daniel2802: Hello and thanks to you all for making and contributing to this thread. This is something I am considering and I want to go for it.
The online portal says this;
"The German Mission is currently very busy The estimated waiting time is: approx. 2-6 months."
As ZAB (My university and and degree are both listed but the degree isn't listed under my university) takes about 4 months now, do I wait to have it before I upload my supporting documents or can I submit my visa application and then submit the individual Certificate Evaluation by ZAB later?
The portal says I fulfil the requirement based on the questionnaire I filled out. I have a Computer Science degree and about 5 years of working experience. Is there anything I should have in mind? |

Thanks , what about the birth certificate, can i use certificate of registration of Birth? it shows both my parents name, or i should use Affidavit of Declaration of Age which i got from the High Court Hannania: Original primary cert and either WAEC or NECO. No need for junior WAEC. Stop bothering yourself with all these. When you upload they'll give you an update on changes. So stop stressing.
For your information, the waiting time has increased to 6 months currently |

if we apply for ZAB, how soon will they ask us to pay? Hannania: You can go and apply, while doing ZAB if you have the means. If they don't accept it, atleast tour have ZAB in waiting |

hmmn thanks for the info jackman87: this depends on if the sponsor is married and the number of children he or she has.
minimum is about 2,400 euro.
my sponsor has to pay €2000 euro additionally with his payslip to be able to apply. |

Please how do a sponsor book appointment in the first place? my sponsor said you cannot just walk in bcoz it's a big city Hannania: Its always difficult in big cities. There's noting he can but to wait. Unless you have another sponsor in a smaller city |

Please did you mean my own international passport page ? my sponsor said can he message the office for appointment? or is it possible to walk in without appointment? apart from the 29 Euro what other documents can he take along? his passport? pls help thanks for you do here SIR @Hannania Hannania: You don't buy SL. You ask someone you're related with or a friend to issue it to you. He or she walks into the ausländerbehörde in his/her city and they'll request for payslips, house contract, residence permit and insurance etc. they'll now determine the creditworthiness of the sponsor and issue it. They need your international passport page for this. It cost the sponsor just €29 |

Sir, i never doubted it, the reason i asked is for me to screenshot this and send it to them, i know it's not a scam because we are applying on official German Consulate portal, by God's grace i will make it in Germany in Jesus name AMEN......pls try to understand we are on this platform to help each other in the right way and i really do appreciate you always and i really understand you thanks Hannania: There are people in Germany who are asylum seekers or illegal migrants who don't know shit!! You can't go to Germany legally via work, study or job seeker visa(Former name of the opportunity card) and claim this is scam.
I strongly advise you change your circle of "friends". Those people you asked are the sort of people who have not made any thing meaningful with their lives, and even if you go to Deutschland, they'll give you same advise that made them fail.
I personally know more than 4 people who got the opportunity card visa. People going for studies visa can also tell you how little the number is for those who come for opportunity card.
Something that's been announced since last year nationally in Germany, and your so called friends don't know about? That's pathetic!!!!
For you to even doubt a visa that's on the German consulate, I don't think you can make it in Germany. Please look into UK or Italy. Germany is a meticulous country. If such basic details gives you headache, trust me you'll suffer in this nation. Goodluck |

i've done that i even asked chatGPT and it said it's not a scam u3fine: Are you referring to the Asylum seekers in Germany who don't know what happening and living on 200 Euro monthly? Is the Opportunity Card meant for only Nigerians?
Please use Google search and YouTube to research the opportunity card and make your conclusion. |

I asked 2 people in Germany about the opportunity card visa they said it's a scam, they told me have i met any Nigerian who was given the VISA? i told them the website to apply for it is official german consular portal still they argued that it's not real and that they will later ask me for money, i am confused here, is Germany Opportunity Card real? have any Nigerian gone for the interview before and given Visa? i will appreciate all comments and links to prove it's real, i need to send it to those people in Germany, they said if it's real they will know that they are living there. Information is power |

BECE is Junior WAEC Chaigogo22: You will need to do an authentic affidavit for change of name for your birth certificate. Also if you were born before December 1992 and have an NPC birth certificate (the green coloured one), they would likely reject it and ask you to do a declaration of age, backed by your parent or a family member older with 15 years. |

no experience yet i just finished training and seeking jobs online pls do you think i should change it? i have experiences in teaching so if i change it to teacher, i know it's regulated will they ask me for German language certificate? or i will undergo further training in Germany? or let me put jobs in my field that doesn't need regulation, kindly advice thanks Hannania: Hmmm, that means your don't have experience in tech. Pray hard then. |
Travel › Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by victorygiven: 3:26pm On Feb 24, 2025 |
i have Tech Skills, i did training and i have my certificate to prove it , what other proof should i include? will they ask me questions about it on interview day? or do i need to include my portfolio? in my field of study i have many jobs career i can do with my certificate not necessarily teaching, the reason i want to go for tech is they don't regulate it and you need to speak German to work in tech field, do you think i should write another job instead of tech? i can work in education institution, healthcare, sports, fitness centers etc. Hannania: Apply for ZAB while submitting the one you have. When they ask for changes, show them the portal for ZAB application and how long. There are people waiting for over 4 months now with no reply from ZAB.
Remember you're going as a skilled worker to look for Job In your Field. If you don't have the tech skills already, it's a disaster for rejection. Make sure your CV and motivation letter states your skills, experience and the kind of Job your qualify for. |

hmmmn ,i fully understand you, my course carries two names in Nigeria, it's called Human Kinetics and Health Education in all universities, but on Anabin i only see Health Education can i use that? will they know it's same course? my certificate only shows Human Kinectics 2) can i write Teacher as my learned occupation and put a tech job as my future job in Germany? i know teacher is regulated so i am not going there to teach, i will work in Tech field Hannania: If your studied B.Sc computer science, it's not the same as B.Ed computer science. They won't accept it. It's not about the university in Germany, but the legal framework of chancenkarte. Please understand Germans are meticulous.
If you know the degree you have is not stated explicitly on anabin under your school, or under degree search, you might just waste your time.
I know a guy who was asked to go get ZAB and was given a deadline of 1 week or his application will be deleted, it's not even possible. Now he has been tagged as In-eligible on the portal.
So do this:
1. Make sure your school is H+ 2. Your degree(MBBS, B.Eng, B.Sc, B.Tech etc) should be available under the degree search and have the name of your course. Else, they'll ask you for ZAB. |
Travel › Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by victorygiven: 2:29pm On Feb 24, 2025 |
honestly that waiting period is too much, i read a post on fb the person got ZAB in 1 month but he is not a Nigerian he said it depend on how many applications they are currently reviewing so if we apply now we might be lucky not to wait for 3 months dgee1: Yeah, I understand you. I have the same issue: my school is listed as H+ but my degree isn't listed. From what I read having one's degree listed as H+ on Anabim is important, so it's a bit confusing. Of course the 208 Euros is much, but my main concern is the 3 months wait period to do the ZAB process. |
