.... Fine but should we now let down our guard? If we do, who suffers the consequence? That is my point. Screaming scam, corruption, audio, shifts the focus away from the reality on ground.

There are many other deadly diseases more than corona that has been in Nigeria and we have learnt to live with overtime.
Even the so called figures that NCDC are releasing should be more than that, because almost everyone has the corona now and many have recovered from it.
They should open up the country so we can go about our normal lives.

On a normal note how many deaths does Nigeria record every year? Both from flu and some other diseases?

They should give us the remaining figures so we can rest.

No one has said the government has handled this pandemic perfectly. And can you name ONE government in the whole wide world that has handled this pandemic perfectly? Is there any one thing that this government has handled perfectly that the issue of Covid-19 should be an exception? Wise ones who believe this pandemic is real here are not necessarily saying the handling of it has been excellent. But to continue to focus on the shortcomings of the government to preach recklessness is as dangerous as the pandemic itself.
Look, whether or not you like it, we all are right now at a stage where everyone must take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. The government is already aware that people no longer care. And if not that they too would be affected they simply would have thrown everything open, whatever you get you take.
When you come to a public forum to begin to stress on government's poor handling of the pandemic, you are unknowingly shifting focus aware from the danger which the pandemic poses to everyone especially the vulnerable. That is my pain; that is the pain of all sane people who are genuinely concerned.
I have said it again and again, African rulers do not need Covid-19 to empty the treasury, they can do that without Covid-19 if they want to. Mention ONE sector that is completely devoid of corruption and we can continue the debate.

They don’t need it , but then again It is one of those opportunities that comes up, they have to utilize it and they’re doing so.

The snake located your motorcycle because it needed heat to regulate body temperature, and the part of your motorcycle where you found it is the best place to absorb that heat comfortably.

Nothing out of the ordinary here

where did I say that . That's like saying nothing should be done about something killing people just because people die 'normally '

The virus that they claim is here in Nigeria is not even as deadly as the media portrayed it.
It Was blown way out of proportion.

These people could be having malaria and then recovering after some treatment, if not then tell me how they’re able to discharge Corona patients when there’s no medication or treatment for it.

We’re already fed up with these numbers , things should get back to normal

There’s nothing we can do about the numbers , they should just open up the country since most people are recovering from the sickness.
The disease is not as deadly as they claim , we can live with it , we’re already doing so, it is now like a norm , we get sick we recover, we go back to hustling.

Our equipments are made to detect the virus with high accuracy but low speed.

If a cancer patient who is in terminal stage gets the virus, don't you think the virus will finish the person off? The immune system is already down. Also if a person dies, the issue is not to increase statistics but to find out if the person had covid and whether to isolate the families

So can we say it’s the same as someone suffering from cancer and then gets infected with malaria, then later dies

Schools should remain closed. We're not ready, yet.

How many people are obeying the guidelines placed after the lock down was eased?

Nose masks? How many people still wear them?

Social distancing? How many people practice that? Just go to the market.

...and some of you are saying schools should be opened for children?

No! We're not ready.

Deadly virus , Half of the Nigerian population have died.

There was a time that 1000 people died per day in the UK. Google Ecuador covid pictures and see corpses outside in the street. Before a death is ruled as covid, they'll take samples and do test. This will help them to know whether to test the relatives of the person or not.

So if a sample shows that someone has covid19 and then died of cancer , they’ll still tag it a Covid 19 death.
How sure are that the equipment ain’t already made to positive results

Don't you think that increased community spread will lead to higher cases? We are even going slow due to the test methods were using.

Was that why all of a Sudden 31 deaths here in Nigeria, and weren’t not even sure what killed them , or aren’t people dying normally from other illness or diseases?

Only these people know where they are getting their number of cases and death.
