bitcoin is not a business but a currency, just like the naira, pound or dollar.

It's what You choose to invest it in that is the business. There are lots of different investment schemes that utilizes bitcoin as a means of exchange/payment. Although the bitcoin can also increase or decrease (regardless of whether You invest or not) as the value is very fluid.(That is what my comment is about on the thread You quoted)

The above comment is my little understanding/experience on bitcoin & not a fact.
