Seunpaul01: Saw The Mist everyone was talking about. An incredible piece.

Got me thinking about the effect of religion. It a very powerful weapon on humans mind. Maybe the story of Adam, Eve, the garden of Eden, one powerful voice creating all things was all a tale, lies created by human to control other human mind.
Fear can make people do alot of shit. The guy eventually succumb to the believe that it was the end of days. He gave in to the woman crazy beliefs that their end have come. It would be better they take it themselves than to be eaten by monsters. That religious woman was supposed to be a Nigerian. Because she perfectly portrayed how Nigerians carry religion on their heads. |

Martinez39: My mum's house was recently completed, though it was supposed to be a family house but it's structured to be four apartments so that she could rent it out to tenants. One of the apartment has about four to six boys (three stay there regularly, while the rest come from time to time). These boys just graduated last year and since their undergraduate days till now, they have been earning cool cash, leaving fly, and paying their rent. They also keep changing girls anyhow.
My mum and I reasoned their case and pondered if they were yahoo boys or not. These guys just recently bought a new car. It seems being righteous in this country and making it is like using a canoe to go from Nigeria to America while being rugged and willing to take the illegal path if need be is like using an airplane instead. This life, this country. Nigeria has been structurally wired to reward criminality. Is it not the same country that pays and still continues to pay N65,000 to "Ex- militants"? Imagine collecting N65,000 for doing absolutely nothing! Yet they struggle to pay legit workers the minimum wage.
Whenever I read news of a VIP being kidnapped I have this smile on my face. Majority are graduates with no hope. Leaving this country is a must for me in 2020, so help me God. |

TheGoodJoe: I am not involved and not planning to get involved in evil. I have a conscience and I respect it.
I am okay if I do not blow like E-Money tomorrow. I just want a good life for me and my family. Be able to give them good shelter, clothing and feeding. Provide good education for them.
If I blow tomorrow, thank God. If I don't, no beef. I will still keep working for success.
However, the so called karma talk is punnany. Karma is a b1*ch because it is bullshit. What good can someone do to equate cutting short the life of a brilliant innovative mind like Dele Giwa? What of Vatsa?
Looting is made evil. People get to die in hospitals because of lack of Medicare. See our soldiers in the front line fighting Boko Haram with little supplies. While the funds for their upkeep gets looted.
Babangida is a good example of the fact Karma is a b1*ch. All your writing there shows Karma is truly confused, if drug dealers live lavishly and their children lavish the fruit of their crimes.
Look at Jay-Z who made it off crime and toasts to it. Your post really got me I had to quote it twice.
90% of Nigerians just want a simple life. A life they can provide for their average family - food, shelter, good health, very average education, that's all. Nothing extravagant. They don't need 30 million naira.
A good percentage of Nigerians won't see 5 million naira before they die. According to a recent CBN statistics, only about 10-20% of Nigerians have above N100,000 in their bank accounts. |

I have a very frightening theory. If you hear it... Let me stop there.
Either way, I believe good still wins but it takes patience, perseverance and sacrifice. The only thing keeping some of us on the good lane is our conscience. |

TheGoodJoe: You are not alone on this ship. Worst part is when you see people who do worse succeeding.
Maman J. Vasta who was the good friend got killed by his best friend who became one of the richest Nigerians, Babangida and still alive today.
We have seen corrupt government officials siphon Billions of Naira and send their kids to some of the best schools in the World, set up luxurious assets and hand to their kids. While the kids of innocent and hardworking folks struggle to survive.
At the end, you decide what you want. Thinking about it means you are considering it. However, you need to look harder around you and find hustles that will pay you. You might not get to their level but you can have a simple nice life.
At the end, we will not go to the grave with all the luxury. Let it pass. Give your hustle the best shot. Reinvest in it and grow. There are numerous things to do. Just pick one, focus on it and grow slowly.
At the end, not all of us are built to live on the fast lane. Sometimes I begin to doubt karma exists. I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that karma is just another 'feel good' pill for the poor. |

TheGoodJoe: A nonviolent revolution is a revolution using mostly campaigns with civil resistance, including various forms of nonviolent protest, to bring about the departure of governments seen as entrenched and authoritarian.
While many campaigns of civil resistance are intended for much more limited goals than revolution, generally a nonviolent revolution is characterized by simultaneous advocacy of democracy, human rights, and national independence in the country concerned.

They suffered heavy casualties with our men mopping up on foot When will the military ever going to be on the offensive side instead of waiting to be attacked, then allow the terrorists to retreat only for the cycle to start again? |
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Attacks Parts Of Yobe by Viking007(m): 10:01am On Dec 23, 2019 |
InvertedHammer: / The main concern is to know who is giving the order to repel Boko Haram attacks but not to engage them.
They attack and retreat only to resurface again. There is no call up of air support to bomb them to oblivion on their patrol back to their base.
The military chiefs are the sponsors of Boko Haram. That's all.
/ God bless you! They ALWAYS allow them to "retreat". This only happens in a jungle with hopeless military. And this has been the case for almost 13yrs. BHT will attack and retreat, should the Nigerian Army manage to "engage" , you just see 2-3 dead terrorists. That's all. |
