Hello does anyone have an idea about the naira - dollar auction platform where those in USA pay your merchant, once your merchant confirms receipt, you then pay the US person in naira? I learnt the rate is far cheaper and because they cant easily get the fund to Nigeria, they opt for that option of paying someone in USA and getting naira value in Nigerian account.

Incase you are not aware, there are more than 5 NSEMPA WhatsApp groups where the members discuss and strategize on stocks before announcing it here.
So no one is going to tell you the stocks they are buying until they have gotten their fill and are ready to dump on you.

My take is:

1. Do not borrow money to invest
2. Search for company with Good fundamentals over the years
3. Research the company for future developments
4. Time your entry ( buy when the stock starts to advance)
5. Time your exit.

From my experience if you buy good company at almost the turn of the year you always make a decent gain before the results and if the result is good you are in for good money.

For now I buy Dangote Sugar. ( cheap, market leader, good dividends over the years, great future plans)
