stephanie11: A group of Nigerians 'mobilized' to the Eagle Square, Abuja to pray for 'President Muhammadu Buhari and the peace of the country' have accused the organizers, the National youth council of Nigeria, of not settling them with the promised 'incentives'.
PoliticsNGR learned that the group grounded a vehicle belonging to the chairman of the Taraba state chapter of the NYCN, Emma George. They believe George 'pocketed' money earmarked to settle them after the 'prayer exercise'.
One of them was heard saying; "We were mobilized from far places, Keffi, Mararaba, and we started the prayer 9 O’clock and till now we have not eaten any thing."
We can’t even go home because we all brought other people. We were promised N1,500 each but Emma George from Taraba pocketed our money. So, we heard they wanted to hold a meeting here (Chelsea Hotel), we then decided to come. We didn’t see him but we seized the car from his driver.”
The aggrieved "prayer warriors" said they would take the vehicle to Mararaba.“Is that how to move Nigeria forward? Money meant for many people was taken by one person,” queried another person, Arume. They revealed that the prayer at the Eagles Square had the support of the president's wife, Aisha Buhari. http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/09/people-hired-pray-buhari-fight-organizers-payment/
Can Nigeria ever be like that ?
No, they have missed the opportunity because very soon Biafra will go.
When Biafra go they will not have money and human capital to develop Nigeria.
sammyotukoya: One of Nigeria's top social media influencers, Unilag olodo was Harrassed by security members of the Mega chicken just because he was taking pictures of the food he was about to eat. In the Video he stated;
THE UNFAIR TREATMENT METED OUT ON CUSTOMERS BY MEGA CHICKEN. . So foodie like myself that's been starving all evening made a video of the food while deciding what to order at Mega Chicken Ikota and the security came asking me to delete it. . I found it very annoying and refused. Dude went to call MOPOL on top my matter and caused a scene, seizing, insisting I open, and almost breaking my phone. . I've basically spent too much money on these people and endured their useless services (especially lack of available delivery staff) over the years so this really pissed me off. . So my people, help me understand and make sense of what just happened o. .
Questions: 1. Is it an offence to take pictures now at fast foods? (Aren't fast foods public places?) .
2. Were the MOPOL right to check my phone (my private property) looking for picture I took? .
3. While making a LIVE VIDEO (which was posted anyway) the MOPOL grabbed my iPhone 7, almost broke it while wrestling it from me. Is this RIGHT? .
4. DOES MEGA CHICKEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO HARASS CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY NEVER PUT ANY NOTICE PROHIBITING USE OF MOBILE PHONES IN THEIR PREMISES? .
5. What will be done about the public humiliation I endured and the stress on my sister who has a headache right now as a result while people were gathered around as if I stole food? . Pretty much questions I need answers to because no theft was committed, no intellectual property abuse, no sign stating its “NO CAMERA” Policy. So I'll know if this is how we'll be doing o
jpphilips: Majority of igbos based on which statistics? Videos of ignorant traders on rampage or the igbo drug dealers in diaspora sponsoring their movement, bros you have no idea what the majority really thinks.
If you truly know that the majority of Igbos are not in support of Biafra why not conduct a referendum so that the issue of Biafra will die.
But you are scared because you know once the referendum is conducted the majority will vote in favour of Biafra.
Igboblog: Popular Writer, Chimamanda Adichie has finally debunked a rumour which says that she is a Biafran. Chimamanda Adichie who debunked the rumour through her Facebook page has this to say... Read below This headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites: are false. They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me. I did not say or write those words. -CNA.
OkunrinMeta: A better strategy would be to vote for Nnamdi Kanu and his compatriots as Governors in all the Southeast. That is the wise thing to do unless the people of the southeast are not really in support of the biafran movement.
Why can't you do without Igbos ? We are tired of one Nigeria.
Adminisher: You are unstoppable but Nigeria is indivisible so all I see is bloodshed and misery for your generation. Some of you will waste your entire lives fighting and Nigeria still won't divide .
indivisible?
Remember there is God who don't tolerate injustice over his children.
Let me ask you,
What gives you confidence that Nigeria is indivisible ?
OkunrinMeta: My point is the marginalization you complained of happened to the the Yoruba people in the previous administrations where none of the top 5-8 people in power was Yoruba. Did we go violent? No. Instead, we spoke through the ballot box. That is what I advise you do instead of calling for division
Why the Yoruba didn't complain is that, they were the last president of the country as at then, they ruled Nigeria for eight good years so there is no need to complain, because they benefited so such in OBJ regime.
If they complain people will see them as ingrate, and greedy set of people that's why they kept quiet.
Let me ask you a question.
Why is Nigerians always portrays Igbos are the problem of this country instead of the northerners ?
