Dear family, I'm looking for a rental in South east/west Edmonton from the 1st of March. Two bedrooms. Anyone who has a contact or any advice on how to go about this would be appreciated.
Thank you

You can check Tamarack Heights in South East Edmonton. It's a new complex and they should still have lots of vacant suites available. It's opposite Walmart, close to Superstore and other amenities. Also very close to the transit center.

Hello everyone, please I need your inputs regarding the below.
I am Canadian PR and have lived 7 months in Canada. I want to apply for visitor's visa for my mum.
I have a full time job and my account balance is about $5,000 CAD.
My mum on the other hand is a primary school teacher and earns 30k monthly with no travel history.

What can I do to increase her chances of getting a visitor visa as I need her to come for omugwo by June July?

In your letter of invitation, state that yourself and your partner are both inviting your mum to visit as your partner is pregnant. You are inviting your mum as she would provide support after child birth. Also state that all expenses would be taken care of by yourself and your spouse. State your annual income as well as that of your partner, attach your recent payslip as well as that of your partner, if possible attach your PR cards to the application. In your letter, the length of her stay shouldn't be for longer than a month or two as that would coincide with when primary schools in Nigeria are on vacation.

In addition, get a letter from your partner's doctor stating when your partner is due and also that you would require your mum's presence to support your partner during her delivery and the first stages of postpartum.

Your mum can also get a letter from her employer stating where she works and the fact that she would return to work after her visit when school resumes. This shows ties to Nigeria

Hope this helps. All the best

Pls do u mean I have to open a chequing account first before being offered the credit card (for RBC)? I'm only interested in their credit cards (for the pecks) but not their accounts because I learnt Canadian savings/chequing accounts come with a monthly fee so my plan is to open savings/current account with the online banks like tangerine. If I can walk in and get just the credit card alone then I'll go for it.

I doubt any bank would give you a credit card if you are not an existing customer. Simplii (a division of CIBC) currently has an offer of $200 when you open a no fee chequing account ( terms and conditions apply). They also have credit cards

Where did you get this info from? How can you say it is illegal to pay for sex in Canada?Aren't you aware that there many places that house commercial sex workers in various cities across Canada.

There are websites where people link up with prostitutes for sex.

Kindly stop making Canada look less attractive to fun lovers.

That those houses/websites exists doesn't make it legal. Before you dispute his claim, you can do a simple search on the internet.

Find screenshots below of relevant portions of the law

Quick question, Can people with visitor visa travel through Amsterdam? secondly, how did you pay for the test. Cash or Card. This is because i heard there is limit to debit card in Nigeria, i think they said $100 monthly or so.

I believe anyone with a valid visa can travel through Amsterdam as far as it's just a layover.
Payment is either with cash or credit card. I paid with my RBC credit card

You are right. Infact, if i suggest that to my mama, she will reject it...lol.....I know she's definitely gonna see fellow Nigerians coming to canada on her day of travelling. KLM flight would have been very good to calgary but with the whole compulsory Covid-19 test issue in Amsterdam and PR people having to wait for almost 12 hrs to get the result before they can even hop on the flight to Calgary, i wonder what they will subject people who are just mere visitors, let alone the stress for an old woman travelling for the first time.

If you use test to fly in Amsterdam, results can be gotten in less than 2hrs but be willing to pay more for it. I had to pay €239
