Dont mind Cosplay o, the auction site (or wherever he bought it from) did not provide VIN to be seller when he was buying so why would he provide VIN now. The Op called the auction site to request for the VIN.

So since he bought it like that; he has to sell like that too.

Stating the current mileage in the advert would be a plus but is not absolutely necessary. Seller cannot hide mileage from a buyer at inspection.

The entire principle of this campaign rests on the seller providing enough information for a buyer to research a vehicle history and discover it's past.
And other details about the vehicle that may be hidden by the seller.

Of course a seller cannot hide current mileage. If the mileage has been rolled back, after a buyer has researched about this vehicle and has discovered the true mileage, if he inspects and the mileage is lower he would immediately know is it had been tampered with.

I mentioned to you before on another advert where you made some false claims that this is evidence based.

Do you have evidence that this particular vehicle mileage was rolled back? If you did then I would be the first to back your actions up and berate the seller for that criminal activity.

I have not mentioned that the mileage was not altered, my point is, there has to be evidence of wrongdoing. If he had stated mileage 77k or something similar, then you would be justified.

My position on acceptable disclosure has been clearly outlined in previous posts.

I did not say this particular vehicle is altered, I only made a general statement that is common occurrence, reason I made it bracket.

I stand by my position that every material fact known to the dealer should be disclosed. One of the major material fact in a vehicle transaction is mileage, the interpretation is left for the buyer to make.

I do not think there is anywhere in the world a vehicle is advertised without the mileage provided by the dealer.

However, everything is always different in Nigeria but Nigerians - you, I, the dealer & everyone - wants Nigeria to be like other places.

He has provided the VIN, he has not made any false claims, and the vehicle is not flooded.

Every material fact must be disclosed.

I neither said he made any false claim(s) nor that the vehicle is flooded.

But still needed to provide full details of the car.
VIN,
Accident history,
Mileage,
Purchase photo before repairs,
Title Information.

Full disclosure entails all these info and more.
The dealer was provided all these info before he/she bought it so why not disclose in the advert when selling as well.

Every detailed info and fact must be provided.

1. Don't make false statements or accusations about vehicles. This vehicle did have a collision but the airbags weren't involved.

2. Learn the meanings of these terms. Clean Title and Clear title may seem similar but are two very different terms with different meanings.

Certificate of destruction is a very specific title. Not all salvage vehicles have certificates of destruction issues. This vehicle has no certificate of destruction.

To be clear, this is a Salvaged Vehicle with the Odometer tampered with.

Those are the facts.
