Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Foreign Debt Service Costs Surge By 96% To $2.19 Billion By May 2024 by viqSmallz(m): 9:15am On Sep 20
And the world bank just approved another loan for NG. Tell me what we are using the loans for. To buy another jet or for his croonies to embezzle. The people in government are not only daft but selfish retards.

Every day I go out, one person is either begging for food or money. Nigerians are suffering. You can see it on their faces, and they have been defeated mentally.
These guys have thrown Nigeria into a pit. APC has no clue about running a country. No ideology. No pattern.
We are being run like a local trade union—an NURTW kind of thing. There is no genius idea, due process, process improvement, or performance management—just vibes and chops.

Nigeria is a failed state, it only takes Warlord to survive here. You carve out your own territory and exerts your authority over there . Yahaya Bello has carved out Kogi state as his territory and he is ruling there. You can only invite him to a table for dialogue not arrest,Wike is trying all to hold Rivers state he has carved out for himself, IPOB is trying to hold down South East for themselves even though their Leader is indisposed now, People like Asari Dokubo, Tompolo are carving out their own Turf in Niger Delta areas, Boko Haram and Bandit Leaders are creating their own kingdom in the North. You either create your territory or pledge allegiance to major Warlord or become a loyal subject to any of the Warlords. Ladies and Gentlemen this is Nigeria

Haha, how Monday even became Senator is one we should look into, APC had someone like John Inegbedion and other educated people.

You now say Asue should start from councillorship. A Chairman of a bank. Lets argue reasonably.
I know you are a party loyalist, but reflect and see if Monday is good enough to be your Governor

Iran always trying to fight a war she can never win. Never to be seen on the popular side.
These two failing states will get what they ask for.
Its hypocritical for Iran to back Russia and back Palestine at the same time. Russia is fighting to dominate Ukraine, while Palestine is fighting to be free from Israel

Hopefully people who invest in this reaps their benefits.
Hopefully the common man who needs this get it and it isn't given to friends and allies who in turn sell at exorbitant rates.
Hopefully this is spread across the federation.
So many things to hope for. Even good news is now taken with a pinch. May God help us

I dont know why people expected so much from this government. A candidate who couldn't come out to tell us what he would do? Ran away from every debate.
A candidate that was licking the microphone on stage when asked to test it? A candidate with irregularities around him? His cronies have all been accused of one financial fraud or the other. A candidate who his henchmen clearly polarise our unity.

And we expect anything good from him.

K0y3:
I understand you but you don't seem to understand me. I agree with you that you need to generate a lot for you to distribute a lot. You see with BEDC this is not the case.

Let's take Lagos as a case study. Before the introduction of band A tariff, electricity distribution was a problem but the IKEDC improved it's distribution infrastructure. Now, almost everywhere unders IKEDC is on band A and having at least 21hrs a day if not 24hrs. In fact my place at magodo had light 2 weeks without interruption, same with my workplace at Gowon estate, iyana paja.

Can this be said about BEDC? I'm from Ondo state which is under BEDC. There is no city, town, settlement or street on band A. You know why? Distribution infrastructure is very poor or not available in some places. I think same goes with Edo state and some parts of Delta state.

I don't doubt there might be distribution issues, but what we currently generate as a country will not be enough even if distributed without waste. That's why the first solution to electricity is to generate more. In every production process there must be wastage but how do you counter that you minimise it and produce more.
Ikedc probably had high paying tariff customers than bedc so definitely they will.be considered first

I will help the guy viqSmallz to reply to this your gibberish.
Now follow me to this short journey.
There are three stages in power or electricity production.
1. Generation
2. Transmission and
3. Distribution
The most difficult and problematic of all the three stages is number 2, TRANSMISSION.
You know why? Because volume of kilowatt of electricity is loss on the way. You can generate 100kw of power but able to transmit just 15 to 20kw. Do you also know that the 15 to 20kw transmitted will also not get to the final consumers because of energy loss during distribution and other environmental factors.
Government are generating a lot of energy but transmission has been a lot of problem that will face as a nation. Hence, for any government to give and ensure 24hrs electricity supply:
1. It Must generate a lot of energy, kw
2. It must ensure effective transmission of the energy for conservation.
In a nutshell, distribution is the least problem of provision of 24hrs electricity to the people because if you don't generate and transmit enough, what would you distribute?
You people must know the question asked. How to give 24hrs electricity to the people? Transformer and poles would not give 24hrs electricity to the people if there is no enough energy generated and transmitted.
That APC governorship candidate scores owned goal.

Leave that guy. He has comprehension problems

You don't seem to understand what is going on. Edo state is under BEDC which as a distribution company rejects electricity from the Gencos. The candidate is actually right, if he provides transformers and poles likewise the aluminium conductor cables, BEDC will be able to distribute electricity more efficiently.

My only disagreement with this arrangement is the fact that BEDC is a private company and why should the government provide infrastructure which they ought to have provided.

By submission this shows the Apc candidate is actually very close to the people for him to have know this basic and simple fact.

No I think you missed the question. The question was how would he ensure 247 power in Edo as promised?
We know you have to generate first before distributing. How many MW is Edo state generating? That’s the first call. You generate a lot you will distribute a lot.

DeOTR:

I guess we now have an alternative to transformers and poles in the business of power distribution?
If you're half as clever as you want us to believe you would know the last leg of power distribution is equally as important as the first leg.
If you had any bit of an idea about our power problem, maybe you would have known that even the little power we generated isn't being 100% utilized.
If your brain is not rusty, you should known that many communities have been in darkness for years because of transformers and poles or do you think Governors build power plants when they talk about electrification?
I'm sure you don't have light right now because your transformer is overpowered.
We've been enjoying 23hours of power supply on the monthly average since the beginning of this year and all we had to do was to buy more transformers, share the loads and link new buildings, but this idiot thinks transformer is not important in the scheme of things.
Your goofy ass should ask people who knows why 30% of the little power we generate is not being utilized.

That’s why I don’t like conversing here, no content just insults. I would rather focus on the topic boy.
Let me give you an example that you can possibly relate to as it seems power generation is complex to you.
You have 12 children complaining of hunger, you go ahead to buy 12plates and spoons instead of the food itself. Do you now see how dumb that sounds? While plates and spoons are important but they aren’t the main course.

Are you saying that what the candidate said will guarantee 24/7 power in Edo state is correct? Reason I said you are being clever by half, I knew that flew over your head.
Also, to utilise all generated power goes beyond poles and transformer. You should do a simple google search, you’d probably be enlightened.
Because seasoning is part of a meal doesn’t make it the main ingredient.
I am using these examples because I assume you can relate with them, they are basic enough for you hopefully.

Btw enjoy your 23hrs supply. lol, Nigerians. Smh

Don't mind DeOTR, himself doesn't know the answer to the question. In their own world transformer and poles can provide 24hrs steady electricity, forgetting that the without generation and transmission, there can never be distribution. Even the most difficult aspect in electricity production is transmission because many kilowatt generated are loss during transmission. The question now is, what is he going to distribute with his transformer and poles?

I noticed that we have a huge amount of unintelligent people in Nigeria. The education system is bad because I don’t know how a sane person will say the answer the man gave is correct. Dumb people everywhere. I am tired

Do you realize that even the little power we're generating, distribution is still a major problem? He might not be entirely right, but he's not entirely wrong either.
You are being clever by half. The question asked how he intends to provide 24hrs power as he has promised and he is mentioning poles and transformer.
You talk about power distribution, do you know transformers are the last leg of power distribution. You need to have power before you even think about distribution, and you say the man is not entirely wrong

Grammar aside, yes. You said there's nothing wrong with the video?

I mean for constant electricity it is pole and transformed that is needed?
