A prepositional verb is a verb that forms a combination with a preposition without yielding a different meaning other than what is obvious.

If you read the definition between the lines, you will deduce that it is possible that, in some instances, the combination of a verb with a preposition will yield another meaning.

You are right! When this happens, we cannot say we have a prepositional verb but a Phrasal Verb. In the case of Phrasal Verbs, their meanings cannot be arrived at by the individual meanings of the verbs and prepositions put together.

What is a Palindrome?
A palindrome is a word, a phrase, a verse, a number or a sentence, the letters of which, when taken in reverse order, give the same word, phrase, verse, number or sentence. In other words, a palindrome is a text that reads or spells the same forward and backward.

Read these words normally and then in reverse order:
BIB, BOB, CIVIC, DAD, DEED, DEIFIED

Check out these names:
ANNA, ELLE, EVE, HABIBAH, HANNAH, LAWAL, NATAN, NOSSON, OTTO, RENNER, YANAY

Check out these towns and cities that are palindromic:
• Aba, Nigeria
• Abiriba, Nigeria
• Ada, Ohio, United States

• Fall leaves as soon as leaves fall.
• You can cage a swallow, can’t you, but you can’t swallow a cage, can you.
• So patient a nurse to nurse a patient so.

What is an Adjective?

Adjectives are words that describe or give more information about nouns or pronouns in a sentence. In other words, adjective describes the quality of nouns or pronouns in a sentence.

Adjectives limit the words they describe in some way by making them more specific. For instance, the addition of ‘green’ to ‘car’ limits ‘car’ since it excludes any other car by any other colour.

Adjectives tell us something about the colour, size, number, quality or classification of a noun or pronoun. Examples include: red curtains, jet-black hair, brownish eyes, tiny feet, large houses, massive estates, six children, ten questions, twenty-five yards, happy people, delicious meals, mechanical engineering, nuclear weapons, modern languages, Victorian era, etc.
