KPLC Receives 7 Billion Kenyan Shilling Subsidy To Reduce Bills By 15 Percent

The Kenyan Treasury has offered a 7.05 billion Kenyan Shilling subsidy to Kenya Power and Lighting Company, which is more commonly known as Kenya Power or KPLC in order to make it possible for the electricity distribution company to reduce the consumer electricity bills by an additional fifteen (15) percent without the move affecting its cash flows.

Nothing to lament on. What worst can they do again? They have dent my image and if I pay them back, how will I thing the perception people have about me? Remember, once you settle them, they move on and don't tell your contacts that you have settled them.

Might even affect you tomorrow if you decide to take a loan from the bank to start a business. Cause they will surely look at your rating.

You should also know they can place a lien on your bank account and deduct the defaulted amount and accumulated interest(Very High) on it. Dont forget you submitted your BVN and your card details(sometimes) when collecting the loan.

The company hide those details in their terms of services, knowing fully well people don't read them. At the end of the day the company gets their money back with very high interest and you loose at the end.

So payback if you don't want to pay very high accumulated interest. CBN won't help you as it within the company's right. They don't care about your reason all they know is that you defaulted

I see them as deathtrap. That is why i can never take a loan from them

And the fintech companies trying to create jobs. The government is trying to kill them off with their useless policies
