Nairaland / General / Important Update On CBN Guidelines On Proper Use Of Bank Accounts (GTBANK) by vknights(m): 11:46am On Sep 28, 2016
Dear Customer,
Important Update on CBN Guidelines on Proper use of Bank Accounts
At Guaranty Trust Bank plc, we value your relationship with us and remain
committed to improving your banking experience by prioritizing innovation and
excellence in service delivery.
To ensure that we continue to serve you effectively and efficiently, we would
like to notify you of a recent regulatory guidance from the Central Bank of
Nigeria (CBN) with regards the use of your account for banking transactions.
The CBN has mandated that all customers of financial institutions are expected
to utilize their accounts within regulatory guidelines: These include the
following:
That all customers of financial institutions are expected to only use their
accounts for their direct personal/company related transactions.
That no customer of any financial institution is permitted to engage in any
activity that could be perceived as international money remittance service
(IMTO) or bureau de change (BDC) activities without the express
approval of the CBN.
That any customer who fails to adhere to these guidelines runs the risk of
being reported not only to the CBN but subsequently to security
agencies.
We would like to encourage you to be mindful of these directives when using
your bank accounts and we will continue to provide updates regarding the
proper use of your bank account.
For further enquiries, kindly send an email to complaints@gtbank.com or call

Nairaland / General / Re: Alert: CBN Warns Everyone From Using Their Dom Accounts To Buy And Sell Dollars by vknights(m): 11:34am On Sep 28, 2016
He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

When I receive inflow of dollar in my dom account, the bank will buy it from me at the official rate let's say 315 and later if i do any international transaction on my naira master card, the same bank will charge me 410 per dollar.... Is that not crazy!!

Truth be told, the whole system is messed up and CBN should better do a clean up in the banking sector. Even if i have hundreds of dollars to sell now I will go to the nearest aboki sharperly!!

The first interview was with 4 pple in a panel.

I was facing them n getting series of questions. Lasted for 45mins.. Was fully exhausted.

The last interview was with the overseer of the dept I will be, very breif, 15mins.

But all depends on ur test performance and ur first interview ability to let em knw how professional u are on the job.. Most of all.. Mercy of God, that was what I experienced.

Hello house,

Note that am not here to pull anyone's leg. Am only being objective with every
word I type that relates to the very subject matter here.

The trainees that assumed duty might not be your set. the max interval I had before being called back for each interview during mine was 2.5wks, though was for an exp position of which a particular person who assumed with me was called back after 3mths. I av also heard a case of aug to oct of diff calendar year which was the basis of me saying 9mths max.... For us to be sure of urs at least someone in the hse should get a mail to get us going.. Aside that I cannot categorically say this is the situation of things.

Wish you all the best.

Some graduate trainees commenced training today... If you got a mail being on pending list or a positive mail.... You will be called but might be in a max of 9mths time..For graduate trainees only...

Experienced is always a diff ball game..

olantyinkus: i did a computer base test for a position of an Assistant Accountant yesterday at Flour mills, anybody in the house who also went for the same test?

7 days fasting and prayer will land you the job... if you have faith only...
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Flour Mills Of Nigeria Plc Calling? by vknights(m): 6:05pm On Aug 30, 2013
If anyone among you is destined to work with FMN, surely you will be called.. I have heard series of pple complaining about doing CBT and not being called or went for an interview and waiting for a suitable response accordingly!!

In my own case.. I applied in March 2013, did a test in May , attended two series of interviews in June and got my employment letter in July. I was never bothered, and took all for granted not until the last interview when i saw something positive glittering from afar. But don't get it twisted, i was the only chosen one out of 30 applicants.

You all stay calm and remain positive.. All the best.

Very interesting thread!! I will never blame anyone for taking desperate measures during desperate moment!
It should be clear to everyone that what we share here is based on our individual opinion which is also views and expressions based on our individual experience in life. We all stand and reason from different zones, some opinions come from a comfort zone and some from a non-comfort zone which is why I respect everyone's opinion here.. If only those in that so called "comfort zone" could ask God to make them experience what pple in a non-comfort zone are experiencing then there wouldn't be a comment like "must pple leave Naija to survive"!!

Its a shame Nigerians don't know the difference between existence and living!! Those who are struggling to leave the country wants to create a living not just for themselves but for their generations to come to guarantee a future for them.. But those who exist as we have majority in Nigeria are okay once they swallow food and never even think of the future for their children!!

Just ask urself why our selfish leaders keep sending their children abroad after embezzling our fund?? Simply because they cannot guarantee the future of the country they themselves are Governing!!

These are all my views and expressions as I wish everyone well in the pursuit of happiness in life..
"If we cannot wage war against bad leadership and governance, we go sabi waka to a greener pasture"

Cheers!

I'll prefer to hear from the horses mouth rather than someone who's not been there..

I watch biz news a lot and been to other countries. Watched a lot of documentaries about Azerbajain which tells its a better country to Naija.. I probably wouldn't welcome a response from ppel who has been to libya.. Thanx

@marmarasea,Thank you for your brilliant response, God bless you!

Nigerians are bad content in a bad container called Nigeria,@obalukan asked a simple question about a country and some fools responded as if they are all comfortable, and if your father has embezzled so much to make you comfortable am so sure best part of the money ain't in this country.

This forum is created for the wise who wants to move further in life to seek a greener pasture!!

@marmarasea may I get ur mail addy, need to ask further questions from you about the country..

Thanks.
