Foreign Affairs › ⚡OPEC+ Monitoring Committee Agrees To Cut Production By 2 Million Barrels Per Da by Vl3ly(op): 2:54pm On Oct 05, 2022
⚡OPEC+ monitoring committee agrees to cut production by 2 million barrels per day - Reuter

The OPEC+ Monitoring Committee recommended that the decision to reduce oil production by 2,000,000 barrels per day be implemented. The main reduction will take place at the expense of Saudi Arabia and Russia, which acted as lobbyists for this decision.
The main point of this decision is to drive up oil prices by cutting production, which is beneficial for exporting countries, including Russia and Saudi Arabia, which, even with a reduction in production, will benefit from a sharp increase in prices.

The US started calling this plan "a hostile act against the US" yesterday. But one should not be surprised at the Saudi demarche. The Riyadh is on very bad terms with the Biden administration, so it is openly opposing the Biden administration's plans to control oil prices. Of course, under the Republicans, the Saudis can change their shoes, but right now the interests of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation coincided situationally, which of course did not please the United States. Biden's main problem is that he needs to keep the price of gasoline in the United States until the midterm elections, for which the United States extensively spends its strategic fuel reserves for most of the year.

Foreign Affairs › Us Defence Awarded$4.5mil To Conduct Research On Hypersonic Tech by Vl3ly(op): 9:43am On Oct 05, 2022
The US Department of Defense has awarded a three-year, $4.5 million contract to the University of Virginia (UVA) to conduct applied research to advance hypersonic technology, focusing on engine design, control, maneuverability, and operational stability.

The purpose of the work is to complete the development of the technology and conduct ground tests of individual components, culminating in comprehensive ground tests of the scramjet during a three-year period of operation.

The proposed study, sponsored by the Joint Hypersonic Transition Office (JHTO) through the University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics (UCAH), will be conducted by the University of Virginia, the University of Minnesota, North Carolina State University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and Virginia State University.

Industrial partners include Innoveering, Calspan and Boeing. UVA's industry advisors include Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin, Sandia, the federally funded Research and Development Center, and two government partners: the Air Force Research Laboratory and NASA

⚡Vladimir Putin today may address the nation to change the status of the special operation - source Readovka

The President may issue a new address to the nation today. According to the source of Readovka, it will concern the change in the status of the special operation.

Security Council Secretary Patrushev said that in Crimea, due to the increased level of terrorist threats, security gaps must be immediately eliminated there. The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, in turn, previously suggested that after the accession of new regions to Russia, a counter-terrorist operation would be carried out there.

Moscow. Belgorod. Omsk. Murmansk. Pillars of light reaching into the sky. Someone has already managed to joke that it was mines with strategic nuclear weapons that were opened, and doomsday searchlights hit the sky. And some channels report that they have finally launched the Peresvet laser systems, which work on the orbital constellation of the West. I would like to believe that yes is too good to be true. Because then the belief that we have weapons from the category of analogues returns, but we began to use them. And then everything will be Russia. Except Kosovo, because Kosovo is Serbia. #Russia
