It is quite funny how most of us here are yet to hear about campaign donations or contributions from supporters and fans. If you havnt, this is where fans or supporters of a political office seeker contribute or donate money for his election campaign ranging from 1naira to billions. I know most of us know this but sentiments won't let us think about this. So it is possible for the general to be able to afford a chattered jet. But as for am to talk say him collect loan to buy form, na only am know oh. But the story get as e be for me |

the fact that they are all sitting on the floor shows how real the Yar Adua's are, unlike most Nigerians who would wear their best clothes and sit on the chair to pose for a photograph. They are still sitting on the floor where they like and are more comfortable. And it was also smart and modest for Atiku to sit on the floor with his host. Though I like him not. |

Damboa has been reportedly deserted by soldiers since the Boko Haram attack on security formations there about two weeks ago. Several people are feared killed as gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram attacked Damboa in Borno State on Friday morning. Damboa has been reportedly deserted by soldiers since the Boko Haram attack on security formations there about two weeks ago. According to a vigilante official in Maiduguri, who said he spoke with some of his men in the Damboa village, the gunmen stormed the village at about 5 a.m. Abbas Gava said only a handful of youth vigilante group, known as Civilian-JTF, and some few vigilante officials were available in Damboa to protect the people. Attempts by soldiers to return to Damboa military base since two weeks ago are said to have failed as the Boko Haram gunmen took over the highway and continued to engage soldiers in ambush attacks that have forced them to return to Maiduguri on two occasions. “Since the attack, Damboa has no police or soldiers,” Mr. Gava said. “It is only the vigilantes that are there and we know their limitations.” He said the “casualty could be very high because my contacts in Damboa said they are still picking and piling the corpses. But many houses, nearly half of what remains of the several attacked town has been burnt”. A senior security personnel, who does not want to be named confirmed the attack to PREMIUM TIMES but said “no details on extent of damage or casualty yet”. PDP chieftain Timothy Nsirim who is the immediate past chairman of Obio- Akpor LGA has been reported to have threatend to kill his father Nyeweli Omunakwe Nyeche Nsirim, the paramount ruler and Apiti of Rumueme community in Obio Akpor local government area of Rivers state. The royal octogenarian in a two page petition which he sent to Louis Edet House, Abuja, the headquarters of the Nigeria Police, told the police that his son Timothy Nsirim has threatened to shoot and lock up him and other of his children because of properties belonging to him. The Chief appealed to the security agents not to take the matter lightly because according to him, the immediate past Obio Akpor council boss has a lot of money. He said he was helpless especially since the courts in Rivers state are currently not working and he does not want to believe his son’s threat is an empty one. The Apiti of Rumueme said the ex Obio Akpor council boss “threatened not only me, he threatened most of my children because he is determined to carry everything belonging to me , he wants to carry all my personal land and convert it to his own because he has plenty money, and he threatened to kill me and my other children”. The former Obio Akpor council boss has however denied the allegation, saying it is unthinkable for him to attempt killing his over 80 years old father.
