Ask ur wise self: is it not ironic that America will distribute money to americans to cushion effects of the virus and they will get the money, yet a while ago funds from the Abacha era was proposed to be released to the poorest people in Nigeria and we have not heard anything about the money again.
Now u can see that it's never the question of we can only do what we can based on what we have .....becos we have the money but we r not doing it.
We had the money to solve electricity issues but we squandered it.
We had the money to fix the refineries but we squandered it.
We have had the money to fix many, ma y things in this country, but we squander it.
So oga, change ur orientation, we will keep comparing Nigeria with America.
Are u saying we have never been capable of fixing our refineries? Or fixing the electricity?
What factors basically helps capability?
Isn't money part of it? And manpower? And good brains?technocrats?

Talking shit. A friend just called me with the information that one of his co-workers (an Indian) who entered the country on the 12th started showing symptoms yesterday evening and has been isolated immediately it got serious, and no one knows about this on this space.

The Indian has been active at work since the last four days, it's just simple. If a solution isn't found soon, we are doomed!

This is just one out of hundreds others who've been entering the country. We've not even talked about people he's been in contact with.

Nigerian Government is something but nothing near good.

The federal government has done nothing so far, they are still allowing foreigners even from Italy right now into the country, telling them to quarantine themselves. Unfortunately Italy is under lock down, so their citizens can't fly over here.... But if they weren't, they would be able to fly in considering the stupidity of our leaders.

Just for their citizens, not for foreigners. Canada also has cancelled all their visas for now, except for diplomatic purposes. Nigeria is not doing any.

when i read earlier about a junior minister of health saying Chinese, Italians and co are still welcomed to Nigeria, i nearly wept. I already know Buhari is a clueless, dumb and irresponsible president but i never knew he's mad as well. even EU has already shut down their borders and Nigerian leaders are speaking dust. is this an inferiority complex problem or what exactly?

so the medics are the first set of people u encounter immediately u alight from international flight? . Back to the topic, Nigerians are praying people, many things that have led to serious wars in many other countries have never led to wars here. It wasn't by magic or diplomacy. I don't know what u believe but as for me, prayer works. Prayers have saved and keep saving this country.

God is the reason. If u have been to any of our international airports, u will discover that some of our govt officials whether immigration, custom or police focus more on begging for money than doing their jobs.

If u think the govt is doing anything to protect us, u are only deceiving yourself. With the spread of the covid-19 epidemic round the world, we all expected anybody coming from Europe, Asian and other countries where the virus has been confirmed be treated as a suspected carrier whether confirmed or not and must be tested immediately they arrive at any point of entry. This is what is done in sane countries but we do the opposite here. Who will go and look for those people who travelled on the said flight? . The Nigerian authorities keep making jest of themselves.
