AdemolaA2: Wonder why a 13 year old boy would resort to committing suicide because of mere allegation .. shows his parents aren’t close to their son ..otherwise , he would have waited for them to get back and allow his parents to defend him .. may his soul Rest In Peace ... He was probably scared his parents would kill him so he decided to do it himself. You are right, he wasn't close to his parents. |

Ishilove: With the present crop of leaders we have here, Nigeria is not going to get better soon.
The good thing is if you grew up here, you can survive almost anywhere in the world because Nigeria trains you to be tough and hard as shells. That's what we should be grateful for; the training Nigeria's problem is not just the leaders alone. The citizens are even worse. A society in which people eschew science for superstition, rpromote umours for logic and fact, trade insults for compromise, rate money greater than pride can never grow. As a young man, nay teenager, I found myself and my siblings feeling like outcasts when dealing with our contemporaries. Our ideas were often laughed at by our mates and even adults who should know better. Fast forward to adulthood, and we've all found a place on the international circuit looking at the way the same set of Nigerians continue in their ridiculous trajectory and focus. Nigeria is what it is because that is what Nigerians are like. |

In one of the many threads that have been trending recently, I asked what the scam Kyari was said to have been involved in as suggested by the headline, yet no one could even present an argument.
So much for a society of supposedly educated people. |

I noticed many of your previous negative comments on the nigh impossibility of constant power supply on this thread earlier but this takes the cake! You are a very greedy person and karma will surely catch up with you and you family. $900B to generate power in Nigeria? How much did the United States that has near perfect power supply invest in their power industry? Don't mind him. He thinks we are all fools. |

kokomilala: Although Siemens too is corrupt and has a history of inducing politicians wherever they go off the record. But I prefer them to these charlatans who parade themselves as energy operators. In the wake of the privatisation, I was initially optimistic, but the moment I saw Nigerian firms bidding,I stopped following the process. I was humbly opined that Nigeria needed about 300 billion USD to revamp the sector, and the government doesn't have the money. Someone asked me who would do it.And I said investors. Now,it us about to take place. The Eko Disco and co do not have the infrastructure and technical know-how to address the problem, the crux of which is the obsolete transmission lines that lose power generated. Siemens, hopefully should address it.But I would have liked to see General Electric of US come in too. 300 billion dollars for a country leas than the size of Texas. |

EkunKekere: Siemens will come with a typically efficient German work model and the impact will be felt. All the useless aboki led discos can fvck off and leave distribution in more competent hands. You made a lot of sense until you used the bigoted term Aboki led. How many discos are being run by Abokis? Can you name them? Who handed the discos over and how was Aboki able to swing it? |
Politics › Re: FG Mulls Handover Of Power Distribution To Siemens by voltron14: 6:00pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
Gnaeusmagnus: It is because discos are not being paid by most Nigerians that they put pressure on those of us that do pay, and that they don't have the cash to make the needed improvements.
We need something like 40000mw before we can see power 24/7 across the country. And it costs money. That's why power was privatised in the first place Don't tell me you are suggesting we continue with the old method. |
