The problem with Nigeria is disloyalty and sheet stupidity. Many Nigerians are opening teeth and dancing that trump banned us. In their mind since they know they will never get chance to travel out so they don't care. Foolishly they don't understand international politics and the effect of the ban on Nigeria internationally.

Take a look at the class of countries trump grouped us into. This is how we will be viewed by the international community. If u think the ban will punish the rich or elite that u so envy, think again. They are more connected and privileged that ur sorry poor dumb ass grin
As much as Atiku was barred from entering the US, he was still given a few hours of grace when they thought he might win the 2019 election.

That singular act has given me a different perspective on the US as a nation.

I personally listened to Trump's speech concerning the visa ban. The key issue is the safety of Americans .The ban is against country with good numbers of terrorist
. The mentality of the American Muslims you are talking about is not same with what we are having here. Its high time we stop covering evil in the name of tribalism, religion and politics
How many Nigerian terrorists have ever attacked the US or its citizens?

How many American citizens have ever attacked other American citizens?

Continue ignoring the obvious and giving random examples of individuals. Of course, people have been emigrating illegally since forver, duh. An interview with the Canadian embassy on channels tv weeks ago confirmed how emigration rates has spiked, not to mention US.

What you fail to correlate here is the link between the spike in overstayers and the terrible economic situation in Nigeria. Which sane person woukd willingly choose to be an illegal immigrant in a strange land if they had a sound alternative? A country where people are slaughtered like sheep daily despite having a president m

The significant increase in emigration during Buhari's era shows he is not getting things right. Let's address the root cause.
Provide evidence of the spike.

I have a friend that has been in the UK illegally since 2009.

I have friend that absconded with his family in the states since 2014.

I don't think that it has anything to do with the protest. The reason is in the last paragraph. Almost 20% of Nigerians that visit the US end up stating illegally.

Will you keep kwayet.

Restricting Nigerians from travelling to USA is a BIG deal. A very big one. Dont limit it by calling it "...a mere immigration policy".

It is another indication of how low Nigeria has fallen.

I know Trump is crazy. But there are some countries that he would not have done this with. Not this easily. Moreover, the excuse he would give is the terrible security situation in todays Nigeria with Boko haram, ISWAP and herdsmen/bandits killing indiscriminately.

The security situation directly reflects on the President, who is C-inC
What country would he not have done this with?

Nigerians are poor and lazy and i reserve no apologies.

I would keep hitting this fact, the GDP per capita of Nigeria is 2000 dollars.

You fly into America on a visitor's visa and overstay to the level of 12% whilst those other countries you wish to talk about have an average of 1.2% overstayers.

Cry blood.

Scream about ineptitude of the government of the day.

Continue to hide your head in the sand.

If the Buhari Govt is not able to pull strings diplomatically and prevent this terrible situation, it would have lost every ouch of international standing Nigeria ever had.

Things are just getting worse on all counts!!!
And I guess Tanzania and Eritrea are also unworthy of pulling diplomatic strings?

Perhaps we should sell our sovereignty to the US or continue to encourage those on visitors visas to abscond.

Overstayers una well done oh.

The new countries don’t fit the same pattern. Several were included partly because their citizens overstay visas at high rates. In the 2018 fiscal year, 24% of Eritreans on business or visitor visas overstayed their permits, along with 15% of Nigerians and 12% of people from Sudan. Those compared with a total overstay rate in the category of 1.9%.
