Uche Nwosu , the Chief of Staff to Imo State governor , Rochas Okorocha , has revealed why the governor is so interested in having him as the next governor of the state. He said the governor wants him to take up from where he will stop because he (Okorocha) desires the best for Imo people. Fielding questions from Punch, Nwosu said whatever is happening about who replaces Okorocha is divine. Nwosu, who gave a Bible illustration, said, “It is about the person, Uche Nwosu. It is about what the governor thinks is the best for the state . It is about developmental leadership. “It is about who will move Imo State forward after 2019. Remember that we are one family in the ‘rescue mission government’ of Imo State. “The deputy governor, Eze Madumere, was the chief of staff when we were at the Rochas Group, while I was the Personal Assistant to the President of the Rochas Group, Rochas Okorocha. “It’s a story similar to that of the House of Jesse in the Bible. At the Rochas Group, I was the fourth person in ranking. “Our then General Manager, Rochas Okorocha, is now the governor; the then chief of staff, Eze Madumere, is now the deputy governor; we have Nonye Rajis, who was the Nigerian ambassador to Singapore when Goodluck Jonathan was the President of Nigeria. “Rajis was the third in rank at the Rochas Group and she became an ambassador . When Rochas Okorocha became governor, his ex- chief of staff became his deputy. “Just like the house of Jesse in the Bible, David was not the first or even second child; he was the eighth, but out of the sons of Jesse, he who was the least, that is David, was chosen to be the king of Israel. “What is happening in Imo State about who replaces Okorocha is divine. Even the governor does not know how his choice of who would succeed him came about, but I believe that whatever decision the governor took is divine and it is the grace of God that is working.” http://dailypost.ng/2018/03/24/2019-gov-okorocha-wants-handover-nwosu/ Lalasticlala, Mynd44

A 57-year old tenant, Mr. John Ogbaki in Lagos has dislodged his landlord, taken over the ownership of the house and had collected rent for two years. The incident happened at Pasty Lane at New Oko Oba Estate in Lagos where the storey building was located. Out of fear, the owner of the house had hurriedly relocated abroad, prepared a letter (the power of attorney) and handed the house to a female agent identified as Gloria. Some residents were still surprised how Ogbaki managed to dislodge the owner and forced other tenants to pay rent directly to him as the new landlord for some years before the agent – Gloria intervened. Gathered that Ogbaki’s illegal possession was halted when Gloria informed him that she had been given the power of attorney to manage the property. He however insisted that the house belonged to him and asked the agent to produce the landlord. The matter was reported to the police at Area M Command, Idimu following a petition to the Area Commander, ACP Austines Akika. During interrogations, he was asked to produce the documents that showed that he was the owner of the house but he was unable to produce any. The police then discovered that he was not the real owner of the house but imposed himself as the landlord and had been collecting rent from the tenants for those years. He was charged before Ejigbo Magistrate court for criminal conversion of another’s property. He pleaded not guilty. The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. The prosecutor, Mr. G. Simon did not object his bail condition. He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 28 March, 2018. P.M.EXPRESS gathered that since the fight between Ogbaki and Gloria – the agent started, the owner of the house remained silent and had continued to maintain a safe distance out of fear in order to know the eventual outcome of the matter before coming back. http://pmexpressng.com/tenant-dislodges-landlord-collects-rent-owner/

A 25-year-old welder, Joshua Adeniyi was on Saturday allegedly stabbed to death by a man suspected to be Fulani in his shop at Sabo area of Orile-Igbon town in Oyo State after a fight broke out at a joint. Sources said the suspect approached the victim, who just arrived his shop from a naming ceremony and stabbed him in the chest, killing him before escaping from the scene. One of the brothers of the deceased, Timothy Adegboyega informed journalists that eyewitnesses arrested one of the friends of the suspect when he (suspect) escaped. Adegboyega said, “I trained Joshua in welding work and after he graduated, he started working with one of my former apprentices who has a shop close to the scene of the incident. “On Saturday, he attended a naming ceremony and returned to the shop later in the evening. Beside the shop is a joint where youths play game and relax. Some Fulani men also patronise the place. From what we heard, the assailant was not provoked by my brother. “Those who saw him said he was drunk when he approached my brother and stabbed him in the chest. Joshua died before he could reach the hospital. The killer escaped while people were trying to save the life of my brother, but his friend was apprehended. “We have had cases of Fulani men fighting people with cutlasses and knives in this area. Anytime they have misunderstanding with our people, they use these weapons to injure our people. They terrorise our farmers in the farms and now they are coming to our town to continue their heinous crime.” Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, while confirming the incident to DAILY POST through a reply to an SMS sent to him Tuesday evening, however, said that the suspect had been arrested. He said that the state commissioner of Police had directed the homicide section of the state CID to commence investigation into the murder case. He said “The suspect has been arrested. The CP has directed the homicide section of the state CID Iyaganku to commence discreet investigation into the murder case. “The suspect will be charged to court after conclusion of our investigation.” http://dailypost.ng/2018/03/21/herdsman-allegedly-stabs-25-year-old-welder-death-oyo/ Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44
