Kylian Mbappe's father in 2018: “At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon but, someone at the Cameroon Football Federation charged a sum of money that I didn’t have to make him play. The French didn’t charge anything.”

◾Can you now see how terrible corruption has affected Africa! Imagine all the stars African nations would have had if they didn't ask players to bring money before selecting them to play. I am ashamed!

◾Don't ever blame any player of African origin for playing for and European nation. Embolo was asked for bribe but he didn't have money so he went to play for Switzerland and then he scored against Cameroon and Africans came out to curse him! For refusing to pay bribe!

◾I can beat my chest and tell you if Ronaldo and Messi were in Nigeria they would be hawking because obviously no one would let them play for Nigeria.

◾We have lost many big names due to corruption in Africa. Until we stop corruption in football trust me: AFRICAN COUNTRY WILL EVER WIN THE WORLD CUP❗

Travel / Working & Living With Nigerians Abroad by Voy(m): 1:27pm On Dec 18, 2022
Being a Ghanaian, I’ve had this bad impression about Nigerians. I grew up in Ghana thinking Nigerians were negative energies around anyone. I was literally brainwashed mostly by the media to see Nigerians as thieves, murderers, scammers, etc. But after 6 years of working and associating with Nigerians outside of Ghana, the following are what I’ve found and discovered about them. I’m writing this not because my best friend back in the UK is a Nigerian, and not because my senior manager and team lead at my present employer are Nigerians. This is my honest observation!
Arguably, if you put the average Ghanaian and a Nigerian under the same conditions and environment, the Nigerian would undoubtedly outperform the Ghanaian. They are bold, smart and have this relentless quest and effort for learning and perfecting their craft. What a Nigerian cannot do does not exist. I started a DevOps Engineering program for a career alternative and Nigerians especially their women from different career fields constitute about 60% of the class. I was scared to take this step—to move from risk management to pure IT but I was shocked to see Nigerians in nursing, HR, journalism, sales, etc here in Canada taking on the challenge. I quickly reached out to most of my Ghanaian friends but none seem to be interested. This is a fortune field in IT….and when I asked these Nigerians why many of them are here, they told me “this is the surest way to make money by doing less”. Truth is, if you’re starting anything abroad and there’s no Nigerian in it, just know that that thing has no promise grin grin . A Nigerian wouldn’t attempt what doesn’t bring any monetary gain or value to them!
I’ve noticed that a Nigerian wouldn’t lie to you unless they’re scared of you or stand to gain something exceedingly beneficial from doing so. This confirms why the most genuine and honest folks I’ve ever associated with outside of Ghana are Nigerians. When a Nigerian is sharing an opportunity with you, they disclose everything dito-dito. They withhold nothing—they tell you as it is. My people would give you a half information and still be all over the place saying that they’ve helped you. You have no idea how many Ghanaians have made themselves demi-gods out here because they’ve been here for ages and feel everything must be ran through them. If you don’t go their way, you’re a target for gossip!
A Nigerian sees an opportunity in every situation, and it cuts across. They’re mostly interested in building a sustainable business than for a quick profit. This explains why wherever there are both Ghanaian and Nigerian traders, the Nigerian merchandise would cost less than the Ghanaian—even if they have the same suppliers. I see that here in Calgary at the various African markets.
Show me any work environment or office without a Nigerian and I’ll show you a work that’s less fulfilling and rewarding. The energy around Nigerians is positive and motivating. Nothing scares them than failure so they work hard for success because success is greatly celebrated in their culture. Where I come from, if you’re making any progress, there’s 100% chance you’ll lose 99% of your friends—they’ll spread lies about you out of dislike. Some would also attribute your progress to things other than your personal efforts. “You see that girl, she’s being chopped by so so and so person. You see that guy, he’s an occult. You see that guy, he’s rushing in life. Etc”. Your own family would turn themselves into avowed enemies—praying to see you fail so that they’ll use you as a bad example like “you see that guy, he was rushing in life but see how he’s crushed like a fragile glass.” My people have a long way to go. They must know that it’s okay for anyone irrespective of age to be great at what they do. In fact, people can build a fortune at age 40 or less through genuine means. Let’s inhale some positivity!
We glorify timidity, ignorance and sycophancy as signs of humility but Nigerians encourage boldness, assertiveness and being daring. If there’s a Nigerian in your trade or profession, get closer, you’ll learn a lot from them. I’ve learned a lot from my association with them and I’m always grateful for having one as my direct supervisor at work!
~The End~

Politics / Actor Saidi Balogun Advises Nigerian Youths, Reacts To Rumored N20M Offer… by Voy(m): 4:17pm On Sep 11, 2022
Actor Saidi Balogun Advises Nigerian Youths, Reacts To Rumored N20 Million Offer To Support Peter Obi

Legendary Nollywood thespian, Saidi Balogun, counsels Nigerian youths when reacting to reports of being offered N20 million to support Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for the coming 2023 elections.
The veteran actor advised the youths to allow Nigerians to support their preferred candidate instead of attempting to impose a particular aspirant on anyone. He added they should use Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, to exercise their civic responsibility during the elections, not being a dictator.

Saidi Balogun, a renowned face in the movie industry, disclosed the rumours that went round, claiming that the rejected N20 Million from Peter Obi’s camp when he was approached to support the former Anambra governor for the post of the president were all lies. “They shouldn’t be spreading fake news because of anybody,” he noted.

“The only thing I can tell the youth is that they should think deeply before supporting anybody. The youths should please allow other people to support their preferred candidates. They have their PVCs; so, they shouldn’t be spreading fake news because of anybody,” the 55 years old said told the Punch.

He continued, “My advice to them is that they should use the power of their PVC. As they have the right to support any candidate of their choice, so do I. You are becoming a dictator if you are trying to force me to agree with your choice.

“I can only preach and exhibit or promote what my candidate has done or will do. You can buy into it but if you don’t, it’s fine. You’re free to present or show me the beauty of your own candidate too; and I may possibly buy into it. It is not for us to resort to abusing, cursing or fighting one another. And I need to say that it is important that when we see a piece of news, we should try and verify the authenticity before we start rebroadcasting because fake news travels fast.

Balogun further elaborated on why he is supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress for the 2023 presidential election. He said Tinubu has the same leadership style of bringing competent people to the limelight, just like himself.

He said, “So, I came out to support Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) and they asked me why. I told them that in Yoruba land, everybody you know who has been this and that, he (Asiwaju) was the one that brought them out – counting from (Babatunde) Fashola, (Yemi) Osinbajo to (Akinwunmi) Ambode. He (Tinubu) was the one who brought them out. When he picked these people, everybody was asking questions, but when they got there, what Asiwaju saw in these people, everybody started seeing too.

“In my films online, I have brought to limelight actors that people had not seen before; Asiwaju too has that style. I decided to give him my support. His good deeds that I know of are what I am talking about, and that’s me. Whosoever you support, it’s your personal choice and I don’t have to fight you over it”.

Music/Radio / Talented Pair 3ple B, Mofizzay Pen Deals With CSERECORDS by Voy(m): 3:16pm On Sep 10, 2022
The talented pair of Bright Godfrey aka 3ple B and Jesse Chukwukadibia Emmanuel Chinedu aka Mofizzay have both penned mouthwatering record deals with CSERECORDS LTD owned by Onyekachukwu John Mba popularly known as Aka Don Lamba.

The versatile duo both signed the dotted lines with CSERECORDS LTD during a meeting with Onyekachukwu John Mba after they both impressed the record label owner with their talents.

While speaking after penning his deal, Abia State born 3ple B who was inspired into doing music by West Life revealed that he greatly admires Chris Brown, Burna Boy, Davido, Olamide and Usher.

He also disclosed when asked to describe the kind of music that he typically creates, that he waxes anything classical and generally acceptable to the listening ear.

‘‘I basically create classical songs and any work that is acceptable to the listening ear. I never really played any musical instrument in school or in church and I’d love to collaborate with Davido

’’What makes me passionate about doing music is the fact that music is life and I hope to achieve a legendary status in my music career in the next 10-years.” 3ple B added.

On his part, Mofizzay who is originally from Enugu State but was born in Nsukka where his parents lived at the time said that he came about his stage name due to his strong and unwavering crush on a female Nigerian musician.

’’How I came about it? [laughs] Well, I umm …It is not an interesting story. I had a strong and unwavering crush on Nigerian musician Mo’çhedda when I was younger. I was so taken with her music and style that I adopted the MO in her name because I liked to imagine myself and her dating.

‘‘The word “Efizzy” was popular at the time, and I liked to imagine myself as a young lad with “efizzy,” so I added it to the “Mo” in my name. It was “mofizzy” at first, but I later decided that “mofizzay” was better, and it has stuck ever since.

The Computer Science graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University who had to transfer to high schools several times because his family moved frequently said that his father inspired him into doing music.

’’As much as he would hate to admit it, I think my father (God rest his soul) inspired me to make music. Growing up, I was exposed to a wide range of music, including Michael Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Elvis Presley, Lucky Dube, Brenda Fasse.

‘‘That list goes on and on. And even though it wasn’t what he wanted me to make for a career, unconsciously and unintentionally, he steered me in that direction.

Mofizzy who classified his kind of music as Afro-Pop with hints of singer-songwriter, alternative, and indie pop also revealed that he admires a lot of local and foreign musicians who have impacted him musically

’’I admire a lot of musicians. Especially those changing the era for new school music. I love Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, and of course, Wizkid.

‘‘Others who did not make this list are not without my admiration. I feel more connected to these acts because they influenced certain aspects of my life.

In his remarks after the pair of 3ple B and Mofizzay signed their record deals, Aka Don Lamba stated that the move is set to fully establish CSERECORDS as the home of one of Nigeria’s best music talents.

He said that he is working to put his record label on the map as one of the best in Africa as he hopes his new signees collaborate with the best including; Wizkid, Burnaboy, Akon, Chris brown and Cardi B in the nearest possible future.

Celebrities / Marrying A Second Wife Has Brought Me Blessings — Actor Yul Edochie by Voy(m): 10:09pm On Jun 09, 2022
God works in mysterious ways. Marrying a 2nd wife has brought me blessings and also elevated my two lovely wives. Sometimes it takes the things we see as disappointments to happen for elevation to come. It happened many times in the bible, just like the case of Joseph. I'm a man after God's heart. I'm like King David in the bible. I communicate with my God and He guides me everyday. I wronged my wife May from the way I went about it, and | have apologized to her sincerely from the bottom of my heart, but in the eyes of God things are different. God blesses differently. His ways are not our ways. Our destinies are different. Our destinies are different. Don't be deceived by the white man's culture. Same White people that condamn polygamy are encouraging men to marry their fellow men. In the end judgesent is for God. Even white people don't understand God fully. Nobody does, actually. That's why He remains God. Many great men in the bible had one wife, many great men in the same bible also had more than one wife. And if that happens to be your destiny God will elevate you and elevate all that concerns you through it. My wife May just signed her first endorsement deal. Something that never happened all these years. And this came from what many saw as a disappointment. I have realized that God's ways are different. Many more deals will still come to her cos she's a wonderful person. So is my wife Judy. She has also been elevated. Now widely known, her career is bigger with a whole lot going for her as well. Let me not even talk about myself. My stardom has tripled. My name is being mentioned in places it never got to before. My children are blessed. Summary: The ways of God are different. Our destinies are not the same. You may not understand another man's destiny and that's because you're not supposed to, except your own. If God gives you more than one wife it will come with blessings and elevation. Run your race and put God first in all you do. He speaks to each of us differently.

Love and Peace to us all.
