GUYS i have not received message from VFS to come and collect my passport. am running out of time. I dont want to miss my flight to china. please any advice on how to go about this should please advice. Time is ticking. if i had known that renewal takes this time i wouldnt have applied now.

I will apply by Tuesday next and will try and book hotel within midrand. That's where I want to go this time.

Since you want professional advise you have to pay for it (joking) but I can offer a candid advise. Am not sure you can get one year or 6 months visa unless you are a frequent traveller to SA or you get a relative or accompany visa. I think your bank statement is good enough, I will also advise you to do paid booking. All your previous docs too will be relevant

1. how would i apply to secure 6months/1 year multiple entry to south africa.
2. this is my second time of applying for sa visa. do i need all documents used in my previously application.
3. is prepaid or confirmed booked hotel a criteria for visa issuance?
4. how long does it take for the visa to be processed.
5. company account above 2million and savings 800k will it be okay for the visa issuance

yes i applied for the first time and within 3 days it was ready for collection and 3 months visa granted.

when i traveled to south africa on the 20th febuary, i bought rand from black market 27naira to 1 rand, if i had seen smeone selling 26. i would have buy from him.

Ask any one who swipes his naija card here in SA how much they charge? A friend used uba with his gtb card registered to his uba, he was charged 19 to 1, a day later, gtb sent him a mail and reversed the transaction that they used the wrong exchange rate and now charged him @ 25.9 to a rand. Another person paid at Mug and Bean, with his ecobank atm he was charged 26.3 to a rand.
Someone else used her zenith Atm in New york, she was charged 295 to a dollar (this was 3 weeks ago)

But when you look at the exchange rate via google you will see 196 to $1 or 12.3 to R1. So bro find another means mehn. You can talk to aboki's to do a transfer for u

I have just read your post and thought I should drop my 2kobo.

It will be foolish of anyone to travel to SA without a valid hotel reservation. By valid I mean a paid hotel reservation. If you only booked online to pay on arrival, I am sorry to inform you that you will turned back. You are a Nigerian! It could be different if you are coming to study or have other credible papers. But a first timer, you will deported on arrival without a PAID hotel reservation.

However you might be lucky if you meet an understandable immigration (black) officer who would request for a 'bribe'. I was almost turned back but they wanted $100 which I gave them. I had hotel reservation but its pay on arrival.

Though with God you can be lucky and invisible but abeg just pay before coming to avoid embarrassment. I know people who were turned back with more than $2k at their disposal.

I have not been to naija in like 18 months so really I don't know what obtains, what I do for close family and friends is I make them pay naira in my acct and I give them rands (but I don't do it for outsiders). As at last night my visa card from Diamond bank still works here, I think u can buy Rands at Murtala Mohammed or u can risk it and bring ur master or visa card. But really it is up to u

When u visit a city u go to the best and most secure places, you don't go to obscure places, you don't expect a visitor from oversees in lagos staying @ ojota, u will probably recommend Ikoyi, VI and so on.
Holidays are expensive, when I travel I stay in New York, NY not in queens or brooklyn. The Hotels in Sandton are of standard, Hilton, Radisson, Michael Angelo, City Lodge, Intercontinental, Southern or Tsogo Sun, so many hotels. So you have more than enough to chose. Transportaton and security is a big issue in JHB, so I won't recommend other smaller cities to u, but if u have a car or can rent a car u can stay in places like Midrand, Randburg, Bryanston, or even Centurion. But without a car you will have difficulties moving around.

thanks staggerlee, your advice is welcomed. i appreciate it. i have sand ton on my mind before i posted the question but i discovered it is one of the costliest area in Johannesburg and also it is secured in respect to crime.
i have checked hotels but at times what they show on the net is not actually what you met on the ground. sometimes people that have traveled before you do give ideas of the hotel with the area. can you still shed more lights. thanks for your time.i have book a ticket for the trip already

Nothing wrong with your question, Jhb is quite a busy city, so I will sudgest u stay in Sandton since you will be here for 4 days. As per hotel just use Google to search for hotels in Sandton, Sandton is a highbrow area but nice with malls for shopping. You can also visit Gold reef city in the South of JHB, Montecasino in fourways, Vilakazi street in Soweto. But for proper Holidays, go to Durban or Cape Town

sure you asked for cheap or cheapest flight? and you should be able to endure.. because most time you need to be full of endurance in flying cheap flight. And you might not be able to compare convenience / less delay you may have in higher paid flight to lower paid flight.

I intend to use the south africa visa i got during xtmas this febuary. Please which of the airline is very cheap and moreso which city is best to visit. I intend spend 4 or 5 days over there and come back.

be assured embassies verifies statements of account. when you request for statement from your bank and submit to the embassy, they are at their discretion decides either to send it back to the bank or scan to the bank head office to verify if actually exact transaction made in the documents you submitted are same with the one they have in their system. but banks wont disclose any further information more than you have disclosed to the embassy. i hope this helps

Hello. It sounds a little bit funny though. Does the Embassy truly verify account statement submitted to them? I think banks do not disclose ones account details to another person, even if d person is your blood. This is bcs I want to use same account I used for my visa for my wife and kids in quick succession. Can this work please house?

All of these are sufficient documents for an application but no one here can tell whether or not you were given a visa or your application was rejected. It is rare to get your visa processed in 3 days but it happens; it happened to me in July when I picked my passport up the third day. Please go to VFS and get your passport and hopefully, it will be good news.

Thanks bros. It is good news. Visa granted. 3 months to stay 2 weeks. I was amazed that's why I queried. I submitted on 8th December 2015 and the visa is ready for collection on the 10th at vfs. It means it takes only a day for the processing.

Am suprised . does it mean visa rejection or granted but wonders why so urgent though on the day of submission. we were not many that came to submission possibly not much crowd again.

Tomorrow is 27th May, 2015. 3 months from that date is 27th Aug, 2015. I don't think he can apply for visa yet unless his course starts on or before 27th Aug, 2015 (3 months before course begins).
