Ousmane Dembele has been left out of Barcelona's squad for their trip to Valencia to face Levante on Saturday afternoon.
The French winger is available after missing the games against
Eibar and Real Valladolid through suspension following a red card he received at the end of the 4-0 win over Sevilla , yet Ernesto Valverde has decided to not select him.
Samuel Umtiti has also not been named in the squad list, despite returning to training with the group on Friday.
Arthur Melo and Junior Firpo have returned to the squad, while Carles Alena and Moussa Wague have yet again not been selected.
For Dembele , though, this is a continuation of the intermittent start he has had to the season, having been injured, suspended and now left out.
Barcelona's squad to face Levante:
Goalkeepers: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Neto.
Defenders: Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Jean-Clair Todibo, Clement Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Junior Firpo.
Midfielders: Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Arthur Melo, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie de Jong, Arturo Vidal.
Forwards: Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Carles Perez, Ansu Fati.

Sergi Roberto returns from injury to take his place in the Barcelona squad for Tuesday's game against Real Valladolid at Camp Nou.
However, there will be no Samuel Umtiti, Ousmane Dembele, Junior Firpo, Moussa Wague or Arthur Melo for various reasons.
Umtiti has failed to recover from a knee injury in time, while Dembele is serving the second of a two-game ban. It appears Arthur, a regular in recent weeks, is resting ahead of three games in seven days.
Junior and Wague, meanwhile, have been left out for technical reasons, while Carles Aleña returns to the 18. Ansu Fati and Carles Perez have also been called up.
Barca lost top spot in the league over the weekend to Granada. Ernesto Valverde's side didn't play because the Clasico against Real Madrid was postponed.
The squad is: Ter Stegen, Neto, Semedo, Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Lenglet, Todibo, Alba, Rakitic, Busquets, De Jong, Arturo Vidal, Aleñá, Messi, Suárez, Griezmann, Ansu Fati and Carles Pérez.

Joedoyle:
To all those who quote me, don't forget, CR7 was always driven by challenge. When he started the game, skillful dribblers were much just like Ronaldinho and Robinho. He had to work to become a good skillful dribbler. Later, he realised in Madrid, that he need goals to top his game and that's why he transform to something else. Who in this world will say Ronaldo was never once a skillful dribbler? Mind you, he outclass all real No. 9 players so he could be the best as to the way he tried to outclass all skillful dribblers so he could be the best. If he was in Spain, he would have top up his game with all individual competition for players in other to be the best.
If you think M10 will leave Barcelona, scale through the aftermath of Ronaldinho leaving Barcelona and you'll know why M10 won't leave. Those guys are Good but credit should be given to the one who attempt to perform everywhere. If you think CR7 left R. Madrid because of his salary issue then you're getting it wrong. His main reason which I think was to become a champion in Italy and mark an equal stand with a great player I won't mention( the one who said I started watching football 2009 will mention). His life is full of challenge.

Ronaldo left man u because of bigger fame not challenge and he left real Madrid because the president didn't respect him. so next time before you post rubbish, show it to your younger ones and ask if it's sensible before posting

Barcelona have lined up Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze as an alternative for Neymar if they fail to land their former player from Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona maintain their interest to sign Neymar with Ousmane Dembelé struggling with injuries since his move to the Camp Nou from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017, according to digital goal.

Although Villarreal have inserted a release clause of 63 million euros into Chukwueze's latest contract, he is still a cheaper option considering the staggering amount needed to get Neymar back.

The Nigerian star has scored 10 goals in 45 appearances for Villarreal and has provided five assists.

Neymar has been ruled out for one month after suffering an injury in the international friendly against Nigeria on Sunday in Singapore.

Barcelona have been handed some good news regarding Lautaro Martinez, after it was reported that the Argentine is willing force through a move away from Inter Milan in order to swap the San Siro for the Nou Camp.
According to Don Balon , Martinez, who’ll cost Barca around €85M, is willing to force through a transfer from Inter in the summer, with the Blaugrana viewing the forward as a replacement for current first choice forward Luis Suarez.
It’s also stated that both Real Madrid and Man City are in the hunt for Inter man Martinez, thus Barca may not have it all their own way in the race for the player next summer.
The 22-year-old Argentine international has bagged 12 goals and two assists in 44 games for Inter during his time with the Italian, a decent return considering the forward is still quite young.
Martinez has been able to show how good he truly is with the Argentina national team, with the striker scoring nine goals in 15 games, with the player also contributing one assist as well.
Barca fans will be hoping to see Martinez recreate this form with their side should they sign him, especially seeing as he’ll have Argentina teammate Messi next to him in attack.
Given that Luis Suarez is fast approaching the end of his career, it seems wise for Ernesto Valverde’s side to be in the market for a replacement.
And it seems like they have found their no.1 target for this in the form of Inter man Martinez if this report’s anything to go off…

Ousmane Dembele won't be available for Barcelona's Clasico with Real Madrid on October 26.
The competition committee have confirmed this Wednesday morning that the Frenchman's suspension will be for two games, which means he will miss the matches against Eibar and Los Blancos .
Dembele was sent off at the weekend for telling referee
Antonio Mateu Lahoz that he is "very bad".

Jordi Alba returned to training on Saturday as Barcelona prepared for Sunday's game against Sevilla, their final fixture before the international break.
The left-back has been out for three weeks after getting injured in the Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.
Alba's possible return to action this weekend eases the burden on Barça in the left-back position, with Junior Firpo also sidelined with a problem.
There's also a shortage in the middle of defence. Jean Clair Todibo is likely to step in with Clement Lenglet suspended and Samuel Umtiti injured.
Ansu Fati is also back in full training having missed the last two games with a knee problem and could return to the squad this weekend.

Lionel Messi is more than just a player for Barcelona. Being the important figure he is, he’s known to call some of the shots behind the scenes. Whether or not the Barca board choose to listen to him is down to them, however, they will want to keep their best player happy, inevitably. That said, he has given the board something to ponder over the coming months.
According to Fox Sports, Lionel Messi has requested that Barcelona sell Sergio Busquets before the end of the season. The Spaniard has spent 11 years in the first team without any issues, learning from the best in Xavi and Andres Iniesta along the way.
However, his performances so far this season have been questionable to say the least. He has not played to the standard he is able to yet this season, particularly in the Champions League. He has played quite well in La Liga, providing two assists in his opening five matches.
Busquets is one of the best midfielders of this decade. He often does not get the plaudits he deserves but, the truth is, Barcelona simply would not be the same without him. He is a skilful midfielder who likes to dictate play deep in the midfield. He has learnt from Xavi what it takes to keep Barcelona’s tiki-taka style of play flowing.
With Philippe Coutinho out on loan, Barca suffered a limit to their midfield options. Although Frenkie de Jong did arrive in the summer and he has impressed in his opening fixtures. With the 22-year-old on the rise, it could be time for Busquets to bid farewell before his reputation is tarnished at Camp Nou

Inter will be without Romelu Lukaku against Barcelona - and his status for Sunday's contest against Juventus is questionable.
Romelu Lukaku will miss Inter's blockbuster Champions League clash against Barcelona due to injury.
The Belgium striker has not travelled to Camp Nou with the Nerazzurri squad for the Group F clash against the reigning La Liga champions due to a muscular issue.
It remains to be seen if Lukaku will be fit for the huge Serie A contest with Juventus on Sunday, but head coach Antonio Conte is hopeful the quadricep problem is not too serious.
"Lukaku isn't here, he had a slight muscular issue in the quadricep that he has been carrying for 10 days," Conte said a pre-match news conference.
"He was continuing to feel the problem and the tests were negative, but we preferred in any case not to risk him. We have to rely on how the player feels in these cases. It's not a tear , so we are fairly relaxed and will focus on that [if he can face Juve] only after tomorrow's game with Barcelona."

Ernesto Valverde analysed Barcelona's win over Getafe, their first of the season away from home. It wasn't a great performance but it was an important win.
"It was important not to make mistakes early on like we have done in other games," he said. "That was fundamental. The goal calmed us down and, from there, we imposed ourselves well. We didn't give much away and had chances to score more.
"If you want to win La Liga you have to win a lot of games away from home, not just your home games. Getafe were a tough rival, it's a hard place to come and we've played well. Now we have three days to prepare for Inter."
Marc-Andre ter Stegen played well and Valverde had praise for him after he laid on the assist for Luis Suarez's first goal. There were also positive words for Junior Firpo, who scored his first goal for the club.
However, Ousmane Dembele missed the game with a thigh problem, which Barça announced an hour before kick-off.
"We opted not to include him as a precaution," Valverde explained. "He will have more tests tomorrow, but the impression I have is that it's nothing excessive."
Clement Lenglet was sent off late on and, with Samuel Umtiti injured, it means Barcelona will be short in defence for the home game against Sevilla next weekend.
"We have players from the B team who can help," said Valverde, who's likely to pair Gerard Pique with Jean Clair Todibo.
