Agriculture › Medicinal Value Of Bitter Leaf by wabagric(op): 10:06pm On Aug 02, 2023 |
wabagricfarm..cimBitter leaf belongs to the Asteraceae family in the large genus Vernonia. The plant is a shrub with moderate canopies occurring in open, regrowth forest locations; it is often raised around habitations. The leaves are broad, ovate and spirally-arranged on branches. As a pot-herb and source of medicinals, bitter leaf is in a special class in terms of the cultural methods of preparation. The leaves are squeezed in water with salt added to wash off toxic materials which ooze out as foamy, brown exudates until they are clean. This is one form in which the vegetable is sold in the market. In the early 80s when the crusade for the use of herbal medicine began, bitter leaf was one of the abused local herbs. Some people drank the exudates that were traditionally washed out of the leaves before use as vegetables. I know two close friends who came down with massive skin eruptions which required medical attention! www.wabagricfarm..com |

Juwonmania: They were not shot by soldiers. Protest should be peaceful but ojoo protest has been hijacked by the taxi drivers and agbero boys. Anyone going thru ojoo is advised to follow other native route plss Who are the Agbero boys? are they not the youths? They will say hoodlums have hijacked peaceful protest, is hoodlums not the most neglected youths in Nigeria? No Education, no job and you don't expect things like this in country where nothing work? You can only tell Educated fellow to behave not hoodlum. |

TO THE MODERATORS
I'm sure either you guys are racists too or your senses are too low to understand that nairaland has become the greatest promoter of tribalism especially between the South, whichever one it may be but hence, do the needful to curb all these silly acts because it is not childish anymore rather silly. They turn everything to tribal war forgetting they're both South and same county men.

BuariCopyPaste: May you live long for saying the truth sir. For the first time in the history of Nigeria, someone from the northern part of Nigeria has said the bitter truth. Awolowo introduced tribalism in to Nigeria government.
His e-rats will soon come online to disagree with this old man that witnessed what Awo did.
I have said it earlier that Yorubas are the real problem of Nigeria. and so what, so the same awo of 60s still your problem till now,but your problems have solved now, idiot. |

vayne: Ultimatum or no ultimatum, our stance remains thesame!
Let the country divide peacefully after which everyone can relocate!
You can't ask anyone to relocate when the division process has not been concluded, conclude it and see if any Igbo remains anywhere outside igboland!
If the north wants a breakup, they have their members in the HOR through which to channel their idealogies!
1)Why is the SW so scared of condemning the approach of the north towards secession as it did to NK led agitation, under the guise of "following due peaceful process",what are they scared of?
2)why can't the SW tell the north to represent their case through their members in the house of reps like they always tell igbos?
3)why haven't they threatened the north with war like they did to Igbos?
What are they scared of?
MR.MAN WHY SW IS ALWAYS YOUR PROBLEM? LEAVE THIS PEACEFUL REGION I BEG TALK SOMETHING ELSE. |
Politics › Re: Photos From The Launching Of Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) by wabagric(m): 10:37pm On Jun 05, 2017 |
elmagnifo: Nice logo they have up there(the star). But Nigeria politicians are only after their pockets and that of their immediate family members.
They lack initiative, good ideas to move the country forward. Every one of them is interested in what he can reap from the country and not what the masses will enjoy from him. And the funny thing is, Nigeria politicians have mastered the act of using the youths to defend them and sing their praises.
Nairaland is actually a case-study. Everyday we see youths who are supposed to unite and take back their country from these looters engaged in one tribal/religion/regional slur. And at the end of all the insults they throw at one another, they still go to bed hungry. my brother na so oo,expecialy those jobles yoruba's and ibo's youths. |
