my advice to the woman is to try to be calm, dont take a rash decision, if he still has parents, or elder ones, you could go report the matter to them, and hear them, marriage is full of challenges, dont rush out of it,

I still insist it is NOT a man thing. What then will you say of women who commit adultery? is it to boost their ego?? Afterall you've just cited the woman who committed adultery. She was married to another man (and that's why it's called adultery, not fornication).

undecided
A woman who commits adultery would be ashamed of herself, she has disgraced herself, let me add here that even till today been a virgin as a single girl is pride to her parents, in those days if a man gets married to girl he expects her to be a virgin, if she is not it was enough reason to divorce and return her back to her parents,
a woman who commits adultery do it for reasons bothering on economic issues or maybe she is a nymphomaniac, certainly not for ego,

A man who is married and wants a second wife, cannot be ashamed of himself, but he can only be ashamed if he wants to snatch another mans wife, maybe!

1 Timothy 3:2
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; (and of course, I submit to you that every Man is the bishop of his home cool)

what does this statement imply?, i did not say the bible encourages polygamy,my argument is that it was not categorically stated, that men must marry one wife, 1 Timothy 3.2, is encouraging monogamy, but has not said polygamy is a sin!! smiley, in the beginning God created Adam, and he gave him only one wife Eve, but in the bible after Genesis, there were cases of Men marrying more than one wife.there is no account to my knowledge in the bible were a woman married more than one husband at the same time, it is the situation that makes these things happen, when there is scarcity of men or other abnomalities, i am in the office right now, if i get home to my bible i would quote some verses for you to look at,
right now in our society there is scarcity of men, there seems to be more women ready for marriage than men available to marry them, problems like this is what gives rise to polygamy

when a man gets a woman, either as a girl-friend or Wife,he feels like he has conquered, there is this victorious feeling, that makes him feel like a real man.he could even boast to his friends, when they meet, how he conquered the new girl, the crude mentality is the more you conquer the more manly you are, WHY ARE NATIONS CALLED WOMEN AS IN "HER", OR "SHE"?, FOOD FOR THOUGHT grin grin

windywendy:
Now you're just getting my point! She slept with several men grin grin Isn't it men who sleep with several women that you refer to as dogs?? And i'm saying that it is not exclusive to men, it's not a man thing -- it's something that depends on the individual and their moral standards or beliefs cheesy. I dare say that women cheat as much as men, but like you said, it's not something they talk about (for whatever reason). Afterall, think about it na, who are the men cheating with?? They're definitely cheating with other women, whether married, single, engaged to be married etc, unless of course they're gay shocked shocked. It takes two to tango

Biblical times were different. God allowed men to have more than one wife back in the old testament. But then later on in the new testament, he commanded men to have only one wife and also called adultery a sin. He also commanded women to have only one husband. So under the new testament dispensation, a man with more than one wife or with concubines will definitely have names **and not good ones, at that**

I rest my case here my dear.
Yes it is a man thing, it boosts their ego, that is why they talk about it proudly among themselves, yes right now the polygamous nature is fading day by day though, but it is still there,,,men now respect their wifes more, so are more discreet in the act,

please there is no where in the bible men were instructed categorically to marry only one wife, and if they dont they ve sinned,
if you read through John8, in the bible, it was only the woman that was brought forward to Jesus, that she committed adultery, did she "do" her self, i believe she committed it with a man, why did they not bring the man also to Christ for purnishment?, FOOD FOR THOUGHT grin grin
FamilyRe: Caught Your Housemaid With Your Spouse by waffistyle(m): 9:48pm On Oct 08, 2006
it is very stupid though, tthe man no get shame at all,
windywendy:
Men are dogshuh I disagree strongly.

You're married right? If yes, are you admitting that your hubby is a dog?? Again if yes, why would anyone in her right mind marry a dog?? sounds bizzare to me shocked shocked

I can imagine you're going to tell me AGAIN that i'm living in a world of my own. But bring it on, it's all good grin grin
dont think men think the way women do o please, a man can marry 10 women, he is a strong man, or polygamous, a woman sleeping with 10 men, is practising prostitution, and is looked down on. many men are still polygamous in behavior, they only marry one these days, but there are always some concubines, or mistresses somehow, at sometime, in the marriage,
A man wants power, authority, a woman wants respect and dignity,
na small Man take better pass dog, take it or leave it,  grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

it is not possible to know al about a person, and sometimes it is dangerous to try to know too much,, by investigating, or asking questions around, what you dont know would not bother you, i also believe in real courtship before marriage, where you both stay in the same town, that way you would know as much you need to know before taking your decision,
dont try to know after you ve taken the decision, let sleeping dogs lie,

PoliticsRe: Solution To The Niger Delta Crisis? by waffistyle(m): 7:34pm On Oct 05, 2006
ANOTHER SOLUTION IS TELL ALL THE OIL COMPANIES TO SUSPEND EXPLORATION FOR AT LEAST 2YEARS , SO WE SORT OUT OUR PROBLEMS, NIGERIA CAN THEN LOOK INWARDS AND DO OTHER THINGS TO GENERATE FOREIGN EXCHANGE, AND INCOME FOR THE NATION, RIGHT NOW WE DE MAKE YANGA, WE FEEL THAT WE ARE A VICTIM TO NIGERIA, AND WITHOUT OUR LAND AND OIL NO NIGERIA, PROVE US WRONG!

NIGERIA IS LIKE A FATHER THAT HAS 6 SONS, AND THE LAST HAS A GOD-GIVEN TALENT THAT HE USES TO MAKE MONEY FOR HIMSELF,HE MAKES A LOT MORE MONEY THAN HIS ELDER BROTHERS BUT WAS TOLD BY THE FATHER THAT SO FAR HE STAYS IN HIS HOUSE, ALL MONIES MUST COME TO HIM(FATHER) FIRST, AND HE WOULD USE SENIORITY AS A BASIS TO SHARING THE MONIES GOTTEN BY ALL HIS SONS DAILY,

HOW DO YOU THINK THE LAST SON WILL BE FEELING?

MAKE I DE ON MY OWN NA IM GO PAY ME PASS, angry
WHICH KIND LAZY BROTHERS I GET SEF, NA ONLY ME GO DE FEED THEM angry
IN SHORT I NO DE WORK AGAIN, IF PAPA LIKE MAKE E BEAT ME, HABA angry

HE WOULD NOT BE HAPPY,

AND IT BECOMES WORSE WHEN HIS DAD SAYS THINGS LIKE

YOU NO FIT DE ON YOUR OWN, YOU REMAIN UNDER MY ROOF AND DO AS I SAY
YOUR BROTHERS MIGHT BE LAZY, BUT THEY ARE YOUR BROTHERS, AND TOMMORROW THEY TOO MIGHT MAKE MOARE MONEY
YOU MUST GO AND WORK AND BRING ALL THE MONEY TO ME, OR ELSE I WILL BEAT YOU AND NOT GIVE YOU FOOD TO EAT.

THE LAST SON MIGHT NOW START

STOP DECLARING ALL HE EARNED FOR THE DAY
PLANNING TO RUN AWAY FAR AWAY FROM HIS FATHER AND BROTHERS
BECOME DISOBEDIENT
BECOME STUBBORN
BEGIN TO FEEL INDISPENSABLE

DO I MAKE ANY SENSE? grin
PoliticsRe: Solution To The Niger Delta Crisis? by waffistyle(m): 7:05pm On Oct 05, 2006
as far as i am concerned, we no be fool!!!!!!!, before the full exploration of oil in the 60s, there were regions, and the centre was weak, all the regions were self-sustaining and paying 50% tax to the centre, when it was discovered that oil was in abundance, and was better than goldmine, the North in colaboration with the miltary changed the system from Federalism to Unitary only on economic matters, the centre now owned all resources and thus controlled them, only when oil is in the land, There is no state in the NigerDelta that can't be self-sustaining with or without oil, before the advent of oil, there was good trade in Timber, palm produce, etc in the NigerDelta,
The solution to this problem is to simply revert back to how it was in 1960. the centre is too involved in the running of the economy, thus encouraging corruption, our economy should be more private driven, that would even be a more sustainable fight against corruption, since we are capitalists by nature,
the communities should be given back their land, and they have a choice to enter into partnership wth the state Government, or any oil company to drill oil, and they are taxed at source, this is the permanent solution, or involve them as partners, maybe the oil companies could give a particular parecentage of their income to the original owners of the land, so far their installations and equipment are safe, just get them more involved and responsible, we in the Niger Delta dont subscribe to the general talk that the whole of Nigeria owns our oil, we NO BE FOOL!!!!

if you have orange tree, cocoa etc on your land, nobody drags the land with you it is yours, the moment there is oil, it is now owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, RUBBISH!

Discordant tunes over corruption allegations

, and Ribadu apologises to Babangida

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, may be reaching out to make amends with people on whose toes he has stepped. According to an Abuja insider who spoke with us, “Nuhu knows the game is almost over and realizing that he works with a man who could throw him out any time, he knows it’s not in his interest to offend very powerful people who may be in a position to influence his future.”

One of the very powerful interests that Ribadu has reached out to is the Babangida family. Elendureports.com has learnt that the EFCC Chairman placed a phone call to Muhammad Babangida, first son of former Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. Muhammad Babangida was recently detained for a few days by the EFCC on allegations that he illegally acquired a twenty-four percent holding in GSM giant, Global Communications owned by business mogul Mike Adenuga.

Details of the call which took place on the 21st or 22nd of September are still sketchy. However, Elendureports.com was reliably informed that Ribadu’s call was essentially to apologize to Muhammad Babangida. A source close to the Babangida clan told Elendureports.com: “We knew they would not find anything on Muhammad because there is nothing to find. We have maintained all along that Muhammad was being falsely accused. And yes, I’m aware Ribadu called him but I’m not in a position to give you details for now.”

Informed sources told Elendureports.com in Abuja that Ribadu seems to have sunk into a deep melancholy on account of what was described by an EFCC top staffer as “a clear betrayal by the President,” who was recently reported as having doubted that there were as many as 31 corrupt Governors. During his session with the upper legislative chamber, last week, the EFCC chairman had reeled out corruption charges against as 31 State Governors.

President Obasanjo was reported to have shown great surprise that Ribadu, who has been accused of being Obasanjo’s lightening rod against his enemies, should dub so many Governors as corrupt. In fact, the President reportedly declared that he was aware that “only two or three Governors have been confirmed as corrupt”. It is being whispered in informed circles in Abuja that Obasanjo may be preparing grounds to offer a clean bill of health to some of his favorite Governors.

Another source close to the seat of power in Abuja further revealed to Elendureports.com that some predominantly Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors had complained to the President about the wholesale disgrace they received from the EFCC and were alleged to have threatened that if the impression that all they had contributed to the nation in the last seven years was corruption, then they would strike back. They were, in fact, said to have threatened that they would gang up and frustrate the plans of the President during the forthcoming convention of his party, and by so doing, rubbish Obasanjo’s alleged attempts to handpick candidates for the next elections.

Our reporter learnt that the President had taken the threat seriously and must have decided to play their card for the moment. One of the indicted Governors from a north central state recalled to our reporter: “In the past, when it suited Obasanjo, he and his agents would want to rubbish the Governors as was the case during aborted constitutional amendment, when he merely wanted to retain his own immunity while letting that of the Governors go”. The Governor, who did not want to be named, was convinced that President Obasanjo, after using the Governors would join Nuhu Ribadu in his songs of corruption.

But whether the current twist, in the view of informed circles in Abuja, might dampen the enthusiasm of the EFCC Chairman and his Commission is yet to be seen. One thing is clear: The Governors are not going away quietly. There are whisper campaigns going on in Abuja concerning alleged indiscretions of the EFCC Chairman.

Elendureports.com made several attempts to get Ribadu or EFCC spokesman, Osita Nwajah to comment for this article. Since our last interview with the EFCC Chairman, portions of which he publicly denied, the EFCC has stopped sending press releases to us or even take our calls. After making several futile calls to the offices of the EFCC Chairman and the Spokesman, we submitted handwritten questions to the EFCC office. Our questions, expectedly, were ignored. This is a further confirmation that Nuhu Ribadu and his Commission have decided to avoid dealing with this publication. According to a source at the EFCC, Elendureports.com has been branded an “enemy” of the Commission
if this yarns na true thenangry obj never ready!!, what is good for the goose is good for ths gander, so he wants to see how he will save some of his good "sons", and thereby fustrating the efforts of EFCC and Nuhu, this our presidents style is to use you, and give an impression to the world that he is credible, see how he dropped Okonjo-Iweala, just before election for no reason, i wonder? angry, he uses you without you knowing, the man get wayo well well,

Women should stop contradicting themselves and get a life!
