Properties / Re: Fence Building Section by wale1975(m): 2:02pm On Jan 25, 2012
Thanks Spyder880, The fence has to be of normal lenght. At most 12 blocks high. It doesn't have to become a prison wall. The land is a sandy one. I want pillers to be casted and pillers will have to hold the gates too.
The question again is how many 6inches blocks do i need to buy? How many bags of cement and how many rod (what size) will i have to buy to complete the fencing?

Many thanks!

Thanks Spyder880, i will do that right away. However, let me just mention it here too. The fence has to be of normal lenght. At most 12 blocks. It doesn't have to become a prison wall. The land is a sandy one. I want pillers to be casted and pillers will have to hold the gates too.

Many thanks!

Spyder880, perhaps it is because i am a silent member of this forum that is why you ignored my question on the fence construction thread. I feel it shouldn't be so. What you're doing is greatly educating many of us. I take no offence and i will still ask my question here again. I need to fence a plot of land measuring 60 x 120 feet. How many pieces of 6inches blocks will complete the fence? How many bags of cement, how many rod and size will do the job to completing. That's all i need to know. Thanks and God bless!

Spider, what a great job you, Am alone and other Nairalanders are doing here! I must confess that i have learnt so much here. Keep up the good work. Just this morning, i had to ask my best friend in UK who needed some information on building/building materials to log on to NAIRALAND.COM to get all he may be looking for. I feel so proud to be a member here. God bless you all!
If i may ask, how many 6" hollow blocks will complete the fencing of 60 x 120 feet plot of land? And like how many bags of cement will be used for the erection of the blocks?
Thank you!
Politics / Re: Subsidy Removal: Nigerians Made A Mistake Not Electing Buhari – El-Rufai by wale1975(m): 9:08am On Jan 08, 2012
MarcAnthon:

^^^ I can't believe you would say that after the mistake you and your ilk have burdened us with ala Jon Dumbo. We had a golden opportunity to change Nigeria and put her on the right track with the elections in April but we blew it because we couldn't rise beyond our prejudices to put the nation first and relegate our myopic interests. How then do you mor0ns expect these so called leaders you elected with those ungodly sentiments to put national interest ahead of their greed?

Now we're living in the reality of your mistakes and you still can say all that trash? A big shame on you!

God bless you with your comment above. I don't know why many Nigerians are as dumb as this allowing unnecessary prejudice to take control of our reasoning. What good have they seen in Jonathan now to be a thing of joy to them. You guys haven't regret anything. Many still awaits Nigerians in the hands of Jonathan. He never talked about cutting his food allowance of =N=1bn but 25% cut in basic salary. How much will that be? Buhari would have been better than this dull person you all choose as your president.
Politics / Re: Fuel Price Vs. Minimum Wage In Opec Countries Inc. Nigeria by wale1975(m): 11:11am On Jan 07, 2012
goggs:

Lets get this clear, I am not in support of the way the fuel subsidy was removed. I think that the government had better options (eg cutting waste first starting with the  N1billion food bill etc). But that doesn't mean that Nigerians should be MISLED by ANY side.

I went in search of the facts and found that some of the minimum wages listed here are wrong and misleading. Check out;

(i) Saudi Arabia has no minimum wage

http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Saudi_Arabia.aspx

(ii)  Venezeula's minimum wage is N54,000 ($360) and not N95,639

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-13194440

(iii) Kuwaiti minimum wage is N70,400 ($440) not N161,461

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuwaiti_minimum_wage

(iv) Iran's minimum wage is N48,480 ($303) not N86,585

(v) Qatar's minimum wage is Nil (No minimum wage) so the figure of N101,250 is wrong

http://www.minimum-wage.org/international/en/Qatar

(vi) Algerian minimum wage is 18,000 DA ($237) - N37,000 and not N55,957
http://www.minimum-wage.org/international/en/Algeria

http://magharebia.com/cocoon/awi/xhtml1/en_GB/features/awi/features/2011/10/05/feature-04

(vii) Minimum wage in Libya is $118 per month which is N19,000 and not N23,183

http://www.emporikitrade.com/uk/countries-trading-profiles/libya/labour-market

In times of conflict, the truth is usually the first casualty. What is best for Nigerians at this time is the TRUTH from all sides so that we can take an informed decision for the better

You're damn wrong my friend! There is nothing wrong with this statistics. I work and reside in Kuwait as i type this. The minimum wage for Kuwaitis is 350 Kuwaiti Dinnar per month and if you check it out, that is equivalent to =N=191, 631. And it will interest you to note that no Kuwaiti pays for housing, electricity, or water. They're all provided by the government and that also goes for other GCC countries. Ask those who resides in these countries before you conclude that those statistics and incorrect and misleading, please. Don't distort facts!

Properties / Re: The Business And Profitability Of Rental Properties by wale1975(m): 1:26pm On Jul 26, 2011
I bed to disagree with a part of the information where it was suggested that elevators should be installed in the buildings with many floors. While the suggestion is a good one, elevators are however not to be used in times of emegencies like a fire incident. It is against all safety measure and no safety professional will ever give such advice. I am one and it is never done. People evacuating a building when there is fire incident must use the stairs and not the elevator.
Thank you!
Travel / Re: 45 Ghanaians Deported From Nigeria by wale1975(m): 1:08pm On Jul 26, 2011
I think it is unfortunate that Nigerians very much hate their country like this with all the comments i have read here. If any, only few people are asking questions on why the Ghanians were deported. Are we all saying that all Ghanians are angels and incapable of committing crimes? By simply being neighbours, will you allow the man next door turn your room into a gutter? People should be constructive in their crititicm. Those who deported them won't ever do it for the fun of it knowing what the consequences of doing so will be on our international relation with them. Who told Nigerians that Nigerians are not been sent packing also from Ghana if you over stay your welcome or you're in the country illegally? Just take a look at the comments Nigerians have made here and compare them with the ones credited to them brought on this forum by a nairalander. Just look at the hatred they have for us even when 90% of Nigerian are condemning the deportation. While both countries belong to ECOWAS, that is not a license for nationals of either country to commit crimes and be left alone. It is a pity that most Nigerians have lost their self-worth because of what they'll eat. Its a shame!
