By my own duty wt some odas e.g olu4life , we askd dj 's broda to get a vehicle (maybe to rent one of d public park ones) to transport him frm eruwa to lagos st nicholas bt wt d issues of st nicholas nt admittin without an initial deposit of 500k which i think its true cos dre's once a similar issue wt eko hosp before, what do you all suggest. I dont know if d moni is available and i also know dre will b hosp that will nt require up to that before admitiin...so comment pls

He will most likely require donors from 2different individuals one for the kidney and another for the liver. These tissues are foreign and the natural response of the body is to reject and destroy it. The medications(immunosuppressive agent e.g azathioprine) prevent the body from doing this and encourages the body to see the organ as self. Hope this helps.

Team A to call St Nicholas/Reddington/Kidney unit advertised on the top of the page/Bowen Hospital and any other hospital mentioned here or reccomended and to speak to them and find out the following info

a. Do they do dialiysis?
b. Do they have beds?
c. The cost of each dialysis
d. Do they have an ambulance to pick DJ from Eruwa to their unit?
e. Are they able to assist in visa procurement/advise on how to get DJ out of the country for medical treatment

And get DJ moved out from Eruwa TODAY

It was their 9.45 am Thursday and my 10.15 PM Wednesday

I just got off the phone right now with the international patient coordinator and yes they do transplants and she wants me to send her a scanned report from the doctor treating DJ with the following

1. Lab results
2.scan report
3. Doctor's impression and diagnosis
That way their doctors can have a rough picture of patient

She will text me her email to send those and she will give it to their doctors to review and their doctor will write me back by email of their impression and the way forward.
( at this point I plan on calling and speaking with the doctor )

Please call the family,we need to get these things sent ASAP
I could pass on the phone number of the lady to one of you in Nigeria
The people that took a trip may need to go again to help collect and scan and send these things please
I told them he is my relative but I am in the USA and he is in Nigeria and our relatives in Nigeria will perhaps send the reports

ma, in my own opinion which may nt be right....no need goin bak to eruwa to get test results or report....let him be moved to a dialysis centre eg st nicholas...he will still av all investigatns done dre and re assessd by specialists. In d meantime , he will b undergoin dialysis while we ask dem for d medical report and all sort required to fly him out

Has d doctor discussd wt dj himsef cos he wasnt dre while we were discussin wt him.....so ow did he know he needs a renal transplant. remember d initial diagnosis was Cld which has to deal wt d liver.

yes, dats d type of medicine being practiced here. d doctor wont tell the patient what he's being managed for and the patient too wont bother to ask till he is discharged . patients dont know their rights and sometimes ignorant and d doctors dont want the patient to misinterpret or misunderstand his words. I neva liked it that way tooo
