it's you who don't know what you are talking about. Germany export non-essential things like cars, parts, planes etc. Everybody can live a perfectly normal life without German exports. For instance, Russia can survive perfectly without importing anything from Germany, Germany can't survive without importing from Russia. It is like comparing club owners to farmers. While club owners might make more money, during crisis like the one we're headed for, clubs become useless and farmers become the most important people

Saudi Arabia and the countries you mentioned have oil to export. Nuclear power cannot make you energy independent. You still need oil for your machinery and so on. Western economy is highly based on things that aren't useful.
