Both my Dobermans have their ears cropped and I have no issue communicating with them. Ear cropping may be illegal in certain countries but it’s not in Nigeria and we can choose to do it to our canines if we want.

You stated your Doberman ear was left untouched, how does the fallen ear of your Doberman help you understand it’s mood? A floppy ear has little or no way of determining the mood of a dog. However if it’s a dog with errect ears, I can agree
