Politics / Re: President Jonathan Approves N97/Litre As The New Pump Price For Petrol by walterman: 9:57am On Jan 16, 2012
We should be clamouring for change in this country,if the govt has come out with a programme to aid development which we can hold them accountable for and subsidy has to be cut to a certain level to aid this development i believe we need to give d FG our support.what labour has to be talking now is how to cut FEC & SENATE ALLOWANCES if we can have a minimum wage as poor as N18,000 as been a third world country our politicians should also have their pay, been rated as a third world country.
Politics / Re: Do You Want The Fuel Subsidy Back? Please Vote Here: by walterman: 11:34am On Jan 13, 2012
The federal government has its real reason for removing subsidy at this stage when they can actually borrow i.e if not available to fix our refinieries to meet local consumption.
What makes u feel d price of pms will go back to N65 or maybe N35 if our refineries start working at full capacity?
What makes u feel any investor will come and build a refinery in nigeria to sell at N65 wen d actual cost of refining pms per liter is about N106 (international price). He would be at a loss
All we are saying is that govt should cut down on its spendings, fix our 4 refineries to work at 100%,then remove subsidy.
Money from subsidy removal can den be used for other infrastructural developments.
Politics / Re: My Oil Firm Got No Kobo Of Subsidy From Fg -jimoh Ibrahim by walterman: 3:56pm On Jan 12, 2012
The first question we should ask is
What is the landing cost per liter of pms from refineries?
The guy might just be sincere in is business trying to make a reasonable margin in his profit.
Or maybe he has a refinery overseas he brings in petrol from.
NNPC SHOULD BE SERIOUSLY INVESTIGATED AS THEIR IS SO MUCH FRAUD GOING ON THERE.
