I agree more with neverdown and if you pay attention, ive mentioned some of his points over time. For list being completed and out of DPR; I'm 95% sure the selection is not complete yet thus i don't understand the list that have gone to FCC...the whole list selection will be very hush hush because of last minute pressure but I'm most certain no list have left DPR yet. However, i realise ppl like hearing these hope driven msgs so i guess it hurts no one if the list is out or not already. We will still hv to wait until we hear from them eventually. The plan is still to hav selected candidates resume in the 1st quater; we should get the letters in or before march. For now the importance of favor cannot be over emphasised. Pray, ask, wish for it because really the list that leaves most likely may hav some names switched. Gudluck

I understand your ignorance here, lemme bring you up to speed with what you don't know.

1.i have years of experience with DPR and it's modus operandi as regards recruitment, salaries, upfront up till its pension for retired staff.

2.recruitments have always been the same pattern since 2000/2001 batch, politicians have always influenced it either internally or externally.

3.there is really no much pressure here like the last recruitment where appointment letters came out a year and some months after the interview. Interview was 2011, APLs came Jan 2013,so pls tell me where is the pressure here.Alhaji Shakur happened to be the head HR then while Mrs Khalegha was head CS.

4.Now, I don't just know a handful of them, both serving and retired , I am privilege to know over 60.% of the staff in HR (head quarters). So when I say the list is out believe me it is out.

5. What u need not do is wrapping your brians around what you are not certain about (speculations) but believing and praying that your name or names don't get switched or replaced.. If the formal directors daughter can be replaced under his rule then who are you?

6.Now you should know by now that, I did not just cook this up, I am not new there, I ve got personal experience with em.

7.for the feeble hearted, pls don't let all this rubbish I wrote down here scare you o. Keep the hope alive - goodnight.

Pls Walush, can you explain more on the bolded?

A lot of alterations happens along this chain of command, from DPR to FCC to NASS in between civil service commission to ministry of petroleum resources MPR and back to dpr. The number of names sent remains the same but some names will be removed and replaced.(pray against senatorial antagonist). I happen to live and hangout with a handful of dpr staff, so pls don't ask the source of info.

Now this should not scare you or dampen your hope as this will be the highest number dpr has ever recruited. Keep that HOPE alive hopefuls.

They are through with selections, the list is no longer with DPR, at the moment the list is going through FCC-NASS-MPR and back to DPR for approval.

Now all these don't really matter, what matters here mostly is that, they don't tamper with the list as it goes through these offices, trust me what goes out is not what comes back in, and dpr dare not query it.. It is one thing to be shortlisted on merit by dpr and another thing to be successful/favored at the end. I guess this is where intense prayer is needed cos this is neither apt test nor interview stage where individual ability is required, this is that stage or phase where the powers that be, or the principalities and powers operates..

Hi everyone,

1. The recruitment is highly competitive, so many candidates have the same score classification.
2. Top candidates with the highest scores would be considered in each state
3. For each job role, top candidates would also be considered then...
4. There would be a careful selection of each of the selected candidates to make sure FCC standards thrive.
(I would not specify the number of candidates for good reasons).
5. In each state, two candidates cannot be recruited from the same local government.
6. For states having numerous DPR staff in service, they might not get that many slots.
7. Amongst the 3800+, there are several applicants that missed the interview.
8. Class of degree would be a yardstick for shortlisting.
9. Selection is still ongoing but the process is rigorous due to many factors.
10. APLs will roll in between now and March.
11. Relax and pray.
12. The recruitment would be merit-based, it's being monitored closely.

Sorry bro, I don't mean to controvert you but your point 6 and 9 is not accurate. They are through with selections, the list is no longer with DPR, at the moment the list is going through FCC-NASS-MPR and back to DPR for approval.

Now all this don't really matter, what matters here mostly is that, they don't tamper with the list, trust me what goes out is not what comes back in, and dpr dare not query it.. Nothing yet o, most of the guys in HR are just silent on the matter. The Head cooperate service is yet to resume, learnt he will be resuming 15th Jan. A lot of staff say the pressure is actually too much on him,We don't get any cogent info until he briefs his staff on the latest developments. So let's exercise patients till Monday.

The earliest anything will happen as per the next stage in this recruitment is february. Not jan 8

Common bro, where do you get ur infos from? U can't be too sure of this. Anything can happen, the whole exercise should end before the end of 1st quarter 2018,and don't forget January is part of the 1st quarter too. Just so u know, appointment letters for the last set started rolling out first week of Jan 2013 even before 8th Jan.now this might not be the case for this set but all I am trying to say is ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

Boss Walush,
Please how sure are you about this information, considering the fact that a lot of people here are slating that the interviews will end this Friday 15?
Thanks

It wasn't supposed to stretch that long, but u know, we are talking about 'Powers that be' here, One would wonder why only Abuja? And more so, not everyone will be on this platform... Just be prayerful and hope that your cumulative score(apt test and interview scores) is high enough to earn you an offer letter from them. The consultants are still very much in charge, they are the quite or silent ones on every interview panel, they just observe and record.

Finally, I urge you to be very prayerful.. because wetin I dey see so, na only prayers fit work for the ordinary man.

You lie! I feel sorry for you if you are just making shit like this up to bring others down. It says alot about who you are. A miserable person. Shakur is the DD corporate services and decision maker of this recruitment process. Surprisingly he has been way too strict with enabling stakeholders list. Go and ask anyone in DPR the staff kids that made it to interview stage is only about 10% because shakur explicitly made it clear that any staff kid that did not do well in exam won't be called and he did exactly that. Stop this BS of people getting invites ahead of the inital release date. They added stakeholder list with merit and invites were released same day. Nobody got 2weeks headstart like you claim. Which is why those also writing 2nd week are not getting their dates and venue yet until it is a week before. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying so hard to delivery bad news. If you got your invite, pls go and get busy. Face your life if you have nothing encouraging to dish out.

True talk though, but you should ve just mentioned his post/position alone, living out his name.. This is public domain, you don't know who is watching...... You should know better.

With this current situation where invites for interview have not been received, now my questions are:
Is the suspected 4th Dec. date for commencement of interview still workable?

Bearing in mind the hectic nature of travels during the yuletide, could Dpr still be able to conduct the interviews deep into December and appointment letters coming in by January?
Boss Walush pls help out.

Bro relax your mind, it's still going to hold this year. I don't know anything about Dec 4th they are talking here but I should be at head office on Tuesday, hope to get some clarification on this.

The reason for the delay I guess is for the good of those (merit) that will make the final list, those without political godfathers... I think they are trying to work on, or control the time interval btw when the interview is conducted and when appointment letters start coming in by January. They are probably trying avoid a second mistake. In the last recruitment, appointment letters came out months after the interview and it was not favorable because the list of successful candidates that was sent to Abuja was not the same list that came back to DPR (list had been tampered with) some top management staff queried the list because they had their kids or candidates names removed and replaced with unknown pple that did not even write the test initially.. They queried it and they were penalized. A typical example was the then Director himself (Mr Andrew Obaje) so I will advice you all calm down and keep praying cos the delay is for the better good of those without political godfathers or helpers... Anyway the Oga Boss (DD corporate service) just resumed office on Thursday, he is the only one that calls the shot as regards this recruitment exercise, no one else does. So let's see what next week has in store for the hopefuls - Good morning.

Guys pls help with suggestions & advice. Im in a dilema now.
Well its 4rm this thread i knew we need FSLC ie first school leaving certificate. I didnt know i wuld nid it till now..
I did common entrance in pry 5 n didnt finish pry 6 then, i went 2 a pub sec skul 4 only jss1 b4 goin 2 a private sec skul..so wen i kw we wuld need it i tried locating my pry skul was told d proprietress died 6yrs ago n d skul has closed down. Contacted 2 kids of d woman i was told dey av destroyed all d docs of d skul. I rem my pry skul took us 2 a centre 2 write common entrance in d area then, i cnt remember d name of d skul we wrote it. I dont even av d contact of any of my pry skul friends, cnt remember any1. Even goggled my pry skul e no dey google. Sent my mum 2 min of edu she was told that she shuld get centre / exam no wch i dont kw...now both testimonial or fslc i no get. i dont even kw wat 2 do n i wana sort ds tin out b4 dey call 4 interview. I only kw i did common entrance then..so i shuld av fslc but how to get it i dont know.
Any advice pls?
Do whatever you can to get one (FSLC) else you might not get a chance to be interviewed, there is a rigorous screening stage some hours before the interview (usually very thorough and strict). I know of someone that was sent out in the last interview because of that, it is used to ascertain the age as stipulated on your credentials. Not certain if the guy was later allowed to sit though. Little over a thousand OND's, GT's and EH's inclusive were invited out of which 250 were selected, yet they had no chill, so imagine what the screening procedures for this present(750 in all) will look like.

My advice, do all you can to lay your hand on one as it is very important...... Hope this helps?.

I see a lot of speculations in here, well DPR is trying to work out easier ways or measures as to how the interview should go. Guess they don't want it to be as clumsy and tight as the last interview(2012). There would be different interview centers, as staff are already working that out now, but what I do not know is whether or not they would give stipends to those coming from outside Lagos or generally as NNPC would usually do. The last interview was conducted in a building with about 3 to 5 different Interview panels, but it's not going to be the case this time around.. And just so you all know they are not taking 300 or 400 or 500 as most pple talk or think, it's 750 in all (250 OND's and 500 GT's and EH's)...
I am not sure of what to say about those with portal closed, some got msg/email, some didn't and yet the portal is still opened (personally I did not get the msg/email and my portal is very much alive) so what do we say about that? Something about this whole process still remains shrouded in secrecy,(even to most dpr staff) I guess you should wait for the invites to start rolling out first then ur status would be known. It's better to wait, stay mute, than to just give yourselves HBD as a result of speculations.

Only about one tenth will remain on this platform when the interview invites start coming in. Someone here said they shortlisted 3500 pple for the interview, I laugh, if only you knew(have you heard of STANDARD MERIT)? you should take a stroll to their headoffice to get clarification on that.Do you really think they have that strength? well, do not loose hope, stuffs happen and things change. Who knows you could be favored.God has the final say. Good morning.

Please who has relevant information about how the postings will be done. Since there are like five DPR branches plus the HQ, if I'm correct. My center was Abuja, it is possible I get the job and be posted to the Lagos or Kaduna office? Or they'll ask you to choose just like we chose our test centers?

And also, who knows how many GTs per category there would be in each branch. Eg: How many Environmentalist GTs will there be in Abuja?
DPR has 6 zonal offices, 1 head quarter, and 19 field offices, 26 units in all, but the 26 covers all the 36 States e.g Benue field office covers Nasarawa state , Ondo covers Ekiti, as there is no office in both Ekiti and Nasarawa and so it is for other states too. All the 19 field offices are headed by an operation controller OPSCON.

Also you don't get to choose were u would work, they decide for u, and you probably would resume immediately at your unit before any training will commence. And to your last question I guess the personnel department of cooperate service division alone has that answer.

Mr Walsh,
I would like to bring your attention tothe fact that the Head, Corporate Services Unit, travelled outta Naija for official purposes. He is not on annual leave, likewise non of the Top Management staff of the CorpServ.
In addition, results collation were being made @the DPR head office on daily basis while the examination is taking place. So, results have being compiled long ago. The delay is partly due to the various checks by the Federal Character Commission and the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and also due to reasons I can't say here.

keep on praying+fasting + waiting on God Almighty to receive Invitation for the Interview.
Thank you
cooperate service comprises of about 4 to 5 department under it, (Account dept, HR, logistics, etc) narrow it down to HR. You sure dnt expect me to spell out everything here. And just so u know, no collation was done in the head office as a lot of staffs don't even know the position or status of their kids or candidates except for those ONDs. So I guess staffs should know the status of their candidates if truly collations were done at the head office. The exercise is certainly going to be as transparent as possible (75%) under this present leadership. The delay would be worth it at the end.

bro, please do you think the process will be concluded before November? I'm asking for a very important reason..

Also, I find it weird that most management staff will be on leave. won't the organization be on hold itself. An organization like DPR? well me no know and finally, is it DPR staff conducting this recruitment or snapnet guys. if its snapnet, wetin concern the management staff na.

Anyways thanks for informing us
They have management staffs(Chiefs and managers) and top management staffs(Assitant Directors and Deputy Directors) all of which must be present in their departments b4 any interview can be conducted. They r a lot of department and all headed by managers and ADs. The cooperate service department is a very sensitive and secretive one, dpr staffs in other departments dnt even know the next move.. Like I said earlier, it's going to end this year. It's a new week let's see how things unfold this week.... Good morning.

Information from a DPR HR Staff states that interview is soon and federal character is being used to give slots to different regions... That's all he was willing to say...
Federal character already did their part before the test was conducted, sharing formula was the first thing they did immediately after staffs promotion early this year which attributed to the delay in the aptitude test.. So just keep ur fingers crossed as most of the Management staffs are on leave. Although the deputy director cooperate service just resumed last week, majority should resume this week . As at Monday last week, the only result in the office was that of ONDs, they are yet to receive others... It will all end this year as dpr will certainly not start next year with a total staff strength less than 700 as a sizable number of them are retiring by December . Keep on praying if u know how to.
